Praise for Red Star DivisionBig Bad Djinn is, quite simply, huge wonderful fun. Great plot full of action, wonderful cast of characters and superb writing. What more could you ask for? Mysterious Amazon Shopper This is probably -okay- most definitely going to be one of my favorite series in the whiskey world. JoyfreeThe result is a very well thought out page turner with many deadly (and … out page turner with many deadly (and hilarious) twists and turns. Thomas
Couldn’t put this book down. Tracy Mars
If you like magic, shifters, car chases and a smart a$$ shifting demon hunter, you’re gonna love this book. Sunnyles
How powerful is powerful enough?
Detective Dexx Colt is going to be a father. Again. He’s already unofficially adopted Leah and Bobby, but now he has a bun in the oven. Twins.
How bad can it be, really? He’s a powerful shifter. She’s a powerful witch. They’re gonna have two powerful babies that might…blow up the town in a tantrum? What could go wrong? It’s unfamiliar ground, and that’s for certain.
So, when Oliver Eastwood’s bank is robbed, he’s thrilled. First, it couldn’t have happened to a better fellow, and second, he can focus on blowing stuff up again. But when that robbery is followed by a strange theft, and the death of one Chuck’s alphas, he begins to suspect he’d better off at the OBGYN with his mate.
He’s about to experience what his twins might be capable of. And it’s terrifying.
If you love Jim Butcher, Shayne Silvers, and Orlando A. Sanchez, you’re sure to find this series entertaining!

Wolfram tells a really thrilling story and proves the teaching that leading is harder than it looks, particularly for a demon-hunter turned cop trying to avoid leading if at all possible (and it’s not possible). So when is the next book coming out?

Oh boy, here we go again, Paige is pulled away & Dexx has to fix things without her. Good thing he has help, his pack & the remaining Whiskey witches. This new threat takes everyone’s joint efforts with Paige gone.

When you shift into the largest feline on the continent, it can mess with your ego. Luckily Dexx has family ties and a pack to keep him in the real world, whether it’s the one shared by mundanes or the planes his spirit animal is helping him to understand better. And he’s going to have to call on all the skills he has, supernatural, mechanical, and social, to guard everything he loves from a bad hombre from Down Under, the Lizard Wizard.
Nobody can do it alone, as someone who has a supernatural sabre-tooth living in his skin with him knows only too well.

Lizard Wizard is an intriguing story full of demons, djinns, shifters, paranormals, mystery and so much more. I loved Dexx’s sense of humor. Although Lizard Wizard can be read as a standalone I definitely recommend you read the whole series. Great writing and an intriguing characters make this a fantastic read. Plus since it is taking place in my home state of Oregon it’s an added bonus.
Lizard Wizard by F. J. Wolfram is a book set in the Whiskey Witches Universe. This is definitely a stand alone book and it is not necessary to read any other book in the series to love this book. I loved the plot which mainly focuses on Dexx who is employed by the governments Red Star Division. The Red Star Division is a group of paranormals that are hired as paranormal police to investigate and or stop crimes that are committed by paranormals. The story starts off with a series of mysterious crimes that Dexx is tasked with solving. This book had me hanging on every page and reading as fast as I could. I really couldn’t put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great mystery that is full of paranormal creatures and situations that make this book the gem it is!
I loved Lizard Wizard! It is an amazing paranormal mystery!
Dexx is in charge of the Red Star division and they are handed a series of rather strange crimes to investigate. Crimes that don’t seem possible to have pulled off. A bank robbery and the break in of a private museum seem to be impossible to solve. A witch shifter and his pack of thieves and all around bad folks are responsible but can Dexx prove it. Can he keep his officers safe, save an ancient being held captive and being drained of power. Can he stop the witch shifter or will he and Hattie be defeated. A thrill ride of a story that has it all. Good versus evil, more snark than ever, babies on the way and lots of action. This series of books are among my favourite. I can’t wait for the next. Jim Butcher eat your heart out. There’s a new family in town that will give Dresden and his cronies a run for their money and magic. A winner through and through.

F.J Wolfram brings us a Whiskey Witches installment filled with magic, mayhem, shifters, demons, and a whole lot of fun – Lizard Wizard is a fun reading page turner that is sure to keep you hooked. This installment is well written and filled with intrigue and suspense, this fast paced story keeps the reader immersed until the end.
Paige has been ordered to report to the angels, so Dexx is in charge of keeping the family safe. No easy task for this carefree fun loving guy.
An Australian dude has appeared in town and is insistent on buying Jackie, Dexx’s first love. When denied the car this Cooper guy starts showing up every where and trouble abounds. It soon becomes apparent this is no ordinary guy. Dexx is in over his head and no Paige when he needs her. Even his “fat” cat has shown some fear.
I really got into this one as Troutdale is just down the street from me. I had no idea there was a shifter pack so near.
I’m giving this story five stars for keeping mesmerized from the beginning to the end.

We are back with the next installment of the Whiskey Witches and Dexx. Paige gets taken away by angels to face an accusation. Dexx and the rest of the family are in for the hugest fight to date. A new kind of power has come to Portland to take over! Dexx has to deal with someone who is a witch that has some incredible powers (cannot give away)! His crew is also made up of some deadly foes! They discover new shifters, more powers, and a whole lot of trouble! It will take all of them combined to defeat the forces they face…but in the end…it will be Dexx who takes the lead in more ways than one! I received this book via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review!

Shiftings (Whiskey Witches Series Boxset Book 2): Since these were three different series, I read each series instead of the first book of all three and then the second books. Since I’ve read all the books since Demon Whiskey, it didn’t hurt the reading order. If you’re new to the Whiskey Witches world, you’ll do yourself a favor by starting with the first book Whiskey Witches. While each book can be read without the previous books, there are ongoing storylines carried through the all the series. Knowing the past just makes for a richer, deeper understanding of the individual books. I contacted Blooding to review her books.
F. J. Wolfram, Big Bad Djinn #1 – This is my second read by this author and I enjoyed BBD. I’ve read the Whiskey Witches series and this spinoff is the next step. After reading Double-Double Demon by Wolfram, I backtracted to this series. BBD is Dexx’s domain, with Paige being elsewhere working leaving him behind to handle things. Well written, fast paced and with plenty of action, which is what D-DD shares. The characters aren’t unknown to us that have read WW and the new ones add depth and conflict to the story. There’s plenty of intrigue, suspense and humor to keep the reader glued to the pages. 4*
F. J. Wolfram, Lizard Wizard #2 – This is probably better than Big Bad Djinn, which was pretty good. Well written, fast paced and funny, LW is a great addition to the series. Dexx has grown in his roles. The intriguing storylines twist like a bronco keeping the reader’s interest until the last page. I’m ready for more of the Red Star gang. 4*
Hattie Hunt, Bear Moon #1 – This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed BM. Well written and intriguing. These characters are interesting and characters from the Whiskey Witches are present, too. The twisting plot holds suspense, gamut of emotions and is fast paced. 4*
Hattie Hunt, Grizzly Attraction #2 – A bear and a porcupine? Sometimes diversity is too much, but it didn’t matter in this interesting story. Well written with the emphasis heavy on family and friends, this was a quickly read story. The characters were good, even the baddies, and made for an interesting and entertaining story. 4*
S. M. Blooding, Desert Shaman #1 – More of the Whiskey Witches and Paige is going nuts with all her responsibilities. Well written and filled with intrigue and suspense, this fast paced story keeps the reader immersed until the end. The old characters are dealing, again, with new, nasty characters. But there’s still humor, along with more paranormal dudes. 4*
S. M. Blooding, Whiskey on the Rocks #2 – Paige has less than four weeks to go before their twins are born and is she at home resting for the big event? Are you new to the series? Heck no, she’s working. Well written, intriguing, fast paced, just the normal writing style of Ms. Blooding, along with a good dose of humor. The characters are great as always and keep the twisting storylines moving and the reader immersed in all the happenings. Another WW story well done. 4*
Shiftings Series End.
This is one series I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Dexx is the perfect study in trying to figure out the male mind. His way of thinking is “different” (to say the least) and hilarious. I am impressed with how good he is with all of the kids, especially Leah. He is also becoming a pretty good cop since he is running Red Star division while Paige is gone, more often than not. Even his relationship with Tuck, the sheriff, has evolved. He’s actually getting the hang of this chaos called his life. When alphas start turning up dead and new shifters come to town, he’ll have to put all of his talents and team to work to prevent disaster. That is if they don’t all die first. With the packs alphas targeted, Chuck needs Dexx’s help. Leslie is finally in touch with her spirit animal and it is a doozy. Plus Chuck brought Joe and Ripley to Dexx, as well. His little ragtag pack is growing by leaps and bounds and he’ll have more alpha duties. You don’t necessarily have to have read the previous book, but it does make the story so much better if you have. I do hope he does some shopping soon before he starts running around in Paige’s clothes. Maybe he can figure out how to shift like Ripley and Leslie and not lose his clothes. I highly recommend this book, the Red Star Division series and the entire Whiskey Witches series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
And the fun continues!
At the end of Big Bad Djinn the Red Star Division
was in a bit of “hot water” – come on we all know it was not
intentional – okay most of it was not intentional-
Dexx is learning to be a bit more “understanding” and patient –
as well as accepting that he may have to take on a bit more responsibility than he would normally like –
May the divinities help us all I have a feeling we are going to need all the help we can get this time
Dexx and his crew are in for a nasty bout of bad juju that not only has its eyes set on the locals but is also h@!! bent on messing with his pack and family
We get introduced to some seriously tainted new characters that will make even a die-hard paranormal lover a bit apprehensive
Some possible tissue box scenes, as well as some really unique insiders, view into the Whiskey’s family round book two out to be another must-read in the Red Star series
And stay away from the cold-blooded scaley types – that is if you can see them
