A pain so powerful can only be eased by a love even stronger.Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Aaron’s story …Single Dad of Seattle, Aaron Steele isn’t a single dad at all. He’s a … isn’t a single dad at all. He’s a retired Navy SEAL whose sister just died, leaving him to raise her newborn daughter all by himself. Only he has no clue how to be a dad–let alone a single dad. He’s lost in a sea of diapers and bottles, late nights and exhausting mornings, all the while dealing with a failure from his last mission he just can’t shake. He needs help. He needs a nanny.
Professional nanny Isobel Jones has a heart of gold. She’s always willing to help out, no matter the cause. She spends her days with children making memories and her nights on the laptop making magic as a graphic designer. After hearing Aaron’s heartbreaking story, she jumps at the chance to help. But she never expected her new boss to be a blue-eyed Adonis with dog tags, who quickly begins to fuel her fantasies.
While the beautiful nanny is off-limits, she’s also a welcomed distraction. Aaron’s grief is still raw and he just knows he’s going to mess up this whole dad thing. Isobel’s never shied away from a challenge, and that’s exactly what Aaron is-a big challenge. He’s angry and stubborn, moody and confusing, and yet she knows deep down he’s capable of so much love.
Will Isobel living with the single dad help pull him out of his misery, or will Aaron let the turmoil inside him chase away perhaps the only person that could help him finally find happiness?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you

This book is amazing any guy who steps up when a kid isnt biologically theirs is alright with me. I can just picture aaron in my head and the whole story just gets me being a mom myself I only want the best for my kids and when aarons sister died he stepped up no problem to take care of his niece.
Aaron, Isobel and Sophie’s story broke my heart. Here I was crying like a baby while reading and still loving every minute of this book. Whitley Cox did a beautiful job writing this, as she usually does, and I was immediately hooked. Aaron definitely struggled so much with the loss of his sister/best friend and becoming the sole caretaker of his newborn niece. Isobel, technically a graphic designer, works as a nanny and is hired to help Aaron. They have their issues and clashes but in the end they were perfect for each other. Another absolute fantastic addition to the series.
I loved this beautiful romance. This is Aaron and Isobel’s story and it is as heartbreaking as it is heart warming. My heart ached for Aaron, who’s story is painful, tragic and unfortunately, exceptionally realistic. His grief, anger, frustration and anxiety seem to seep through the pages and it becomes all too easy to imagine him as someone you know and someone you desperately want to help. Isobel was amazing. Incredibly kind, capable and caring, this spunky female was everything Aaron needed and then some. This couple’s chemistry sparked and their pull of attraction was undeniable. I think that this is a powerful and deeply meaningful romance that every romance fan should read.
Aaron is a standup guy because he had to be for his little sister. The only thing the foster system did right was to keep them together until he turned 18, begged for a job and let his boss help him become the guardian of his sister, Dina. Now after putting her through high school, undergraduate, and then law school as a Navy SEAL, he’s been medically discharged after the failure of his last mission which resulted in the death of close friends. Now nine months later his sister has been killed in a mass shooting leaving him to bring home her premie baby girl from the hospital. Thank goodness for Liam, Dina’s fellow lawyer, who has arranged for Isobel, to be a nanny for Aaron because he is totally unprepared. And the lack of love in his life with all his loses has turned him into one angry-at-the-world man. Iz has accepted the job which he turns into a live-in, work 24 hours a day job. What a story Ms. Cox crafts as Aaron expects the world from Isobel because she delivers it on a silver platter until they go past pure professional to lovers. Then Iz decides Aaron takes too much while continuing his silent but demanding ways! Plenty of action, danger, heroism, tears, conflict, and hard resolutions, along with visits from the Seattle Single Dads Poker Club, his SEAL buddy, and Isobel’s parents. Any reader will love this book! I volunteered this review after reading an ARC.
Emotionally Touching!
This book not only touches on real life drama, it also gives you that HEA that so many of us crave.
It’s not an Easy road for Aaron, but he was blessed with an amazing woman to help him on his journey of raising his niece as his own. Isobel, who is immediately attracted to Aaron, is his saving grace.
Not only is she his saving grace, but he is hers. A book with great twist and heart wrenching turns.
Absolutely loved, loved this book. This series keeps getting better and better. It may be my favorite of the series. It was very well written with amazing characters. It’s a must read for sure. You’ll love it.
Living with the Single Dad by Whitley Cox. OMG! I just finished this story and I am so in love with both Isobel and Aaron, their characters are so heartfelt and amazing. Their story is one of tragedy, pain, suffering, and enduring love and compassion. It really pulls at your heart strings; makes you want to shake sense into them one minute and bear hug ‘em in the next minute. Definitely worth reading and I am looking forward to next in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. I have to admit that this was a difficult story for me to read. I received this ARC the week after the three mass shootings that rocked the US. Aaron, our H, has become custodian of his newborn niece after a mass shooting at a mall. Isobel, Tori’s sister from book 1, becomes his nanny. The author does a wonderful job relating the pain and anguish the survivors feel. The difficulty that those adjacent to the tragedy have in helping the people wade through the tumultuous emotions that continue way after the rest of the world moves on. Now this is a love story, so there is chemistry, steam and some funny moments. A strong, emotional 4.5 star read.
Aaron just stole my heart and turned me inside out. I swear I could feel his pain and I so wanted to help him. Isobel was just the sweetest and I loved how she wouldn’t back down, so soft and sweet with a steel core. This story brought all the feels out and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I loved this story and I think Aaron is my Favourite Single Dad so far!!
The storyline was well written and the characters were so well developed that I was hooked from the very beginning! The emotions that Aaron and Isobel felt seemed so real that I was totally entranced throughout the entire book!
I’m loving this series so big and with every book I think it can’t get any better that is until I pick up the next book and fall head over heels once again with another single dad from Seattle. This book starts off a lot more serious and a lot sadder than the previous books in the series and it touched me on so many different levels but it captivated me and there was no putting down until I had read the very last line. This is an emotional read you will cry, you will smile and you will love Aaron and Isobel’s story, it’s a journey you will want to read so please one click this great entertaining read……..
I’m not going to give too much of the story away because I think you need to read this with no expectations or preconceived ideas of where this love story is going all you need to know is ….
A strong sassy caring woman who has compassion but who is nobody’s doormat and a man who thinks he is not worthy of love come together over their love for a tiny baby born a month early.
This book is my favourite in this series for many reasons but that doesn’t mean I haven’t loved the previous books and that I can’t wait for the next in this wonderful series.
This story had so much heartache and life threatening scenarios, you could practically feel the emotional upheaval in the characters. Aaron and Isobel were portrayed with so many different feelings of loss, sadness, anger, and finally love, you couldn’t help but cheer for this couple to ultimately be together. Enjoyed this book and will be looking forward to others by Ms. Cox.

Reminds Us that Relationships Comes in all Numbers
Whitley Fox is writing such a wonderful series for her readers and this story which is book #4 has such a moving, gut wrenching plot. Given what has been occurring in the states recently I’m feeling so sensitive to random acts of violence including the Walmart massacre in El Passo where an infant lost both parents. The timing of this is gob smacking to say the least.
I have great empathy and sympathy for Sophie’s Uncle Aaron. Not only is he dealing with his sister’s untimely and violent death thereby leaving her preemie daughter in NICU, Seattle. We find out over the course of the story he’s dealing with PTSD due to a S. American mission as a Seal that went horribly wrong.
Because he is the sole family member he hires the recommended Isobela. She is a fierce, warrior-like young woman who all to often leads with her heart instead of her head as is the case here. She is immensely attracted to the buffed Aaron and he is attracted to her. The down side is that He doesn’t really know how to talk to her except by through physical contact. She, on the other hand is ready to talk and discuss.
After awhile that is not enough even though he has rescued her twice from violent men (date rape attempt, carjacking). Finally he gets it. But is it too late?
I definitely am recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

I love this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone. These single dads are so sexy.
Each story is unique and well written. Awesome characters that are easy to fall in love with. Fantastic description of details making it easy to visualize. Easily drawn into the story.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA. I would have loved to have seen a bit more of Aarons POV though.
All in all a great read!

Aaron’s in his head, Iz’s heart is on her sleeve. He’s dark sexy and covered in tattoos. Not to mention ex Navy Seal! smart, sultry and living in his house. This story had me hooked from the first page. Aaron is all up in his head and with a brand new baby that isn’t even his awaiting his love he needs Iz to help them both. This is so far my favourite single dads of Seattle so far!
Aaron may have left his career as a Navy SEAL in his past but the memories and aftereffect still remain and adapting to civilian life has been difficult. When tragedy strikes he finds himself a single father to his infant niece Sophie which only makes the struggles he faces that much more difficult. He knows he needs help and that comes in the form of Isobel.
Isobel is a caring sensitive woman who has a painful past of her own. Her heart breaks for both Aaron and Sophie and will do anything in her power to help them adjust as they prepare for a life without his sister and her mother.
Their journey definitely had its challenges but it is how they handled those challenges that will stay with you long after you finish their story. Full of emotion this is a heartwarming story about love, healing and new beginnings.
Aaron never expected to be a dad, it just wasn’t in the cards. Then his sister is taken from him in a senseless tragedy and leaves her premature baby for him to raise. He can’t do it alone so Liam steps in and hires Isobel as a nanny. Isobel has a big heart and immediately wants to help Aaron with his niece. From the moment they meet, the attraction is there. But Isobel thinks it is all on her side as Aaron keeps her at a distance with his silence and his gruff manner. Aaron is terrified that being close to him is dangerous and can’t give in to his attraction to the magnificent woman who lives in his house. When push comes to shove, will Aaron be able to let Isobel in or will he lose her forever?
I fell in love with Aaron and Isobel! They are my favorite couple, bar none! Aaron is a red-head, oh my lord, how hot is that?! He is so closed off and in terrible pain that you can’t help but love him even when he is a jerk. Isobel is just an amazing woman, I would love to be besties with her. Her heart is so big and she doesn’t hide how she feels. She is so perfect for Aaron and when he finally lets her in, it is beautiful. Their story felt like fate, it was meant to be. I am so in love with the Single Dads of Seattle series!
Aaron is a great addition to the Single Dads Club!! I loved the chemistry between him & Isobel. The build-up was amazing, and I loved how she was so open & caring while he dealt with his grief/past. It was impossible to put down!!
I will say the reason it’s getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because of Mercedes. I really, really didn’t like her. It might be because my SO is a veteran and I found her insanely disrespectful, but she just rubbed me the wrong way. I also felt that the constant gun comments were a little too politically charged. I read to escape real life & with what’s happened recently it was a bit too much.
Honestly, the writing and characters were amazing. I definitely can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
This is the fourth book in the The Single Dads of Seattle .
This book is an emotional sexy hot read.
I found I couldn’t put this book down the plot really takes
you on a journey that will have you absolutely glued to the pages.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Booksprout.
This story hits so real!! With everything going on in the world right now, this storyline is sadly one of the most realistic, and it definitely added another layer into this storyline that I loved. Aaron is a Navy SEAL that has experienced a lot in his time serving, added to the rough childhood he had with his sister in the foster care system. When he receives a call that his sister who recently gave birth to a baby girl, has died in a mass shooting, Aaron is overcome with a combination of grief and responsibility to take care of and raise his niece. Not knowing the first thing to do in taking care of a newborn, his sister’s friend Liam helps him hire Isobel, an experienced nanny and a familiar face in this series (she is Tori from book 1’s sister), and while there are instant sparks between the pair, they have a common goal to care for and raise Sophie. This storyline from Whitley is a little different than the past ones, as there is an added level of drama involved (from being drugged to carjacked), but it really adds to the storyline and the relationship between Aaron and Isobel. The bulk of this book was Aaron attempting to deal with his grief from losing his sister in combination with his PTSD from his time in the navy, and Isobel was the breath of fresh air and voice of reason for him to really help him not only cope, but manage his feelings in a healthier way. I can’t say enough good things about not only Whitley’s writing but this series, and I can’t wait for the next single dad story!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
