A hookup turned lethal. A spurned, angry cowboy. Can rebel Maggie turn the tables before a killer adds her to the list of lost causes?“Hutchins’ Maggie is an irresistible train wreck—you can’t help but turn the page to see what trouble she’ll get herself into next.” Robert Dugoni, #1 Amazon Bestselling Author of My Sister’s GraveWashed-up alt-country-rocker-turned-junker Maggie Killian is pulled … Grave
Washed-up alt-country-rocker-turned-junker Maggie Killian is pulled to Wyoming by an irresistible force . . . former bull rider Hank Sibley, the man who broke her heart fifteen years before. When she unexpectedly meets his Sunday school-teaching-girlfriend at a saloon, Maggie seeks liquor-fueled oblivion between the sheets of a younger man’s bed. But after her beloved vintage truck breaks down and leaves her stranded in the Cowboy State, she learns her hookup died minutes after leaving their rendezvous. Suddenly surrounded by men with questionable motives, Maggie searches for the murderer while fighting the electricity between herself and her old beau and her new penchant for local whiskey.
When the police zero in on Maggie despite a disturbing series of break-ins at her guest cabin, she realizes she’s got no one to rely on but herself. To keep herself happily in bars instead of behind them, she must stop the killer before the cops realize the man she really suspects is a jealous, angry Hank.

I had a very hard time reading this. Just wanted it to end!
Really enjoyed reading this book! The characters were interesting, the plot line current and I couldn’t stop turning the page! Highly recommend!
I would have liked this so much better without the repeated foul language.
I enjoy ALL her books!
Good read
Unique book that drags you into the story. Im not sure I liked the ending. No resolution. I want a hapily ever after. Instead our heroine leaves our hero recovering from a gunshot wound and his “girlfriend” claiming she’s pregnant with his child. I wanted her to finally stand up for her soul mate and fight for true everlasting love!
enjoyable characters
very entertaining
I am glad I don’t havealll those things happening to me.
The story is good and kept my attention, but the profanity is a turnoff. Not necessary to use to make a good story. Also the lead character comes across as a bit of a slut, but still tries to convince us she is a good person.
This was a fun read and it didn’t end the way I was predicting. Good story.
Enjoyed the fast entertaining read.
Boring. Couldn’t get past few pages.
Enjoyed
If I read it, it was excellent !!!!! I READ IT. JAK,jr.
Unpredictable with a great twist at the end
At first I thought it would be just another Love Story. It did have love in it but was different. I cannot say more without giving up the ending. Great Read.
Hutchins’ Maggie is an irresistible train wreck—you can’t help but turn the page to see what trouble she’ll get herself into next.
This was an entertaining book. I enjoyed most of the characters but did not especially like Maggie. In addition to her other problems, she drank far too much and I do not like alcoholics. In the end, she did the right thing so my opinion of her improved somewhat. There were some nice twists to the plot but I did identify the bad guy early on… still, it was a good read.
My KIndle says I’ve finished 42% of the book and there has been hardly a mention about the murder. So far it’s been about her past relationship and other back-ground info. I STOPPED reading it !!! BORING.
I really like these characters and look forward to reading more books about Maggie.
