What will Sibyl find when she moves to a small Aussie town? Deadly snakes and redback spiders? Sure, but she also finds something unexpected . . Sybil Potts moves to Little Tatterford, a small town in the middle of nowhere in Australia, seeking to find peace and quiet after the upheaval of her divorce. Although the town is sleepy and nothing has ever happened, her arrival coincides with a murder … happened, her arrival coincides with a murder in the boarding house adjacent to her cottage.
Sybil soon finds she is at odds with the attractive Blake Wessley, the exasperated police officer trying to solve the murder.
After Sibyl narrowly misses becoming the next victim, she turns her attention to the suspects. Is it the posh English gentleman, Mr. Buttons, who serves everyone tea and cucumber sandwiches — crusts off, of course — or her quirky landlady, Cressida Upthorpe, who is convinced she knows what her spoiled cat, Lord Farringdon, is thinking?
Or is it somebody else entirely?

A delightful read. Quirky characters and charming voice. Morgana Best never disappoints. Highly recommended.
Very enjoyable! Sibyl moves to Little Tatterford from Sidney and her first day is a nightmare. A dead body was discovered at the boarding house associated with her cottage. Someone seems out to get rid of Sibyl, either by murder or by framing her for murder. Fun book set in Australia with quirky characters. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of this series!!
Sybil Potts moves to Little Tatterford to a rental that is rented for her by her ex-husband. Of course, the rental isn’t all it’s made out to be, but the neighbors in the adjacent boarding house make up for it. Soon after her move, one of the boarders is murdered. Sybil can’t help herself and becomes involved and almost becomes the next victim. Fun Read. Oh, and Sybil has a little secret of her own.

What fun!
Of course I know that murder is no laughing matter, but there is so much situational humor here. There is the exotic landlady and the cat who talks to her, the Tarot-reading roomer with significant OCD, the events at the vet office, the mixup regarding a dog to be washed, the madness over a silent alarm, and so much more! Like most of us who live on the other side of the equator, I know very little about time-distance of locations in Australia, but this story takes pity on us and makes things simple and very understandable.
The publisher’s blurb gives the basics, and there are no spoilers here, just watch out for the plot twists.
Great author and a gifted new series!
Live and Let Die is the first book in the Amateur Australian Sleuth Series. This is a fun, fast and easy read to a new series by Morgana Best.
Sybl Potts is reeling after her divorce and moves to Tattersford, a quaint and quiet little town. This story has wonderful quirky characters and I have to admit, Mr Buttons is absolutely one of my favorites. As soon as Sybl arrives, there’s a murder, will Sybl be next?
Great start to a series. I truly enjoyed reading this and highly recommend it.
Sybil’s starting a new life after her divorce. She can’t wait for a fresh start somewhere new. She’s moved to a small town in Australia. She’s starting a new business as a mobile pet groomer. But it’s not long before she finds a dead body. She thinks she knows how they were killed. She’s determined to investigate to find the killer. But she’s in for a big shock. There’s lots of new interesting people in her life. And there is a lot of suspicious characters as well who could have been the killer.
Many twists and turns. A bad divorce is hard, but starting over is too…especially in a new place with people you don’t know and a murder that points to you!
