A really sweet story about friendship and old love. Loved the main characters.
It’s always amazing to know new authors and it’s even more freaking awesome to dive into some new series.
I’ve been reading my fair share of books and I love not only hard books but also the soft ones.
Each book is a new experience and I always want more.
Kelsie Rae is a new author to me and I’m in love.
I’m in love with her words and I want to read Kincaid stop.
Her writing is sweet, funny, and super engaging. Just see for yourself.
Liv is the first book from the Signature Sweethearts and explores the lives of Liv and Luke.
These two were best friends since high school but life got in the way and they pull apart.
Unfortunately, after Liv’s husband passed away she was left all alone and pregnant.
Luke as soon as he knows about it stepped up to help her. But can the past stay there… In the past??
Omg
I freaking loved this book. It was perfect and perfect… That’s for sure.
Fantastic plot, super engaging, super intense, and emotional.
Each chapter made it hard to stop reading and when I knew it… It was over.
It was a rollercoaster of emotions and I was caught up in that turmoil.
Sadness, heartache, pain was very present as well as true love, second chances, and happiness.
During the book, you catch the glimpse of other characters that I can’t wait to dive in to know more.
Kelsie… Oh boy… I’m so glad that I have the other books waiting…
I love a good baby story, and I love a good guy. I also love a second-chance. While this wasn’t technically second-chance, it was a second chance on a missed opportunity. I need a Luke in my life: a shoulder, friend, lover, caretaker, etc. Liv was a strong woman who had a lot of crap thrown at her for years, and mostly handled it with grace. It had some tear-inducing moments, but also had a lot of passion and lots of swooning going on. I loved it!
I enjoyed this book. It was very similar to Kennedy Fox Baby Mine though. Not sure which book came out first. But I enjoyed it anyway.
It was a ok book. Written well. I just couldn’t get over how long he suffered in silence. In my opinion, he was too good for her. He did get his happy ending however.
This is the author’s debut and I loved it and never wanted to put it down (but I had to cause I moved house and was unpacking as well as mummy duties to my 4 year old son and almost 1 year old daughter). I can’t wait to read more from this author and see what happens next in this series.
Liv married her high school sweetheart. Her life could not be any more perfect. Then tragedy hits and she loses the love of her life and the morning of his funeral she finds out she is pregnant. Now she has to figure out what she is going to do as Adam was her whole life.
Luke was Adam and Liv’s best friend all through high school. Luke is in love with Liv but Adam got to her first. When he and Adam have a falling out, he walks out of their lives and leaves town to give Adam and Liv a real chance. He was never supposed to see them again. But when Adam dies, he goes back to say goodbye to his best friend.
I loved the Epilogue. It updates you on where the characters are in the future. It was a perfect ending to an amazing story.
Its a must read so go and one click it now.
I just completed reading “Liv” and found it to be a well written debut novel. I loved both protagonists but would have liked more insight from Luke’s perspective.
Liv and Luke both were grieving the death of Liv’s husband. Brought together at his funeral, they reconnect. Add in a pregnancy, a girlfriend and a not so nice mother-in-law and you have the perfect mix of angst, jealousy, regret and love.
Luke’s relationship with his girlfriend, played against his secret feelings for Liv may seem out of place to some people, but trying to move on, bad decisions and fear of rejection are part of life. Real life is messy and that’s what makes this story work.
Full of emotion this is a great book to snuggle up with.

Liv

I very much enjoyed this book, it immediately drew me in and held my attention to the end. The storylines and characters are interesting and well developed. It falls somewhere between a between a friends to lovers and a second chance romance. Liv’s husband, Adam, is killed in a car accident, leaving her heartbroken and unsure of her future. To add to her worries she finds out she is pregnant. Their old friend Luke comes back home to attend his funeral. At one time they were a trio, but when Luke went off to college he fell out of touch with them. Luke vows to take care of her and tells her to come stay with him. Liv takes him up on his offer. I thought these two were great together, Luke always had feelings for her but hid them because of Adam. Liv never picked up on this but always thought he was her best friend. I loved how they get reacquainted as friends, also loved hearing Luke’s thoughts and his side of things. I enjoyed how their story played out, the drama, the history and then Liv finding out what she wants in life. I was rooting for Luke to get his true love, hoping Liv would give it to him. Kelsie Rae thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Amanda Stribling does a great job narrating the story and bringing these characters to life. She performs the voices of all the characters, gives each their own unique sound making it easy to follow them. She sets the perfect tone for the story, adds the right amount of dramatic flair to enhance an already great story another level. Thank you for another great listen

When Liv’s husband suddenly dies she’s faced with the unimaginable when those 2 pink lines show up the morning of the funeral. With no remaining family, unless you count her mother-in-law who isn’t exactly the supportive loving kind, she’s forced to find a way to move forward.
This book has all the feels. There’s humor, sadness, anger, shock, and happiness. I sincerely enjoyed this book and all the side characters as well as the main ones. This was well written and flowed so smoothly. I was gripped right from the start and had a hard time putting it down. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
A good heart warming story. Loved the characters. I’ve known this to happen and I can appreciate all that these two people have gone through.A happily ever af her that you all will love!!
I really like the story and the possibility of the characters love and lives.
An interesting challenge for a debut novel. Not sure I agree with some of the things this author did as the story rolled on but I do like this author’s style. I do love a friends to lovers read and in this case it kinda qualifies. They have known each other forever and while she is now a widow, he was the one regulated to friend status when he moved too slow. Yeah a touchy one but it is a good read and the author can pen a story if you can appreciate it and I did. It’s a light and refreshing read and the characters actually show up in the books to follow. Mainly I enjoyed the read and the characters and an enjoyable read that didn’t abuse my emotions. I like this author’s style and I will definitely read more of the sweethearts just to enjoy a hallmark channel type of read that has all the feels.
I liked characters and storyline
Great book!
I just finished this slow-burn book, and it left me with the biggest smile and sigh of satisfaction! What a great story with endearing characters. There were times I wanted to wring Liv’s neck, because Luke was showing her so much love, and she was quick to shrug it off to obligation or charity, But love prevails, and I enjoyed every second of this book. The only thing I would change is that I wanted more intimacy between the characters. But a good book should always make you want more, right? I will be checking out Kelsie Rae’s other books now!
Nice sweet story, focused on main characters. Wonderful when the hero has does does right things even when its hard.
Pretty much perfect. (And it wasn’t even the genre I typically read!)
Loved, loved, loved this book so much.Devoured it all in one day. Had it on my kindle for a few months before I got round to reading it. Wish now that I hadn’t waited. This story was beautifully written and i totally adored Liv and Luke. If people were ever meant to be together then it’s those 2. Will definitely be reading the rest of this series.
What a sweet romance. This one has it all, amazing chemistry between the main characters, engaging premise, skillful writing and enough obstacles along the way to make it interesting. Kelsie Rae has created in Liv one of the most adorable, sympathetic main characters who you will root for down to your last breath. She is so well written and drawn out that you will actually go out into the world looking for her. No luck thus far here on the East Coast – please give a shout out if you spot her – she is totally worth the plane fare to visit. I read this novel several weeks ago but everytime I see the cover i can’t help but grin from ear to ear. It is that good and will leave an impression on your heart. Thank you Kelsie Rae for bringing us Liv, I can’t wait for you to introduce us to our next best friend. You rock.
I really enjoyed this book. The premise was unique and I liked the way the author switched between the two main characters. I will definitely check out other books by this author.
