Ella has been in love with Tyler, her best friend, for as long as she can remember. He knows nothing of her feelings, and she’s determined to keep them secret at all costs.Things change however when one evening, in a moment of weakness, she expresses all her frustrations on a blog. When she realizes the magnitude of the chaos she’s created, it’s already too late; the blog has been shared on most … on most social networks.
As the cherry on the cake, Tyler finds out about the blog, and he’s critical of the content and its author to say the least. But Ella’s troubles have only just begun. Not only is she unable to defend herself, but Tyler sets out to discover the identity of the blog’s author, and he’s not the only one. Going from one surprise to the next, Ella realizes she may not be the only one hiding secrets.
EXCERPT 1
“You should try to have the same kind of fun instead of reading the blog of someone who can’t be upfront about her feelings. I’m sorry, but this person has no respect for herself. If she’s as in love with her friend as she claims, why not just tell him?”
“Who knows? Maybe she’s afraid he doesn’t share her feelings.”
“So what?”
“So, maybe she’s not strong enough to deal with the possible rejection. Maybe she’s afraid of having a broken heart. Maybe she’s afraid of destroying their friendship.”
“Knowing is always better than suffering in uncertainty. And please, since she calls herself an adult, she should accept a possible rejection as part of life.”
EXCERPT 2
I see that Tyler is staring at me, so I ask him, “What? Do I have something on my face?”
“No, but you seem different. Have you met someone?”
“Since yesterday evening? Yes, of course. He was waiting for me in front of my building with a huge bouquet and a ring. I said ‘yes,’ and after an evening of passion, we set a date for the wedding. Hence my radiant complexion.”
“Sarcasm suits you well, but I prefer your sunny side.”
“You know that I went to Peter’s engagement party alone and that I had to face the whole family who thought, ‘The poor girl, she couldn’t even find someone to accompany her to her brother’s engagement party.’ So, don’t rub it in.”
“I offered to be your date.”
“Which would have been a good idea if it was someone else who was engaged, but everyone in my family knows you, and I would have looked even more desperate. And you, of course, you would have been the hero who saved the damsel in distress. No thanks. Just thinking about it makes me cringe.”
“You’re not wrong,” he says with a smile that makes my heart flutter.
“Just to be clear, once and for all, I don’t need anyone to save me and especially not a Prince Charming.”
“Maybe you should.”
“Maybe I should what?”
“Need someone.”

Mixed Feelings
On one hand I liked it, but I’m super frustrated with Tyler for insisting Ella tell him her feelings first. Not cool dude. He teased her about it relentlessly, I wouldn’t have told him either, I don’t know many who would. It was completely unfair of him to be angry with her for not saying something sooner, when he never said it himself. A kiss right before moving to another country for several years doesn’t count. Especially since he never said it, he kissed her, then said he was leaving the country. OF COURSE she pulled away .
I love the cover of Little Secrets Between Friends. It just looks so inviting and the book lives up to its cover. Beware what you write on a blog – it may take over your life! This is a well written romantic comedy with interesting characters and a couple of twists. I really enjoyed the book!

Little Secrets between friends is written by Mary Kelly Reed. This was a cute book and I enjoyed it very much.
Ella Tyler writes a blog post one night after having too many drinks. It had to do with being in love with her best friend and is too shy to let him know. This blog turned out to be the talk of the town by the time she woke up the next morning.
When Tyler finds out about the blog, he gives the person who wrote it all kinds of grief. However, he does not realize it was Ella who wrote it.
This book was fun to read because this couple were meant to be together after loving each other for so long.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a charming, feel good story about two friends discovering that they can have something more than just friendship. Unbeknownst to Tyler, Ella has been in love with him for many years. After an evening of a having a little too much to drink, Ella feels frustrated and vents everything through a blog, and then the unthinkable happens – Tyler finds out about the blog. That’s when the fun begins! Tyler and Ella are so cute together and they have great chemistry. The back and forth bantering between the two is so much fun. The book is a well-written and filled with humor and some twists along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one!

A good rom-com story. Ella and Tyler are having been best friends forever; when Ty kisses another girl at Ella’s brother’s wedding it pushes Ella to drink a little too much and goes home to anonymously blog her feelings for him. So, the back and forth story begins.
There is great chemistry and bantering between Ella and Tyler’s characters. Tyler’s character is swoon worthy.
