‘Little Bird’ is the third book in the Advantage Play series by Kelsie Rae. Just like the previous two books, it contained more drama, more mystery and even more dodgy dealings!
I can’t help but binge read every single one of these books! There’s just something about Mafia romances that lure me in, and the Romano family is no different.
In book two you learn of Regina Romano’s kidnapping, so it isn’t surprising that this book highlights her journey as one of Burlone’s prisoners. She is locked up, held captive, and fears for her life, and as the Romano Princess, she knows her fate is going to be unbearable. But what she doesn’t anticipate is trusting and becoming infatuated with the man responsible for protecting her whilst she is being held hostage… Dec.
Dex is strong, and one of Burlone’s right hand men, but he is starting to doubt the path he has been put on to follow. After years of loyalty, and seeing women snatched and abused, he can’t help but feel disgusted. He knows he’s no saint, but he also knows that he needs to change, that his disposable boss and the women trafficking needs to stop.
Having to put his neck on the line, Dex is determined to ensure Regina’s safety, even if it’s the last thing he does. But little does he know that loving her comes at a price, and is he willing to pay it?
This book was so addictive, I love Regina and you can’t help but root for her HEA. Dex is super alpha, and the way in which he takes care of Regina will have any romance lover swooning.
This book does contain references to abuse and violence, so they are for adult readers. You do not need to have read the previous books in the series to enjoy the story, but in my opinion they help enhance the full story.
An incredible page-turner with characters that draw you in. Perfect for romance lovers, people who enjoy MC and Mafia romances.
She is his prisoner but he has yet to lay a hand on her but he will not allow anyone else touch her. She wants to escape but she can tell that he wants her. She knows her brother will kill him but she is torn. What will happen? Is she falling for him? What will happen? see what will happen

I’ve found another mafia series I can’t seem to get enough of, in Kelsie’s Advantage Play series. I’m given all the dark seediness of a mobster’s business, the drama that pits one family against another, and a hot temptation between two people that aren’t allowed to be. Gimme, gimme more! Plus, with how each book is written, it’s like getting to watch all the hands at the table from each players perspective.
I was left intrigued about how the prisoner, Regina, and the captor, Dex, came to be need each other so desperately at the end of Dark King, that I could hardly wait to get my hands on Little Bird. Not usually involved in the skin side of his boss’ visit, Dex is obsessed with Regina, when he is tasked with watching her. From her capture at the hands of Burlone, till a bloody ending, Regina manages to keep her spirit strong, not letting the fire die inside. Dex won’t allow it. These two’s need for each other will make you cheer them on, pom poms in hand, and the emotional ride they take you on will have you reaching for the tissues. I takes a lot to get me to tear up, and this one? It got me good.
Each book in, takes you deeper into the mafia underworld, and soon you’ll be eager for more of it. Kelsie did an amazing job creating a world of flashing lights, crisp cards, and extravagant proclivities. If you want to get more of this world, definitely make sure that you start with Wild Card, then move onto Dark King, both amazing reads in themselves, before picking up Little Bird. You won’t want the secrets to be revealed before you get to watch the trick. It’ll be worth it.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, action pact, hot and steamy, lust and passion, strength, happiness with a happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

I read this book awhile ago and it has stayed with me. The characters have a life of their own. The story is dark but fascinating. The author has certainly captured my interest with this book and I cannot wait to read more. The suspense, drama, angst, fear (really well done) and smoldering chemistry is captivating.
Omgosh. Little Bird kept you wanting more. I’ve never been a fan of mob family books but Dex and Little Bird stole my heart. I was so engrossed in this amazing story I read it in 1 day. A capture prisoner love story. Just amazing
This book hooked me from the get go I just couldn’t put it down I fell in love with these characters and omg what a story just a perfect

I haven’t read book one ‘Wild Card or book two ‘Dark King’ yet but I read this. Yes this can be read as a standalone as I wasn’t lost at all in the story but afterwards I read the blurbs for book one and two and think it will be best to read in series order.
Like the authors other books I have read I couldn’t put it down. Regina and Dex are fire and I have a feeling Diece and Q will be just as intense.
I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.
Intense, dark, suspenseful romance, Regina, had defied her brother Kingston Romano and it had come back to bite her, she had been taken and Dex the man who had was watching over her had done his best to make sure she was kept safe everything had gone wrong when it became clear exactly what was planned for the girls especially Regina, the only thing is, is DeX a good guy or

A great continuation of where Wild Card/Dark King left off. This is the story of Little Bird aka Regina the little sister of Kingston whom has been kidnapped by a rival mafia family. This is told from the view of the kidnapping and keeps us a bit in the dark as to what is happening in the world of Kingston but still a totally captivating read. I loved getting the over lapping story of Regina and Dex but the author has made me a total addict for the complete mafia family. I can’t wait for more.
Ok so I’m going to say first—read Wild Card and Dark King before you read this! Trust me, you want the back story!
Now, this book was freaking so amazing!!!! Kelsie went from sweet romance to mafia like a BOSS! This book, so far my favorite of the series. The loyalty to his little bird is hands down amazing. This book will steal your breath, it has heart, amazing violence and little amounts of scorching heat.
Five star no doubt mafia romance. Ends with a to be continued and I can’t wait for more from this family!!!
Little Bird is the third book in the Advantage Play Series and is a great mafia romance.
Dex and Little Bird (Regina) are wonderful characters, strong, likable, and have amazing chemistry together. The author has woven this story beautifully within the series and I could not help but be invested in their outcome. There is danger, human trafficking, suspense, passion, betrayal, loyalty, love, and a cliffhanger.
I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
Until this series, all I knew of this author was her sweet romances. Nothing in this book says sweet. It’s dark and dirty. Wild Card and Dark King should be read before this one, as the stories are all connected.
Burlone kidnaps Regina, and she being held with other women in his human trafficking business. Dex looks out for his Little Bird, and they fall in love. He flips, and works out a plan with Kingston to put Burlone out of business and end his life. He proves his loyalty to Kingston as a Romano soldier. But he’s warned to stay away from Regina, that he’s not good enough for her. Doesn’t matter – they’re in love.
What a ride this book is! When Regina started having feelings for Dex, I was concerned that it was Stockholm syndrome. But no – she saw the good in him, the good that’s hiding behind the bad things he has to do. I normally don’t like a cliffhanger unless it’s been disclosed first. However… I’m so glad that this series is continuing.

This series has me biting my nails, yet leaves me wanting more. There’s crime, bad boys, and an ominous shed, but I love when bad men are humanized. I love the idea of finding true love when you aren’t interested, and finding it in the strangest places. You shouldn’t have to change for someone to love you, but sometimes you find someone who makes you want to make the change to be a better person. I love the idea of family first, yet I like the idea of family evolving. There’s something about finding a person you’d risk everything for. A bad boy usually isn’t my thing, but there was something about Dex.
Amazing book. First book by this author I have read but won’t be the last. Loved the characters and storyline. Loved how the author told their story. Enjoyed every page of this book.

Little Bird is book 3 in this series and believe me, you will want to dive into this book ASAP!!!! However, first you must make sure that you read book 1 and 2 so that you understand what is going on and get the full picture of what is going on with all of the different characters.
Written from multiple points of view, the majority are from Regina and Dex’s perspective.
This series does deal with very sensitive dark situations so be warned about that.
This book had me hooked from the moment I started reading. Getting to see the situation from Regina’s point of view was definitely intense. She was kidnapped and set to be sold and this book details what things were like where she was being held.
Get ready to be taken on one heck of a ride as you read. This book will grab ahold of you and not let go until the very last page. And even then you will be dying to find out what could possibly happen next.
A must read book and series for sure!!!

I loved seeing Regina get her story and Dex is just swoon-worthy with his dangerous, protective ways. I about fainted when he decided she was for him. The story is full of twists and dangers and passion but I mostly loved seeing Dex’s loyalty to Regina the entire time.
This was a perfect addition to the series! I was so glad to see Gina and Dex’s story that could have so easily been tragic tale become a love story to rise above so many others. I can’t wait to see more of them in a book that will hopefully have a story with Q and Diece.
I love love love Kelsie’s books so much and to say that I’m now obsessed with her mafia series would be an understatement! These men and women are consuming my thoughts all day long!
I knew Regina’s story would be intense and things would happen that would shock me but oh my goodness Batman!!! INTENSE!! I think I have a favorite male character so far except I’m still upset about his treatment to Ace. Dex is different than I imagined and I think that whole heartily is because of Regina! So many things come to light during this book but I’m also left with more unknowns too. I think I know all of what went down and what’s going down and then, BAM, roadblock!
I really love that you not only get the 2 leads stories but you also get to get in the head of connecting characters!! I’m so ready to find out more and keep reading! Always staying up WAY past bedtime, just to read one more chapter!!
The Advantage Play Series just gets better with each new book and it doesn’t even need sizzling scenes!
Regina has been kidnapped by the notorious Burlone to get revenge on her brother Kingston.
Dex will anything he can to protect his Little Bird even if it means he has to go against Burlone. He doesn’t know who Little Bird really is.
Once Regina is safe at home Kingston gives Dex an order. If he disobeys it will cost him his life.
Someone is searching for Q but why?
What kind of mess has Federal Agent Jack gotten himself into that he needs Kingston help?
Absolutely love this series!! Soooo addicting!!
Next Bitter Queen!!
