Not all the best decisions in life come from making logical choices. Going off the path most chosen sometimes brings you to where you were always meant to be.Josephine Holland doesn’t veer from the path of least resistance. She may appear fragile like a pixie, but Josephine takes control like a dictator with a Napoleon Complex. An awful ex-boyfriend has left her with a sour taste for any future … future relationships. Josephine wipes the slate clean for a fresh start in Fort Collins, Colorado. With no time for nonsense, Josephine busies herself with her start-up design company and hopes for the best.
Maceo Tabares, a man who oozes trouble, is only interested in no-strings-attached hookups. The former Navy SEAL’s life is dangerous, and a target is always on his back. A relationship would only complicate things. Tired of the vagabond lifestyle, he chooses Fort Collins as his headquarters for his crew, with plans of expanding his security company. Maceo longs for stability, but having an old lady to share his life with is not in the cards.
So when a chance encounter on a hiking trail has these two conflicting characters running into each other—literally—neither one is interested in anything beyond a stolen moment. What neither of them expected was for a spark to form after that single encounter—a spark that would burn down their defensive walls and throw their clear-cut paths into unfamiliar territory.
Josephine’s reaction is to flee while Maceo’s is to pursue.
Josephine has no intentions of seeing Maceo again, but fate intervenes. When she meets her new client, Atlas, President of the Mercy Ravens MC, she comes face-to-face with Maceo, and all bets are off.
When a potential stalker puts Josephine in danger, Maceo will stop at nothing to protect the woman who has consumed his life. Several hurdles must be cleared for them to have a fighting chance, but will their love be enough fight off all those that want to to do them harm? Will love conquer all for these two headstrong lovers?
Lips On My Heart is the first book in the Mercy Ravens MC series.

Lips on My Heart kept me engrossed from start to finish! How Maceo and Josephine met the first time was sooooo memorable and hot, plus their second encounter was fun for the reader too. The H and h had such amazing chemistry and banter and after Maceo made a pretty big error in how he treated Jo and she put him in check, their romance singed page after page.
I loved the action and humor in this book, Maceo’s MC brothers, Josephine’s dog Hades, and how Maceo and Josephine were fierce and true to themselves!!! I can’t wait to see what’s in store next for Maceo & Josephine, Gauge & Opal and the rest of the members of Mercy Ravens MC!!!!
(Some spoilers)If you love MC romances with a strong female lead, then you will love this page-turner. I love MC romances and this one stood out compared to the ones I typically read. Most MC novels involve overbearing jackwagons trying to lay claim on a woman like she’s a piece of property. This was the first MC romance I read where the female didn’t give in just because the male told her to–it really is her choice and she doesn’t make it easy. Lips on my Heart is a mashup between alpha-male/military/contemporary/suspense/rom-con. The heroine, Josephine (Jo) Holland, is a career-driven woman who isn’t afraid of anyone, speaks her mind, and succeeds in a male-dominated industry. She meets the main male lead (Atlas/Maceo) right away, and it’s instant lust/chemistry smoking off the pages. He is instantly smitten with her and pretty much tries to claim her as his old lady immediately (gotta love those alpha males), but she has her hang-ups over a past relationship and basically blows him off. Fate intervenes when she goes to meet her next client who happens to be Atlas. Now that he knows who she is, he’s more determined to win her over and he goes about it in all the wrong ways. Because of who he is and what he does for a living (president of MC/runs a security company/has lots of enemies/ retired Navy SEAL), he sets up security tracking on her without her permission as a means of protecting her from his enemies who may target her to get to him. This is the cause of major drama in their early relationship. I don’t want to give too much away, but the author worked this scenario to believable standards. As the story progresses, Jo becomes very aware to the dangers that surround Atlas and his life, but she brings her own dangers to the relationship. The characters evolve together throughout the story, to the point you see their love and not just the their lust. This becomes very obvious in the last few chapters of the book. There were plenty of angsty-feels with this novel, as well as suspense, comedy, and lots of oh la la. If you love bedroom details, this book has it in spades. I know some readers don’t like sexual details, but being a visual person, I absolutely loved it. I’m following the author on her other social media accounts and it looks like book 2 will be out by late summer/early fall. For her first book, I think she did an amazing job. I’m excited this is a series since I’m already invested in the H/h.
I’m a dude who doesn’t read romance of any kind, but I saw this on my wife’s kindle and the cover grabbed my attention (HOT!). I decided to read the synopsis and was intrigued enough to give it a shot. Oh man, I’m happy I did. Romance aside, this book had suspense, comedy, And angst. And the sex scenes — worth it! Totally worth it. This book has turned me towards an entirely different genre of books I never would have considered, but if they’re all like this then I’m a converter. The sex scenes were so hot, I ended up reading them to my wife. I strongly encourage all men to do this with their partner, you won’t be disappointed, trust me. I liked the male lead a lot. The dude was relatable from a male’s perspective. The main female character seemed like a real pill, but definitely one the main male wanted to swallow. Loved the chemistry, loved the suspense and twists. Excited for the author to come out with book 2.
I read a ton of romance but this was the first book I really wanted to leave a review for. It’s a great mashup between alpha male/retired Navy SEAL/current MC President Maceo Tabares and the cute sprite-like/strong-willed/no time for BS Josephine Holland. The chemistry was off the charts and the characters were so relatable and flawed. The storyline kept me engaged through the whole read. The steamy scenes…woowee! Let’s just say really good. There was a great balance between suspense, romance, and comedy. I’m a quick reader and I finished this book within a day and now I’m mad with myself for reading it so fast because the second book isn’t out until later this summer according to the authors Facebook page. I need to know what happens with these two characters in book 2 especially with Jo’s parents coming back into the picture. Love it!
The dog it it for me .. she’s sass and he loves it. As president of Mercy Ravens. He gets women left to right. So when she walks away and tell him no. He don’t back down from a challenge. She welcomes the brother of Mercy Raven mc.
I saw this book recommended on tiktok and decided to give it a go. I truly enjoyed the storyline. Jo was feisty and head strong, but still had her vulnerable moments. Atlas wasn’t your average biker, ex seal and security company owner. He and his men looked after their own and brought the bad guys to order. There were a few hilarious moments in this book, when jo and or atlas would go crazy on each other, making for an in depth relationship when we also got to read of the tears and trauma they both faced. Great read. Cant wait to start book 2.
