You know things are bad on Earth when you’re the president’s daughter and becoming a concubine to an alien dragon shifter seems like your best option… making the relationship real.
Prince T’mar has no wish to consort with a human. Unfortunately, his father, the king, decrees he must accept her, his dragon mistakes her for their mate, and worse, the flame-haired female stirs his desires. Still, he intends to deposit her at the palace and fly away.
But when powers on Earth draw them into the line of fire, will their unexpected, unwanted burning attraction be the one thing that can save them?

I liked the multifaceted story line and unexpected turns. There were intriguing revelations that carried over from the first book and continuing potential for the next in series. I was a great read.
So much intrigue!
What an exciting story! You may need to reread parts to get the nuances. So much is happening, and Jackson Biggs has a very convoluted way of getting what he wants. Now there is a character far too easy to abhor.
I love watching T’mar and his dragon in action. They rarely agree on anything (at first). They add a delightful touch of humor to the book. Helena accepts her attraction to T’mar far sooner than he does. Stubborn guy! They are a great couple, once they finally figure things out. A sweet romance, along with edge-of-your-seat action!
There are a multitude of characters that present fascinating possibilities. We won’t find out more until the next story. I really don’t want to wait!
Cara Bristol has another good book. Dragon shifters, crooked politicians, and century-old secrets keep the action going. Very hard to put down.
This is the 2nd book in the series and quite a read. The author had me fooled about some things but, I was glad of the way it progressed. I guessed correctly who the bad guy was. However, the suspense doesn’t stop there. All in all you learn to never anger a dragon priestess. Can’t wait for the next book to come out!
This is a story about danger, deceit, and ultimately love. With the distrust between Earth and Draco, Helena, the President’s daughter, travels to Draco to become the concubine of T’mar who is the eldest son of King K’rah. T’mar has already decided he doesn’t trust any human and wants nothing to do with Helena but his dragon has other ideas. Add in an evil advisor to the President and his minions plus some hateful dragons, and Helena barely escapes with her life. It doesn’t take T’mar too long before he agrees with his dragon and saves his mate Helena.
Cara does a fabulous job of building an elaborate world for her characters to live in. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Loved it, you get caught up in the story. You want to be right there in the story. It makes you wish they existed and hope for a chance to meet people like them.
I liked it! I liked that the heroine had to figure out stuff rather than have her just know somehow, it made for a more realistic read. The author didn’t go overboard on the sex so it didn’t get boring. Glad to see the author knew a little goes a long way. I like a hot sex scene as well as the next person but after the first two or three unless the author is REALLY imaginative it gets old. I will likely read the next book when it comes out.
Book 2 in an alien fated mates series. Worth the read.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

Book two in the Alien Dragon Shifters series a well written story that kept me turning pages. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The second story in this series was just as good as the first book “Under Fyre”. This book is about Earth’s president’s daughter, Helena and Prince T’mar. With the unrest between the Dragonians and the humans, like his younger brother Prince K’ev, Prince T’Mar wanted nothing to do with a human consort when told by his father King K’rah. Meanwhile Helena has escaped to Elementa with two former employees of the administrative staff, Patsy and Henry. When a convoy with Prince T’Mar arrives to take her to Draco, his dragon proclaims her as his mate. This has Prince T’mar fighting with his dragon side during their journey which is a delight to read. When they arrive on Draco, Helena feels sorry for duping her friend Rhianna and Rhianna is angry at her and then there is the overbearing Bigg’s, her father’s advisor who is creating havoc on Earth. Can a peaceful solution between them be achieved? Will the romance between Helena and Prince T’Mar remain strong or will outside forces tear them apart? I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Booksprout.
Helena Marshfield father’s presidential advisor, Biggs, puts her in a bad situation. King K’rah wants a concubine for his eldest son, Draconian Prince T’mar, who is not happy about the situation, in order to avoid a dragon attack against the United States. Despite his complaints, his father says he must accept her. Will President Marshfield make her keep this commitment? Will Prince T’mar follow through with the agreement but dump her in his harem to be forgotten? Or will he instead push her away? And what happens if they both find out it’s not such a bad deal after all?
Grab your copy and see what the future holds in this political arena of bargaining! After all, Prince T’mar’s dragon can’t be right – this woman can’t really be his mate!
OMG, I loved it! While I haven’t read the first in the series, I had no no problem following the story line. Full of adventure and intrigue and danger, this reminded me of a movie. Helena is intelligent, duty-driven, loyal, and feisty. Prince T’mar is strong, possessive, abrupt, and surprisingly captivated by Helena in spite of himself. I loved the vivid descriptions, the difference in their cultures, and all the thought that went into creating this universe! I’m definitely going back to read book 1, and am really looking forward to reading book 3!

This is a great addition to this series. Helena is being manipulated by the advisor to her father, the President. She thinks she is making her own decisions but Biggs is really in control. I enjoyed the twists and turns in this story. Most of them came as a surprise and that is always good in a story. The ending was good even if it frustrated me a bit. An enjoyable read all the way around.
Outstanding Romance…

This is the first book by Cara Bristol I’ve had the pleasure of reading an oh wow absolutely exhilarating and quite intriguing.
The moment Prince T’mar meets Helena there’s an undeniable attraction between them that’s on the verge of exploding.
But the biggest thing is Prince T’mar really should pay better attention to what his dragon has to say.

A wonderfully suspense-filled, sci-fi romance with a heavy splash of humor
I happily had a chance to go back to the World of Dragon Princes and their Mates in this latest addition to the “Under Fyre” Series. In this novel, we follow the journey of Earth President’s daughter, Helena, and the World of Draco Prince, T’mar, to their HEA. As normal, Ms Cara Bristol delivers a wonderfully suspense-filled, sci-fi romance with a heavy splash of humor. The internal dialogs between T’mar and his dragon are HILARIOUS! I’m loving this series!
I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
YOU’RE MY MATE—YOU’RE THE ONE I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR
The story is a continuation after Under Fyre, and now King K’rah has demanded another tribute, a concubine for his eldest son, Prince T’mar. It has become an issue between Draco and Earth over Elementa, and the threat of a dragon attack against the United States needs a peace agreement, but will President Marshfield agree? Rhianna was sent and became the mate to Prince K’ev, and this story will be Helena Marshfield and Prince T’mar. I love the communication and arguing between T’mar and his dragon.
The story will begin with problems within the underground bunkers housing top officials of the government. Helena, daughter to President Marshfield, has her own plan—part to help the country, and another to get away from Bigg’s, her father’s advisor. If she can escape and board the next shuttle to Elementa, maybe she can prevent an attack.
“So when they find out we didn’t accede to their request, we could be back where we started—expecting an attack.”
“Unless somebody arrives on Elementa, I fear that will be the case.”
Not only will Helena leave, but so will two former employees of the administrative staff, Patsy and Henry, who will also have documentation and clothing for Helena. Even after their arrival on Elementa, waiting for the envoy from Draco, they devise a plan for the three to stay together. As they sail to Draco, T’mar will be fighting with his dragon, who insists that Helena is their mate, their chosen one. How will he feel when he discovers he has a desire for her? Can he just have her and get her out of his system and have her join his harem?
“We are one, and we are two. Two consciousnesses sharing a single fyre and one body that can assume different forms.”
Back on Draco, Rhianna will learn news from the Priestess. She isn’t happy with Helena, and still holds resentment for her betrayal, even though she loves K’ev. There are issues with King K’rah and his feelings on humans, but he also respects O’ne, the Priestess. The relationship and mating between Rhianna and Prince K’ev are strong. While this story does bring in several people from the first book, the story is mostly about Helena and T’mar. More will come out about the fyre in the dragons, about finding their mates, and about the deceit of others. It will have the good, the bad, and the evil of individuals, both humans, and Draconians.
“Fyre, territory, treasure. Dragons valued those three things in that order. Fyre was life, territory brought security, and treasure conferred wealth. With all three, you had power. Her stench infiltrating everything; the human had trespassed.” –A’riel
The story has plenty of mystery, suspense, betrayal, lies, secrets, and angst. The time together between T’mar and Helena brings them closer, especially with his dragon screaming that she is their mate, they must protect her. T’mar hasn’t had a desire for any of his concubines, but there is something about Helena that entices him, and she is attracted to him. There is a challenging chemistry of lust and desire fought with questioning why they would want each other. The only one who seems to know and push it is T’mar’s dragon.
“Beauty came in many forms, shapes, and sizes. He’d been waiting for her. She filled him with contentment when they were together and longing when they were apart.”
“Is that your dragon? Oh my god, I can hear you both! Helena exclaimed. He’s a bit of a voyeur and a nag, isn’t he?”
“In mating with a dragon and merging fyres, your flame has become stronger and brighter, and you will live the life of a dragon. Prince T’mar is right. Sleep, my child. Your fyre burns. You will live a dragon’s life, but your human side will require tending. I’ll leave you now.” –O’ne
Trouble still is in the works, back on Earth, Biggs is controlling things, and on Draco, not everyone is happy about T’mar and Helena. But for now, these two have found each other, discovered more about Helena, and are ready to tackle new issues head-on. As this story ends, it isn’t a cliffhanger, but a segue into what will be a third book, which will be full of danger. I still think the dragons will win against evil.
“Perhaps not all surprises were good ones.”
“She filled his head, and his senses stirred his desire and his fyre. Mine. My mate, mine. My dragoness. My human.”
I liked a lot ‘Line of Fyre’ as well as the previous book ‘Under Fyre’.
Helena is a brave woman that is willing to put in danger her life to save others. She knows that Earth is in danger and that Draconians a fearsome alien race. However, she willingly agree to be the consort of Draco’s king first heir. Princes T’mar despise humans and can’t understand why his father wants him to have this human female. They are both going to have a good surprise ‘cause any of them is what the other had in mind,
Good plot and great characters. This story is steamy, entertaining, funny and full of great moments.
