Wolves? Check. Magically floating books? Check. A bloody mystery years in the making? …uh, check? All Addie ever wanted was a normal life—to graduate college and get a good job so she can support her fortune-telling, tarot-card-reading mother. Her plans are shot to heck when she finds out her mother has been keeping a very important secret from her.As in, Addie is a shifter. A wolf shifter. And … shifter. A wolf shifter. And not only that, but she’s special because female shifters are rare, prized in most packs. Unique because shifters as a whole are a dying race, and it’s up to females like her to further their kind.
Thrown into pack life, Addie knows she’ll be able to walk away from it anytime she wants, which is what her mother did twenty years ago, but after meeting the pack—more specifically the wolves she’s supposed to mate with—things get complicated. Maze, Dylan, and Landon. Three very different shifters, yet each one of them stirs Addie’s inner wolf.
When one of her intended mates goes missing, Addie realizes the pack is caught up in something dark and sinister. Someone or something is hunting the wolves, taking them one by one. Death is not the only thing to fear in Crystal Lake…
Limitless is the first in a magical, action-packed shifter trilogy, where the heroine will not have to choose between love interests. This is a slow-burn, new adult why choose novel.

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review***
I have recently become a huge fan of Candace Wondrak’s books! I came across her books from a friends suggestion and fell in love with her writing. This is a new series she started and I am happy so far!
Addie knew nothing about being a wolf shifter and this world was completely new to her. She was trying to get accustom to pack life and then she was thrown a curve ball with 3 men who she is supposed to be mated to. However, I think she also might have another man in the mix. There is some major chemistry between the packs alpha and Addie!
I am really looking forward to the next book in the series!
My new favorite wolf shifter series
Unequivocally the best wolf shifter book I’ve read in quite some time. I was sucked in by the character building as well as the world constructed around the Crystal Lake Pack. An absolute must read!
I loved this first book on the series! Addie is a strong female main character. She is confused but confident right from the start. I’m not a fan of her grandfather Henry though. Her moms a strong shifter and Addie figures out there’s so much she doesn’t know. I admit that so far, Jeffrey is my favorite with Maze being second. I hope you pick it up!
There are so many decisions for Addie when she is thrown into a new world, for her. This book has amazing world building and character development. The characters are likable and your will want to get to know them more. This is a great slow burn RH romance. I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
I love shifter books and I love reverse harem books. This was the best of both worlds. Addie is a strong character that doesn’t back down. The guys were oh so yummy. The world the story is set in is interesting. I look forward to learning more about it. The romance is a slow burn. It doesn’t really end on a cliffhanger, just with unanswered questions. I look forward to the next book in the series.
Limitless follows Addie as she learns that not everything is as it seems, including herself. When her grandfather makes a sudden appearance in her life, things change dramatically. But are they for the better or worse?
I’ve read quite a few of this author’s book and this is my favorite of hers so far. I enjoyed the characters, although some we don’t get to see much of in book one.
There is a good amount of world building, as is the norm in the first books in a series. I didn’t feel that it was overly done.
Overall, I would recommend this book. I look forward to seeing where it goes next.
Sometimes things happen you can’t explain. Like flying books. However she was accused of attacking her teacher. Thrown out she goes back to live with her mom. She has to make herself scarce sometimes but this time she does come home to find a wolf in the house along with an older man. She finds out he is her grandfather and the wolf, he turns out to be man as well. Magic, werewolves, what’s next? Very well written and highly recommend to read this
I have read a few of Candace’s work and have enjoyed her books so I was looking forward to reading this and I wasn’t disappointed. This one is probably my favorite of all of her books.
The only thing that bugged me was the inner monologues. I found them to be a bit long sometimes.
Also this is a slow burn kinda of book and I have a feeling the story will get really interesting in the next book. And I’m really excited to learn more about Jack.
