Lillith wakes in a whole new world & she can’t figure out why but even more confusing, she’s married. Twists and turns later Lillith finds herself back in a Divinity medical facility trying to clear her name and save Soren. Divinity Corporation has some explaining to do when Lillith gets done.
OMG! This story makes me want to volunteer for the Divinity Warriors program. Sexy Sorin chooses Lilith as his wife although he had no intention to chose a wife at the ceremony. Lilith had no idea why or what happened to her when she somehow landed in a medieval castle and some brutish, sexy male chose her for his wife. She quickly falls for him and is not sure what to do-either stay or go back to Divinity through the portal. She finally goes through the portal but only to get a medical device to save her husband. He follows her. They go back to the castle together and their love is never stronger.
I first read this book back in 2015 but I thought it was time for a re-read and some how I missed the review the first time so I hope this makes up for it!
Possible SPOILERS
Lilith awoke in a cell on a barbarian dimension to be basically a whore but if you’re luck or unlucky depending on how you look at it you might be chosen like Lilith to be a wife. Lilith doesn’t understand this place or it’s customs but she is trying to learn as she goes.
Sorin didn’t want another wife after the disaster of the last one but there is just something about Lilith he can’t resist and after learning more about her, they have more of an understanding.
When Lord Sorin is injured badly in battle Lilith will do whatever it takes to fix him even if that means using the forbidden portal!
Loved the book, however, a little disappointed on the war scene and end left me a little unsatisfied. Overall still looking to see what the next book brings, sometimes the first is slow and second more seasoned. Thanks.
If you like books that transport you to unusual cultures with hot alpha men, this book will entertain you. Time traveling heroine ends up in a culture where the men are all he-men and a sassy woman has to figure out her own happy ending.
a different take on the alien bride story. The usual cultural misunderstandings abound. The me Tarzan, you Jane posturing is also going on.not too bad with the world building, but more than enough for personal imigination to take over. Overall, a good read.
fun read
I enjoyed the characters and the clever ‘Stargate’ universe set up.
I really enjoyed this book. Lots of action, romance, betrayal, misunderstandings, and a great ending.
Lilith is an analyst for Divinity and regularly travels between dimensions and accrues knowledge and data. On her last mission she was accused of a crime she did not commit. She returns to her apartment and awakes… in a cage on a medieval world!!!!
To the warriors of Starian, loyalty and honour are everything. They are in an ongoing war with the Caniba. They are Alphas to the core and they only know duty. There are few females in the realm and they are forced to begin trading with Divinity.
Sold against her will with other females that Divinity had problems with, she is claimed by Lord Sorin and hurled into a marriage by claiming. She is struggling to fight her attraction to the man and her repulsion of all things barbarian and her plight at being here against her will.
Sorin is the perfect Alpha male. He is strong, a fearless leader in battle, but war is all he knows. His first wife was a ightmare and this has put him off claiming another. With Lilith, he claimed her as a total compulsion. There develops an interesting tug of love internally for Lilith, she loves the man but does not want to be forced into a marriage she had no choice in.
Lilith is a bit whiny at times but who wouldn’t be when thrust into another world and married off against your will!!! Sorin is great as the physically strong but emotionally scarred warrior.
The love scenes are steamy and there is a wonderful mixing of genres that gives the reader very unique worlds to explore. I’m off to get the next book in the series!
