You know those stories – where guy meets girl, they fall for each other, life does its best to tear them apart, but in the end, love conquers all and they embark on their life together? Yeah? Well, this isn’t one of those stories. This is more like some old country song. A song about a man and a woman who’ve already lived through great highs and lows. A man and a woman who’ve reached their … their fifties and who, despite humble beginnings have achieved great things in different ways.
He’s had an amazing career as one of country music’s biggest names. She’s raised a daughter and given her everything she needed to go out and succeed in the world.
They’ve both given their all to their chosen path in life, and when those paths cross, two lonely hearts finally see their chance at true happiness.
It’s hardly a spoiler to say that an old country song might end with the sun setting over two rocking chairs on a front porch. You’ll have to pick up your copy of this heart-warming romance today to find out if Marianne and Clay’s story ends that way.
This book is intended for readers aged 18+

Somewhat predictable, but not a bad read.
Loved the story about the mature couple. Highly recommend. I really enjoyed reading this!
Entertaining
Nice hat they were older.
unbelievable; gave up after a few chapters
nice change for my age group
I enjoyed reading this book!
Loved this book. Glad someone is finally writing a series about mature couples. The characters were engaging and likable and dare I say “hot”. Refreshing that someone recognizes that just because you turn 50 you’re not dead and still experience the same emotions as younger people, including interest in sex. I definitely plan on reading more books in this series.
Loved this book and the characters within. A good read!
A nice little book. I’d buy it again.
So nice to have a happily ever after for someone who is older. Enjoyed this one so much I read the next one with Chris and Seymour. Thank you.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’m on to book 2!
It was a nice change of pace to see a couple who were older and knew exactly what they wanted. Sometimes people forget that it is not only 20 years old who fall in love and get their happily ever after.
Couldn’t finish it. I kept waiting for a story that never happened. The interactions between the main characters are not believable.
Feel good, never too late
I liked that love comes o people at any age.
I love these characters! I was rooting for Marianne and Clay all the way. It’s wonderful to see more mature characters written realistically and still being Sexy. Keep doing what you’re doing. Can’t wait for the next one in the series!
He saw her from across the room. He knew she was his happy ever after. Now he just had to make her see it too. He knew anything worth having was worth working for. Marianne certainly was
Loved this book
McCoy you are missing out. Character development is fantastic and always recurring characters from other series so you always stay connected to my Summer Lake, Remington Ranch, The Davenports and The Hamiltons. This is a new series about the older set or seasoned set of characters. Clay and Marianne met in the Wedding Flight when her daughter Laura’s bachelorette party. The chemistry was immediate and off the charts. Marianne shyed away from Clay not believing the connection could be real because Clay was so good looking and a country superstar. The meet up a year later the sparks still fly and there families try to institute a new connection. The both deserve the happily ever after they never had. Another great story SJ.
