I love Dean Koontz’s novels and this was no exception!
This is typical Dean Koontz, (and I’ve read most all of his books). Hard to describe, but he has good character development and it involves time-travel. It pulls the reader in several different ways and ya gotta keep up! Keeps you on the edge of your seat as you wonder where the story is taking you?! Can’t say enough good things about it – it’s that good!
This is one of my favorite books my this author. The books is fast and haunting It is filled to the brim with horror and excitement. hard to put this book down and when you do you try to continue reading it as soon as possible.
Dean Koontz is a wonderful writer. The main characters are brave and courageous and they save the world as usual in this book.
One of my favorite Dean Koontz novels to this day.
This was a fast, fun adventure. Koontz writes with a crisp style that is very easy to read. The plot zips along from one crisis to the next. I think I expected more “horror” and less “science fiction” because I think of Koontz as a “horror” author. It had its share of tension and scares (and there were some elements of horror in the first half) but to me this was a straightforward SF story. Ok, not completely straightforward – there were a couple of surprising twists as the story progressed. Not all the twists are scary but I thats all I can say because I don’t want to create any “spoilers”. Not a particularly thought provoking story, but definitely entertaining. Recommended.
Dean Koontz at his best. An original and interesting story involving life, love, and time travel.
Dean Koontz is a master at allowing you to feel close to his characters.
Always hooks me from page one.
Loved!!
This is one of Koontz’s early books but it is my favorite. It starts off with a spooky snowy lightening storm and the birth of a baby girl. As she grows up she is watched over by a stranger who plays a big part in her future. I was caught off guard by the science fiction twist in the plot though I knew there would be one. It is action packed and hard to put down.
I read this book when I was young for the first time. I was hooked on Dean Koontz from then on.
Really nicely written and fast moving. Much better than his newer books whicheck tend to waffle more.
Another GREAT Koontz novel!!! Highly recommend you read this one!
Too much gruesome distorted violence for me to wish to continue reading it.
This was the first Dean Koontz book I ever read, and one of my favorites. This page-turning thriller made me a life-long fan of Koontz. If you’re looking for something that will keep you up late at night because you can’t put it down, try this one out. 🙂
Well written, holds your attention.
