** spoiler alert ** I should have known from the scifi category that this was time travel and stayed away from it. The illogical time loops and resultant paradoxes that resolve key plot points drive me nuts. At least the story had an exciting main plot with only limited reliance on time travel and interesting twists. For my taste, way too many unneeded scenes that slowed down the plot, though.
For those who’ve read the spoilers this far, you can start the book at chapter 2 of part three without much loss. The real excitement starts there. Much of the earlier parts is recapped in more unneeded scenes, but you won’t have to read them twice.
One of the best Mr. Koontz has written. Time travel in this world makes sense, and with the Nazis having access to it, well, puts a new horror spin to things.
Fabulous book. Gets you on the first page. Then hang on. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.
I love all of Dean Koontz’s books but this one is one of my favorites. I like the atmosphere of the book and how the lightning is used to signal something coming. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to give anything away ahead of time.
This is one of my favorite. I have read it twice It’s still fun to read again
As always , Dean Koontz delivers. Great book!
I have always enjoyed Koontz’s books and I think this is one of his best.
This is one of my favorite books. Read this years ago at a friend’s recommendation and just loved the story. Could not put the book down. When I saw this offered on BookBub, I jumped at the chance to download and read it again.
I enjoyed this book immensely. Dean Koontz never fails to create something different and amazing.
Anything by Dean Koontz is worth picking up and at least giving a try. What I like most about his stories is they usually end happily unlike some other ‘horror’ authors I could name. His main characters are sympathetic are you can really root for them to come out on top.
It is one of my top two Koontz favorites.
I usually drink up Dean Koontz novels. For some reason, I was bored reading this and never finished it! Very disappointing!
Great book. Love the writing and idea
This is one of my favorite Dean Koontz books and one I keep re-reading. It makes you stop and think.
