It’s been twenty years since I read this book for the first time, but the story made such an impact on me that I still think about it to this day. Well worth the read, and one of my favorite books of all time.
In Dean Koontz’s Lightning, Protagonist Laura Shane is born during a lightning strike. Give the age of the book, released almost twenty years ago, some of the technology is obviously dated but that doesn’t detract from the story. There’s time travel involved which I was not prepared for but it works. Laura is orphaned but is always saved from disasters and bad guys, including WWII Nazis, by her guardian who continues to arrive just in time.
As with all Dean Koontz books, this was excellent.
Best time travel story out there.
My favorite Koontz book.
Koontz is eerie and excellent in his writing. It’s worth the investment
I like the historical aspect of this book, there was action and suspense…and I liked thinking outside of the box with the story. I recommend this book often because it can lead to some really great discussions.
Read this years ago and then added it to my Kindle to read again. It didn’t hold up too badly. Still one of Koontz’s best novels.
Sci-Fi and just plain awesome story!
Everything Dean Koontz writes is interesting. I’m a big fan of his writing.
Loved this book!
I have not found a Dean Koontz book yet that I did not like.
Loved it
My favorite by this author
In my top 3 favorite books and I’ve been reading for 65 years. Koontz at his best. Strong female character that is neither broken or bitchy. Take you there descriptions, plot twists, and the secondary characters are as defined and interesting as the protagonist/antagonist.
My first Koontz book, LOVED IT
Thought provoke as is all of Dean Koontz books
Great Book by a Great Author
This was my very first Dean Koontz read and I think it’s one of his finest. The story sucks you in and holds you to the very end, I just couldn’t put it down. A classic.
Very interesting and entertaining. One of the most memorable books I have read.
Kuntz is always a fun read.
