I always look forward to a new Ginny Sterling book. I know I will have well developed characters, an interesting story line, will laugh out loud, may rant a bit and cry a bit, but mainly I will be entertained. This book did not disappoint. I can’t wait for George’s story to come out.
Just started reading this series. Love HEA historical romance and this book will not disappoint.
Katherine (Katie) Cornell-Madison sets out to begin again in a new town. Belle, Wyoming. Her sister moved there a while back with her husband. Katherine’s husbands brother. Katherine was married 2 months, in name only, when her husband passed away, leaving her with everything including a brother in law that was a drunk. She sells the home, giving him a stipend from the sale and gives him warning to quit drinking and get his life together before he ends up beside his brother.
Enter Jeremy Bryant, a man who is not wealthy, but yet is enigmatic and determined to win the lovely young woman dressed in the crape of mourning. She is equally determined he will not win her, yet something seems to be drawing them together. Can she climb out of her mourning, become a vibrant woman again and learn to love? Seeing her sisters happiness with her new husband and new daughter, she feels a loss deep in her soul.
The reappearance of her Brother in law, now devoid of alcohol unnerves her greatly and prompts Jeremy to speed up his intentions. What will Katie do? How can she move past her past and into a bright future? Will lightening indeed strike twice and allow Katie to feel the magic of Love?
Ginny Sterling writes characters that are filled with emotion and bring you to heights. They leave you wanting more. This story brought me joy and happiness. I highly recommend it.
I received an ARC of this book and am choosing to leave an honest review.
A beautiful book about second chances. I enjoyed the characters so much, especially Jeremy. A women wanting to be loved, a man who is given a second chance at life. One finds love the other finds himself starting over with family. I really loved this story and I’m looking forward to Ginny Sterlings next book in this series!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
The reason I liked this story so much was because the hero, Jeremy, is smitten the first time he meets Katherine and pursues her relentlessly! That doesn’t happen often in stories! Usually there’s a lot of “hidden” attraction and then it’s declared at the end! Not so with this one! Jeremy tells Katherine right off the bat that he’s going to win her affections and then sets out to do it! Katherine is flattered, of course, but she’s a recent widow although her husband was not someone she loved so that put a whole new spin on things! She’s just not ready to let someone direct her life again. I loved the spunky Katherine but also enjoyed the fun, spontaneous Jeremy! A fun, sweet book that will lift your spirits!
Katherine has always done what was expected from her. But now she has the chance to choose her own future when she arrives in Belle. The moment Jeremy meets Katherine he’s smitten and totally not shy about it. But she’s scared, she needs space to build her own life. Will Jeremy be patience to give her that space? Can he be patience when someone from her past shows up?
I really enjoyed this short story with very lovable characters.
I received this book from the author and provide voluntarily this honest review.
