The is the first book in the Crystal Shores series. Meet Sarah, Eddie and his daughter, Kelsey. The past is exactly that, the past. However, for Sarah and Eddie their pasts have followed them into their present and it’s even been given the power to control their future. This story is how these two characters attempt to break that cycle and move forward in their present to create a whole new future. An emotional story that is heart warming to see the characters grow and steamy as they figure out their attraction. I cannot wait to continue this series. Enjoy!

Wow! I was not expecting this story to be so emotional. Sarah with an h, has lead a very hard life, leaving her with poor self-esteem and severe trust issues. She has been let down by those who should have cherished her most. Eddie is a man still coping with the death of his wife, trying to raise his 4 year old daughter on his own. He cannot imagine a life where he could love again. But these two need each other in ways they cannot imagine when they first meet. This story takes place over the span of months, not days and weeks, as Eddie and Sarah help to heal each others broken hearts. I really enjoyed this sweet, sensitive story.

This just lit my life. I love a single dad romance or single parent romance in general and here we have Eddie with his daughter Kelsey trying to move on with his life. In comes Sarah and the sparks fly and she forms an instant connection with him and Kelsey. She has her own issues though and it was sweet reading how they both had to learn to trust each other.

How can two people who have struggles that prevents them from truly living help each other? That question is answered in this heart warming story about strength, struggles, and second chances. Eddie is a widowed, single father raising his daughter, Kelsey. Sarah is afraid of men (no spoilers) but she isn’t afraid of Eddie. This is the first book in the series. If they are all like this one, then you are going to need some Kleenexes. There are times while reading this book, you will find yourself crying, laughing, rooting for both of them to finally get their HEA after everything they had been through.

This story pulls you in from the first page and keeps you interested until the end! Sarah has been running from her past for the past few years, but when she meets Kelsey and her dad, Eddie, she slowly learns to trust. Eddie lost his wife about 10 months ago and has resigned himself to being a single dad, but Sarah does something to him. Loved this story and can’t wait for the next in this series.

Eddie has been having a difficult time in dealing with the loss of his wife. Sarah has had a bad home life and is afraid of most men because of her father’s treatment of her. Yet Eddie finds himself inexplicably drawn to Sarah when they meet. It seems that each of them make it easier for the other to deal with the painful past. Are they meant to be together? Can the goodness in each heal the pain of the other? Or will Sarah’s fear drive her away?
This was a good book with a story line that fills the reader with feelings for the two main characters who really do need comfort and love in their lives. Can they find it in each other? Will they take a chance on love?
From Broken to Loved! This story was everywhere for me. This is about Sarah, Eddie and Kelsey. She is running away from an ugly past that has haunted her from all men. Eddie and Kelsey are trying to recover from a heartbreaking loss. I loved that this story was surrounded with hope, healing and letting go. Sarah’s bad luck with men was due to an abusive father, but what is worst is that her mother was to blind by it that it never helped her the way it should. Kelsey is an adorable sweet pea and is very much loved by everyone around her, but she got to know Sarah when they both needed a friend and that is how the story goes. During this time Sarah is trying to find herself to be independent and staying clear of her father and Eddie is trying to honor his wife the best he could, but then her spirit appears and this is where the questions come into place.

Sarah was abused by her father, and her mother didn’t defend her; she’s had no good experiences with men. She leaves North Carolina, and has been moving around Michigan, when she rents a dumpy house in Crystal Shores. Eddie is a firefighter – widow – single dad to Kelsey, his adorable and smart daughter. They live down the road from Sarah. When she finds out that her living situation isn’t safe, Eddie offers her a room in his home. He begins to have feelings for Sarah, but keeps seeing the host of his deceased wife, Sara. Can Sarah open up and learn to trust Eddie? Can he let go of his past? This is just a terrific opener to this new series, and I’m excited that I’ve had a chance to read it. The characters are real and relatable, and their journey is believable. Sarah – I just felt so bad for all that she’s been through, but she’s stronger than she thinks, and has more to offer. Eddie – such a nice guy, doing a great job raising his daughter alone – he’s so patient with Sarah, never pushing her too much. Kelsey – omg! – just the cutest and most precocious 4-year-old ever. Jan – Eddie’s sister, is so welcoming to Sarah, offering the friendship that she’s never had. I’m really looking forward to the next book.

I remember reading this weekly in her newsletter and I remember how much I enjoyed these characters, even more now that it’s been extended. This is a heartwarming story of two souls who have both had tragedies in their lives. Two different souls who find their way to each other.
Watching them both grow and change together makes your heart so full. I enjoyed everything about it. Highly recommended.

Eddie is a widowed father to a daughter named Kelsey. Sarah has moved to Crystal Shores from North Carolina. Kelsey ends up buys a cheap, rundown house because it’s the only thing that she can afford. Kelsey gets to know Sarah and likes her. Eddie has been struggling with his attraction to Sarah and he ends up pushing her away. Sarah had a rough childhood growing up with an abusive father and her father shows up out of the blue and he wants her to move back home. When she runs away, Eddie comes to realize that he loves Sarah. I really liked the story line and the characters. I’m looking forward to more in this series. Sarah arrives in Crystal Shores and rents a fixer upper that should be condemned. She gets a job at Marv’s Grocery. She meets Eddie’s daughter, Kelsey, and him at the store. For some reason, Sarah isn’t scared of Eddie the way she is of other guys. Why is that? I won’t leave any spoilers but I will say, I loved reading about Sarah and what she had to endure in the past. Grab your copy and get ready to root for Eddie and Sarah with an h.

This is a well written book with strong characters and an emotional story line. The author does a great job pulling you in with this heartfelt romance. She brings two people together each who have had past hurts , finding love with each other. She adds in strong supporting characters to help bring the story around and describes them and her scenes in detail. Great start to a new series! Loved and highly recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
You know a story that has elephants and that much sugar has to be fun and sweet. Of course, it isn’t all rainbows and unicorns but it’s the challenges that make us appreciate what we have and, eventually, Sarah with an h figures that out. It helps that Kelsey and Eddie have pure hearts.
I was initially overwhelmed when I saw the chapter count but the story flew by. While it was an appropriate ending, I would have been just fine if it had gone a bit longer. Looking forward to the next story! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A great beginning to a new series. A heartwarming story of two souls not looking for love. Eddie was happy with his life with his daughter after losing his wife. Sarah was running away from a terrible home life. Fate has a way of joining hearts when people aren’t even looking. I loved this story and I loved Eddie, Sarah and of course Kelsey. I am so looking forward to the next book.
Eddie is a widowed father of Kelsey. Sarah has moved to Crystal Shores from North Carolina and is struggling with finances. She buys a cheap, rundown house since it’s the only thing she can afford. Kelsey really likes Sarah and one of the reasons is her mother’s name was Sara. Eddie has been feeling guilty about his attraction to Sarah so he pushes her away. Sarah grew up with an abusive father and he shows up trying to get her to move back home. When she runs away, Eddie comes to realize that he loves Sarah. I really liked the story line and the characters. I’m looking forward to more in this series.
Enjoyed reading this because I always love it when a story builds a friendship because it allows the reader to get to know and better connect with the characters. His daughter is such a sweet child and even their individual other family members encountered evoke emotion. These things as well as a surprising paranormal twist all come together to make a happy and uplifting recipe for new love.
