Fans of menage, take notice! Mari Carr and Jayne Rylon have done it again! Light as Air rocked my world. Filled with sexy cowboys, a sweet heroine, and twisters (you know I’m a sucker for storm stories!). Believe me, this is one book you don’t want to miss.
This super sexy menage romance will heat up your summer! Light As Air has a wounded hero, a storm chaser, and a whole lot of love. I highly recommend this friends-to-lovers story.
This is book 12 in the Compton family Saga by Mari Carr and Jayne Rylon, and book 4 in the Compass Boys series. This book is about Doug (Seth & Jody’s son, from Southern Comfort), his best friend TJ, and a sweet Italian girl, named Rosalia.
Doug is so many things, resilient being the first that comes to mind. He took the ending of his dreams and turned it around, with the help and encouragement of his amazingly supportive family, making it into a new dream that eventually leads him to his future. He is also dependable, and reliable, as evidenced by his continued support and encouragement of TJ. He knows TJ’s life is not what it should be, and tries everything he can to pull him away from the train wreck his life has become, despite TJ’s reluctance. TJ, on the other hand, is so mired in his father’s mess that he can’t see his way clear. But he still managed to grow up to become an amazing man, despite his horrible upbringing. Rosalia is just plain amazing! She is open, and accepting, and her sunny outlook on life makes this trio one that grabs my heart!
This book was simply amazing! I couldn’t help but fall in love with everyone of the Comptons, and Doug, Rosalia and TJ were no exception. I loved watching them find their way to each other, as well as catching up with the lives of the other Comptons. Every time I read a book by one of these two authors, I am surprised all over again at how much I love their books! The chemistry, the connection, and the love that follows their characters pull readers in and won’t let them go. I’ve loved all of the Compass books, and am sad to see their stories come to an end. This amazing world has shared so much love with so many, and it was wonderful to watch the family grow, and evolve. This series is definitely on the top of my recommend (and re-read) list!
Well hell, the final book in this amazing series absolutely did not disappoint! How Mari and Jayne keep each book fresh, and their own I will never know! I went into Doug’s book, assuming he would find happiness with Rosalia. I had no idea that TJ would play such an important part. Trust me, I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled beyond words! This damn book made me cry again, for the loss TJ had endured. It was as dirty sexy as every other Compton book written! The sexual chemistry and attraction was off the charts, F-five for sure! I can close my eyes and see ever scene in my minds eye, so steamy, so damn sexy! I swear, if you haven’t read every book in the Compass series, you are doing yourself a serious injustice! READ THEM ALL, AND ENJOY!!
This is Book 4 in the Compass Boys series. Ok, I’m going to be honest here when I tell you that I cried at the end of the book. I have spent many happy nights visiting with the Compton family. This was just another great time with them. I just regret that it wasn’t longer with a deeper story between Doug, TJ and Rosalia. There’s a lot of emotion going on in this storyline between the three of them with a deeper look into TJ’s background. You will love the pull between them and how they finally came together. Remember the box of Kleenex because you will need it. It’s har to realize that this is the end of a series of books about the Compton family. We’ve been through so much together. The hardiest parts were the books with JD and Vicky leaving us. But we leave the family knowing everyone is loved and happy. A big thank you to the authors for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful book family. If you haven’t read any of the other books, I highly recommend reading the Compass Brothers, Compass Girls and the first 3 books in the Compass Boys series. They will quickly become a part of your family. Compton family, you will be missed! Maybe down the road, we will see the Compass grandchildren in a series? Fingers are crossed!
This is a very emotional and very hot ménage romance. The chemistry between Doug, Rosalia and TJ was absolutely electric and the intimate scenes are scorching. I love a book that not only brings the heat but the heart as well and there is so much going on here emotionally. From Doug’s struggle with his dream ending injury, to the long friendship between TJ and Doug, to the long simmering feelings and attraction between these friends, to the new attraction they both feel towards Rosalia, and TJ’s painful history and family issues. An amazing, beautiful and steamy read that both entertains and also moves you.
Wow, I really don’t know what else to say but wow.
The characters are amazing in all their complexity, the story is compelling in its diversity yet, it still leaves you with the sense of family that all the stories from the compass series leave you with.
This is the last in the series, and I’m sad to see this beautiful family go. But I also know both of these writers will be writing more amazing stories as we speak. If this was your first please go back and read the others t h eir so worth it.
fun read
I know I’m with many of you feeling a bit bummed that the excellent Compass Boys series is coming to an end . . . really, it’s the end of several series including Compass Brothers and Compass Girls. But, damn, what a way to end it!
I loved the love shared by Doug, TJ and Rosalia. Loved how they completed the puzzle for each other. That each of them filled in a hole in the others’ hearts and souls. That they could be so very real with each other.
And isn’t that what love really is all about? Finding that special someone (or someones) who loves you exactly who you are, without judgement, without trying to change you, without anything but acceptance. Even when they don’t necessarily agree with what you’re doing, or how you’re doing it . . . they just let it be known that they’ll be there if and when you fall.
We’d all be damn lucky to find a love like Doug, TJ, and Rosalia share. Because love is love, no matter who he or she or they may be.
