It’s always great to be back on the island for more stories revolving around Gansett Island. Mallory’s story is just as good as the other 15. Even at book 16, you don’t get the same old stories from Marie. Each story is fresh. I love how the characters are all “real”. They suffer from real problems. Their lives are not perfect. They struggle. They love, and they deal with whatever they are faced with. I do believe that you should not read this as a stand alone. If you do, you won’t have the background needed to understand most of the storylines. I love how the books don’t focus on just the “main characters” of the book, but the book can have multiple points of view as some of our favorite couples continue their journey. No cliffhanger. But, I’m always ready for some more Gansett.
This 16th book’s story line was okay. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. Mallory’s character was okay. I was very proud of Mallory. I was very happy for Mallory. Quinn’s character. I liked how Quinn & Mallory supported each other.
love this whole Gansett Island series.
Another fabulous read. I feel like I’m a part of this series, each time I pick up one of her books. She just draws you in from the first paragraph and you are emotionally invested in the McCarthy’s and the rest of the townsfolk, you are there for all the drama whether it be weddings , babies or craziness and Gansett Island is certainly a place I’d never want to leave. Here Mallory gets her HEA not only with war veteran Quinn but with the McCarthy’s too. You won’t be disappointed.
I thought Quinn and Mallory were really good together. I liked them both as a couple and as individuals. Their dialogue was witty, sweet, and sometimes solemn. They shared more than a date of birth. They also shared secrets that were hard for them to discuss with anyone else.
There were so many updates on other Gansett couples that I enjoyed, but I would have loved to spend more time with Quinn and Mallory’s blooming relationship.
One thing about the Gansett Island books and the associated characters is that You will always find a number of them dealing with real life issues, and sometimes there are not necessarily happy endings for some of the issues. You can count on the characters always prevailing with the love and support of family and friends.
As usual, when the McCarthy’s friends and family get together, there is a party and hilarity ensues. They are always good for laughs and some seriously sexy encounters.
Another family member found that belongs to the big McCarthy clan. When she loses a job and finds family she moves to the family stronghold for the summer and figure out her next move. It seems the family and Gansett Island have their own plans for Mallory!
The summer of Mallory is my second favourite book in the Gansett series. I love the struggles overcome by the characters in this book. A surefire winner.
