All the ghosts of Wes’s past are coming back to haunt him in a big way. A handwritten letter changes everything when he finds out his brother, Sam, is alive after Wes has thought him dead for years. The one who has tracked him down? The love of Wes’s life, Summer, but when she shows up on his doorstep, she isn’t the bright and cheery girl he left all those years ago. Summer is different … now–tough, snarly, independent, angry, and wrestling with an animal side that is relentless. Nothing can hide the dark beauty that radiates from her though. Her anger is Wes’s fault, but he had good reason. And now she is sending him on a mission to avenge his brother and set Sam free from a dominant pack of werewolves that thrive in war. His only ally is the woman who hates him the most.
Summer isn’t so summery anymore. There are no happy rainbows hovering over her life right now as she struggles to control the savage wolf inside of her. She loved hard once, and got really burned, and now she’s back to send Wes on a fool’s mission that will probably get him killed. All she has to do is not get attached to the charming alpha of the Kaid Pack. That man was trouble since the day he was born, but there is something about Wes that calls to her. The more he reveals about the reasons he left her, the more she thinks she might have been wrong about everything, and now sending him on a mission to fight an entire pack doesn’t seem like such a good idea. If something bad happens to him, her heart might just get broken…again.
The time has come. Time to heal, time to rise up, time to protect the throat of the man she once loved. Even if it means the end of her.

Oh my goodness I am so in love with Wes and Summer! They have such a deep history and this second chance at their life together is so intense. There were also so many moments that had me giggling or laughing as well. Summer and her back and forth with Wolf was perfection! It’s such a great read, I couldn’t put it down and I cannot wait to dig in to the next story.

Wes was the king of guilt. If the there was an earthquake, Was would find some way for it to be his fault or it seemed that way. This story gives reason to the whys of Wes. These brothers lovingly throw insults at each other and call each other names, but they have each other’s back too. Lift Her Up brings out lots of feels from Wes and from finding a brother who was believed deceased. I have read this series from book 1 and this one is my favorite so far.
T as always delivers a fantastic story that makes you feel all the feels!
** spoiler alert ** Wes has always struggled with showing his feelings. Summer is looking for closure to her past. He would do anything to make up for the past. Will Summer be able to forgive him for his past mistakes? Will Wes be able to have his complete family?
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Wes’ story. I loved how despite what he showed on the outside, he was still willing to do anything he could for those he cared about. I couldn’t blame Summer for being mad about the past, but loved seeing her slowly merge and become one with who she was now. Great read and cannot wait for the next!
This was quite an emotion roller coaster with the Alpha of the Kaid Pack and his second chance at love. Summer showed up with shocking news for Wes and that was hard emotional journey by it’s self and adding Summer into it was a story of anger, regret, sadness, betrayal and so much hurt.
I felt these things along with the characters as they waded their way through a field of emotions and forgiveness as they realized they were more perfect for each other now than they ever were before.
Summer was a delightful ball of anger and sarcastic comments. I loved her so much. Seeing the love Wes had for his one and only love, made me love her even more. Wes has grown throughout the series but I think his character grew the most through the pages of this book. I’m so excited to see what happens in the 4th Kaid Ranch Shifters book.
Wonderfully written story of courage and hope!
Wow Oh Wow! I really start each new book from this author thinking it’s gonna be just the same. But every time I am shocked and surprised at the emotion her words bring out of me. These characters have major flaws but as they learn to change and grow I can’t help but feel their changes right along with them. This one was emotional because of the whole Sam situation as well as how Summer and Wes left things between them. I loved it all. This series is a definite re-read. Such amazing characters!
Hunter is such a dear! I thought he was just humor. Then in his book I appreciated him but now? He rocks! The things he says and does in here for Wes….amazing. New favorite! I do have many conversations highlighted between Wes and Hunter as well as Summer and Wes. I think even one of the girls together. Another great epilogue as well!
I really can’t say enough good things about this story and it’s characters. Just one-click already.
Surprise Summer
Lift her up is the next book in the Kaid Ranch series and this one is about Wes, the Alpha and Summer, the one woman he left because he didn’t feel he could be the right man for her But when she turns up with information that surprises Wes, he will do anything to show her the man he is now
An awesome story that kept me glued to the pages and trying to get to the end as quickly as I could for my HEA Loved it and I can’t wait for the next TS Joyce 5 star read, as she never disappoints
