I received this book free for an honest review and it was the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m glad I decided to sign up to review it. I really enjoyed this book it just tugged at my heart strings all throughout the book. I also really enjoyed the relationship that two best friends can have with each other even after years of being apart. This book just really got to you and it shows you that things can change in an instant and it will leave you reeling for a while to come. This book shows you that no matter what hardships you go through if you can keep surviving you will end up on the other side better for it. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
A remarkable novel, wonderful characters and an easy read. A well paced novel that had many turns, I really enjoyed reading this book.
She didn’t think she’d find a job before school started but a last minute interview fixes that. Omg her best friend works there too. Now add her best friends brother to the mix. Whew there is happiness and twists but all together great characters and storyline.
This is a sweet story that quicklydrew me in and had me wanting to know what was going to happen next. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and follow along on their journey.
Life’s Second Chances is a beautiful love story between Angelina and Alejandro. They both must overcome losses they’ve suffered with the help of each other to get to the future they both wish to have with each other.
This was my first book I’ve read by this author and while I commend the author for writing such an amazing story that kept my interest, I have to say the story d—r—a—g—g—e—d on forever! There were many times I honestly was skimming because there was just too much fluff that the author thought was necessary, but honestly added very little to the story of the couple.
There was a lot of interaction between the main characters (Angelina and Alejandro) and their families. I mean Angelina’s best friend is Alejandro’s little sister. However, with of how much interaction there was I felt that it was too much meddling with the parents. Both Angelina and Alejandro are in their 30’s if not older and yet the mother’s are still constantly on their cases as if they are 16 years old. There was the constant “where were you?” “what’s wrong with him/her?” “why won’t you tell me what’s going on?” then the constant badgering that Alejandro’s mother did to Angelina to to discover her secret was a bit too much for me and aggravated me more than I’d like to admit…although after this review I’m sure you can guess how the constant interfering got on my nerves.
Life’s Second Chances
Good characters that I absolutely feel a lot of emotions for with many ups and downs
A sweet love story that makes you laugh, and cry, where emotions are strong. Angelina loves teaching school but when she has to find a new one, she hopes to find one quickly. How lucky she was when her new job is at the same school as good friend Gabriella. Angelina has a good life, loving family, a great job, wonderful co-workers and she loves teaching. One day Gabriella’s brother,Alejandro, moves back to be near his family, and work as a transplant specialist. Of course his sister wants the two to meet and they become friends. A health scare with Angelina’s sister leads to other health issues with Angelina. As she and Alejandro spend time together their feelings become stronger even when they both even though they both have things they must talk about. A story about loss and love, new and old, grief and happiness the future and the past. I love their story and this series is the kind of novels that I want to read. I love happy ending
What an amazing story! Angelina and Alejandro bring healing, peace and love to each other, as well as those around them. This book turned out just the way I wanted it to.
Sometimes life gives you an unexpected second chance, and you just have to grab a hold of it with both hands and not look back, and for Angelina Samuel’s that couldn’t be a truer statement. When she unexpectedly loses the job she loves, she is offered a another with only days to prepare, and she decides to jump in and take it and just have hope she is doing the right thing. Within a matter of a few days her life takes a completely different turn, and it winds up being the best experience she could have ever imagined, especially since it brings Alejandro into her life!
When life hands Alejandro Alvarez a second chance and the opportunity to take a new path in life, he decides to embrace it and see where it takes him… even if it has him unexpectedly returning to his hometown. Being home again, and re-familiarizing himself with his family and friends is has truly been the best medicine for him, and it’s helping him find a way to move on from the personal tragedy he has endured, and is starting to give him a new outlook on his life, and the possibility of finding love again. He never thought he’d find love again, but the minute that Angelina walks back into his life it has him reconsidering the possibilities…
