After Alejandro Alvarez’s best friend dies of kidney disease while in high school, Alejandro vows to change his life. Determined to help others suffering from his friend’s illness, he rejects joining his father’s pediatrics practice and instead trains as a nephrologist and a transplant surgeon. Fourteen years later, devotion to his career has rewarded him with a reputation as an excellent … surgeon, but success has left him alone, with no family that he can call his own.
Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Tammy Johansen is on duty when an infant must undergo a life-saving transplant. Working closely with famed surgeon Dr. Alejandro Alvarez, she sees the sensitive, lonely man beneath his professional exterior and wonders can such a man be interested in someone like her?
As they battle to save the tiny patient, Alejandro struggles with the emptiness within himself until the lovely and compassionate nurse at his side catches his attention. In that moment, one look at Tammy forever changes his life.
Life’s Forever Changed is the Prequel to Anne Stone’s The Show Me series.

I’m not going to go into a lot of details in this story. What I will say is I loved the characters and I’m glad it’s a series. This is an emotional rollercoaster that keeps you waiting for the next shoe to drop. All I can say is I didn’t see parts of the story going like it does.
Alejandro and Tammy’s story is amazing and a tear jerker. The emotions were palpable. I’m going to have to continue the series.
This book is amazing, I could not put it down until the very last word!!!! After losing his best friend at 15 to kidney disease , Alejandro Alvarez decides that he is going to be a transplant surgeon, to save others. Years of hard work have brought him happiness in his job but he has no one special to share his life with him. But then he see’s Tammy Johanson, a nurse at the same hospital and is immediately attracted to her and she to him. I cried how sweet and loving they both were, how being together made each person more special. All the things they learned and loved about each made me cry with happiness. I want to say more and more but refuse to spoil it for others who thinking about reading Life’s Forever Changed. I LOVE THIS BOOK
A sweet story of love and loss. This sets the next story up in the series. I liked the characters and enjoyed their journey it was just a little hard for me to get into. It kind of read like a summary at times with highlights of what we needed to know about what happened in the MC’s life.
Life’s Forever Changed by Anne Stone is an emotional journey of love, loss, and the way life changes in an instant. Alejandro and Tammy are brillantly executed by the author. We know and love these characters. Their love builds slowly and we get to see them in their everyday lives. I was totally invested and felt their happiness and pain. The ending tore my heart out and I was devastated. I will be reading more of this series and author. She entices her readers and has a great understanding of human emotions.
What a great story! This book will make feel happy with Alejandro and Tammy as their love for each other grows. You will also feel the sorrow and loss during their lives together. This is a beautifully written love story that will stay with you for a long time.
The plot and characters are well developed. I highly recommend this book, but keep a box of tissues handy!
We finally find out what happened to Alejandro. The story was shared but reading the full story was so much better. Love is a beautiful thing and when it happens to these two it is truly beautiful. Best friends, parents, lovers that’s what they were. They completed each other. The story is well written and emotional. The characters warm your heart and draw you in. This author is great at bringing us a clean read filled with all the goodies that make it enjoyable and worth the read.
An Anne Stone novel is like an out of body experience. Hard to be ready for, but prolific all the same. Life’s Forever Changed is evidence of that. Time flies by as Tammy and Alejandro illicit the feels of an unforgettable and emotional journey. Ms. Stone examines love, life and loss through the eyes of caring people and the hearts of every man. A romantic tale with a deeper message has begun. It’s the insight that makes us better and this tale of hope sets out to do that on a smaller scale, but with grandiose results.
