This book is just what I needed. I’m struggling to get back on the diet after the Christmas holidays and the author gave me loads of tips and advice on how to make adjustments in my life in order to change and succeed. Andie was so honest and even when telling us about the struggles she has had over the years, she managed to make me smile. Which having read a few of her other books is one of the things I love about this author.
The book has given me lots to think about and actions to make starting right now! This is such a good and honest read and I’d recommend it without a second thought.
#LifeBOSS by Andie M Long a life changing five-star read, read this book to be the best version of you.
I will start by being very honest, I saw this book was by Andie M Long and knew I had to have it even if it’s not my usual cup of tea, the woman could write a textbook in Japanese and I would still have a go at reading it. I got half way thought then started again from the beginning as I had planned on getting a journal at the start but didn’t. Needless to say I’ve started one now. I’ve read the whole thing but I will be rereading as it made so much sense, even about silly things like wearing a darker shade of lipstick.
Generally I wear a nude or gentle pink colour, but when I need a boost like when I’m travelling across country to see family I wear a lovely dark red colour as I generally need the boost as I worry I will miss my station and also I love my family and other people that I visit but it can be intimidating to see them at times. (Nearly naked and stuff for the others and weight wise with my family. I know they love me but still I’m the biggest person in my family they are all tiny waisted individuals). I would love to wear the darker shade more but when I do the people who know me day to day ie: hubby and work mates all say how different I look not how nice and this has always knocked me from wearing it even though I feel better and get more nods/smiles and hellos and general attention when I wear it (generally from the male variety of people). This book made me realise different can be good and who cares what they think, I feel better wearing it so I’m doing it!!! Every blooming day I’m wearing this colour. It’s also going on my board, which you will understand when you read the book.
I was lucky enough to meet the author at a signing earlier this year so when I was reading about her struggle it made me realise that I wasn’t the only one feeling like a gibbering wreck that day and if she had the lady balls to meet and greet so many people (there were probably a couple of hundred people but it felt like every single person in Newcastle and the north east was in the room that day!!) then what was I scared about wearing a dark lipstick.
I loved this book, I already bought a copy for my mum and I’m planning on buying it for at least 2 friends, my mums already half way through and saying do I mind if she loans it to a friend to read as its got something for everyone. This isn’t your typical self-help book, it’s so much more.
