Loved this book, a bit slow to start then completely action packed til the ending
It was very hard to follow.
The author material was really different from most things I have read. I love the book. In many ways it is a psychology study of people and how they act in a crisis .
Book way better than the movie
fantastic
This had been on one of my children’s reading list years ago – I bought it & read it before he did & found it hard to put down so read it in an afternoon – very thought provoking – made for wonderful discussions with my son
The only reason I gave the book a 4 star review is because I noticed I was just skipping over some sections of the book. However, I found the book inspirational and thought-provoking while it was also enjoyable reading.
Maybe not five stars but definitely more than four. This is a totally unique story. The premise seems a bit outlandish, yet I was drawn deep into the story. The first part of the book that takes place on land is a tremendous storehouse of animal knowledge. The part that takes place on the sea often left me anguishing for resolution.
Loved this book. The incredible writing transports the reader into the narrator’s world.
I hated the ending of the book and wish I had never heard of it.
One of my favorite books! Brilliant and original!
Kind of boring
Incredible story, beautifully written with great characters
If you haven’t read this in your life your missing one of the best books ever
I loathed this book. I found the scenes with the zebra being eaten a little bit at a time hard to stomach and unnecessarily violent. I would not recommend this book to ANYONE.
Also rather stupid!
Audio Version was outstanding!
Did not like this book. Didn’t like character. Thought story was dumb.
Fantasy done well.
Strange, but a book you won’t forget
