It is rare that I read a book that makes me cry, laugh and smile and yet, leaves me happy. Life Goes On by Kelly Moore does that. The quality of her writing and the emotions she wrings from her readers are the mark of a truly gifted writer. Primarily, this is the story of Olivia and Silas. They have the perfect marriage based on a remarkable love for each other. When tragedy strikes, Olivia receives help from the most unlikely source: Silas. I can’t say enough about the author and how she brings a reader to tears through her words. Yet, in its moments of heartbreaking sadness, this story gives the reader a hint of hope for a happier future for Olivia. Ms. Moore understands the emotional process of grieving and it plays out beautifully on paper (or e-reader)! Truly, LIFE GOES ON and this book is absolutely amazing!

Audiobook Review
This was my first book by this author and I was completely hooked from the start and completely blown away by all the feels. This story was emotional, raw and intense. It was just so so real. I think Sarah Puckett does such a fantastic job with books like this because she does an amazing job at helping the listener to feel all the emotions that I think the author wants the reader/listener to feel based on what the characters in the book are going through…and Olivia went through it all in this book. Her love with Silas was inspirational and the loss she endured was heartbreaking and life-changing, but there was also something beautiful in the gifts Silas gave her.
I loved the friendship she had with Charlie and Noah and the adventures she went on and how she worked to live and have adventures and put herself outside of her comfort zone in a time when her natural inclination would be to do the complete opposite. While this book was emotionally difficult at times, it was also inspirational and just plain real and almost a necessary reminder to remember that each day is a gift and to embrace life. I cannot wait to read more from this author. I am pretty sure if her other books are like this, I will be a fan for life.
This is a WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL story! I could actually *feel* the emotions. The love…OMG the love these two have for each other! Was so Big! Silas was amazing! I cried every time he got book space! What he had to go through for Olivia! I can’t even imagine. But I could tell he loved her immensely.
Charlie and Noah both get a nod from me. They are the BEST of friends to Silas and Olivia. They are there for them in ways I can’t even fathom. As we come to know them better they are a great couple as well.
I wondered for a while what to write about this story. It really is amazing. The thoughtfulness and survival spirit is strong in this book. I didn’t want to do it injustice. I did have one teeny weeny issue with this story was the timeline. I could be wrong and a year is a long time. But what they felt for each other seemed timeless. I did listen to this on audio. Sarah Puckett was amazing! She helped elevate this to a new level.
This story is so realistic. It shows us how fragile life really is. Liv and Silos have the perfect relationship until one tragic event changes everything. Life Goes on is how a wife can go on without her soulmate. How a person can cling to anything to remember, to love and to have hope. Get the tissues ready, because this is one rollercoaster that will make you ugly cry before it leads you out of the darkness.
Sarah Puckett has a wonderful voice for Liv. There is a compassion there that brings Liv’s emotions to life. Sarah has a way of making her listeners feel every emotion the characters are feeling. This is one intense story and Sarah enhanced the experience.
What do you do when you lose the love of your life? Life goes on, but how? Kelly Moore has written a love story so emotional, and touching. This story will tug at your heartstrings. It’s a story of a love so deep, even after death , Silas knows her actions and thoughts . Through messages and challenges , Olivia has to earn to receive the next message. Throughout the story, Olivia learns more about herself and how Silas teaches her to let go of her grief and move on with her life. Sarah Puckett’s narration is so emotional and flawless. She captures Olivia’s, Charlie’s and Noah’s grief and emotions. I was gifted this audio book and offered my honest review. Audiobookobsessionreview
What can I say!?! I’m a hopeless romantic. Did I love Liv and Silas? Yes. Did it hurt? Yes.
I fully admit to being an overly emotional reader/listener. It didn’t help that Life Goes On is one of my biggest fears in print/audio. The fear of losing my husband and life partner has always been there. Kelly Moore definitely managed to rankle me. Sarah Puckett gave Liv a voice. She made her strong, weak, broken, and showed us her love.
I enjoyed this story. I just wish it were a bit different. It comes across as an attempt to update P.S. I Love You. Uptight book lover opinion aside, Life Goes On has all the feels. Just be careful where you decide to listen…I started sobbing at the grocery store. it wasnt pretty!

“The one lesson I’ve learned in my time here is that life really does go on. We’ve all been through hardships, but life keeps going. You just have to dig in and fight back.”
Life Goes On was a heartbreaking tale of loss and yet a heartwarming story of finding joy in life and rediscovering love in the midst of pain. Kelly Moore has a creative way of bringing readers to tears with her emotionally raw stories and joy of new found love. This is a fantastically well written story with wonderful characters readers will fall in love with.

This was my first story by Kelly Moore. I love the story from the first words until the end. I want to give a little background to the story but I jumped in not knowing what the story was going to be about and I think that is the best way to read this one. I can say that it opens with a recent tragedy and Liv’s year long journey to find her way back. She has surprises along the way and you see her slowly come back. I also love Charlie and Noah and their love story line. This is the Book 3 but it is completely a standalone so no worries if you have not yet enjoyed the other two. I hope you love this great story as much as I did. Looking forward to reading all of Kelly Moore soon. I listened to this in an audiobook format.

Very few books have made me cry. I’m not talking a few tears from an emotional moment. I’m talking full on ugly cry sobs! You will definitely need tissues, maybe a nice glass of wine for comfort. But once you’re past the tears, you find that it wasn’t the end of the road, not a dead end, but just part of her journey. Such a beautiful story.
The audio was wonderful only added to the story that much more.

Have your Tissues Handy!
This is the story of a woman (Olivia) losing her husband (Silas) who is her one true love. She is pretty much ready to give up on life, she doesn’t want to go on without him. Her husband loves her so much and knows that she will have a hard time moving past this. He comes up with a way for her to move forward with his help, even though he isn’t present. He wants her to live and be happy again. With his help, she is in fact able to accept the idea of moving on and is able to find some happiness.
The author did an amazing job grabbing and keeping my attention. I was hooked. She used great descriptions. Character development was good. The secondary characters played a huge role and they had me just as interested as the main characters. You will definitely want to have tissues handy! Pretty sure I shed tears throughout this whole book. I also found myself laughing through many parts.
Sarah Puckett is an amazing narrator and did a wonderful job projecting Olivia’s pain and emotions. I felt them down deep in my heart. I love that I was able to distinguish the different characters.
This audiobook definitely deserves 5 emotionally amazing stars!
