“Assured, compelling, and hypnotically readable—with a twist at the end I guarantee you won’t see coming” (New York Times bestselling author Lee Child), T. M. Logan’s debut psychological thriller dissects a troubled marriage straight to the marrow as one man separates the truth from the Lies… respected teacher living in a well-to-do London suburb. But that was before he spotted his wife’s car entering a hotel parking garage. Before he saw her in a heated argument with her best friend’s husband. Before Joe confronted the other man in an altercation where he left him for dead, bleeding and unconscious.
Now, Joe’s life is unraveling. His wife has lied to him. Her deception has put their entire family in jeopardy. The man she met at the hotel has vanished. And as the police investigate his disappearance, suspicion falls on Joe.
Unable to trust the woman he loves, Joe finds himself at the mercy of her revelations and deceits, unsure of who or what to believe. All he knows is that her actions have brought someone dangerous into their lives—someone obsessed with her and determined to tear Joe’s world apart.
What if your whole life was based on LIES?

Good story, kept u on your toes!
I NEVER saw that ending coming.
Lies tells the story of a man who realizes his whole life lately has been nothing but lies. As Joe Lynch is driving home from picking his son, Wills, up from school, Wills cries out that he sees his mother’s car. Quickly, Joe realizes it is her car. When he follows it to a local motel, his life begins a quick downward spiral like a big toilet flush of everything good . His marriage appears to be breaking up and his life is under attack. The story starts a little slow but once it began rolling I could not put it down, Fast paced and full of twists, I began the story thinking I had everything worked out and this author managed to surprise me. The story took turns to unexpected places that had my heart pounding and questioning how well you can know someone. The story chilled me to the bone and left an eerie, everlasting impression of how scary modern technology can be. Definitely a thriller read of a story with a memorable plot that will keep you reading way too late into the night. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.
My Review
Review My Review of”Lies” by T M Logan St. Martin’s Press September 11, 2018
T M Logan, Author of “Lies” has written a captivating, intriguing, intense suspenseful novel. The Genres for this novel are Fiction, Mystery, Suspense and Thriller. The story is set in the present tense and goes back to the past when it pertains to the characters or events in the story. BE WARNED: You will not expect the ending, No way. (No cheating by going to the end)
The author describes her characters as complex and complicated. There are betrayals and deep secrets. There are clues and red herrings along the way. This is one roller coaster of a ride, but not predictable at all. Joe Lynch has an adorable young son, and a wife that is full of surprises. Actually, Joe is in for a rude awakening. His life will never be the same. Can one be sure that you really know the one that you married?
It starts with Joe’s wife telling him one lie. Joe, his wife, and his son’s life’s are threatened by a crazy person Why is Joe is losing everything? There are no rules. Someone is cunning and vicious. I would recommend this for readers who love thrillers with a surprise ending. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review. (less)
A compelling, twisty page-turner, and that’s the truth.
Lies is a fast-paced psychological thriller for the first half of the book. I was sucked in feeling sorry for the main character who did nothing wrong and was being blamed for Ben’s disappearance and possible death. As the story continued, it dragged on and on and as the end approached and the truth was revealed it was just blah…I no longer felt for the main character. Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the copy to read and review.
Lies by T.M. Morgan was the first book I read by this author and was one I truly enjoyed. Joe Lynch’s life is good and he is happy. But all that changes when he unexpectedly witnesses his wife, who is supposed to be at work, arguing with a family friend. In one moment, everything in his life changes!
Though I like Joe very much, he was also so naïve. Suddenly he is learning everything he thought was true may not be at all! I found myself wanting to know what would happen next and how would it all end! Lies by T.M. Morgan was intriguing and suspenseful and I look forward to reading more from this author!
Happy reading!
Heart-thumping suspense and the greatest twist since Gone Girl. I inhaled Lies in one day and loved every page.
What if everything in your life turned out to be a LIE? For Joe, it all started on a Thursday afternoon when his 4 year old son, William, spotted his mother, Mel’s, car and wanted to know where she was going. What follows is a mind boggling, twisty, and gripping search for the truth. How well do you really know those closest to you? What if being the “good guy” isn’t enough? And, lastly, what happens when that “good guy” is pushed too far?
I was equal parts intrigued and appalled by how those with knowledge (I’m talking to you, tech nerds!) can manipulate data to their own advantage. This part of the story made my heart race just thinking about the possibilities for evil, and it definitely provided an element unique from other thrillers I’ve read. Yikes.
While I was compelled to keep reading — and I definitely had to know if sweet, endearing Joe would survive this nightmare — I’m giving this one 3.5 stars, instead of a solid 4, because I felt like some questions were left unanswered. I did, however, love the engaging writing style and look forward to more from this author!
I received an advance copy. All opinions are my own.

Upon reading the premise of “Lies” by T.M. Logan, I was immediately intrigued. Boasting a unique concept that kept me guessing most of the way, I found “Lies” to be a very compelling story from start to finish. Distinctive, gripping and suspenseful, “Lies” is a psychological thriller that doesn’t disappoint.
What do you do when your whole world is turned upside down? When truth becomes lies? An innocent sighting by little William Lynch of his mother’ s car is the beginning of the unraveling of Joe Lynch’s world.
What do you do when you find out that the person you trust most in the world may not be who you think they are? What do you do when no matter what you do the noose tightens around your neck?
Psychological Thriller? Definitely. Well written withtwists and turns that are the hallmark of a psychological thriller.; an interesting cast of characters whose actions keep you guessing.
Read this book you. You won’t be disappointed.
Thank you to #Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC of this book. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This book was intense and confusing, but confusing in a good way—in the way that made me want to keep turning the pages because I needed to find out who was lying and what was the truth. I knew the story was going to be full of lies, well because, that’s the name of the book, right? Lies. So, from the very start, I found myself questioning everything and everyone. Is this a lie? Is he lying? Is she lying? I didn’t know what to believe.
On and on throughout the story, as people get pulled one way or another and events get twisted around and around, I got dizzy with the possibilities. And those scenarios in my head did not lead me to the ending that the author wrote on the pages. My mind didn’t even go there. I love when that happens!
What do you do when your significant other is caught in a lie? Can you believe what they tell you from that point on or do you remain suspicious and doubt everything they say? Do you find yourself reviewing all the things they have ever told you? Do you feel like you never truly knew them? Do you feel like maybe you’ve been coasting along in life and that is why you missed the signs? Did you see things and just dismiss them as nothing? What an amazing read this was, it kept me on the edge of me seat from start to finish. I knew my feelings were set from the beginning and I rooted for Joe the whole way through. I hoped that by the end he would find the truth because with all he goes through I knew that I would want truthful answers. One small thing set his life upside down and you immediately realized that things would never be the same for him. In that one moment his life changed forever. You’ll wonder the whole way through who is lying and who is actually telling the truth. The author intricately wove a tale filled with untruths, will you be able to tell fact from fiction or will you fall for a web of lies? #LiesBook
An interesting read with several twists that really makes you think about social media and technology. One man thinks he has the perfect life. Maybe not exciting, but he is happy with his wife and son, even his job. One evening changes everything and Joe has to unravel what in his life is real and what is a lie as social media and technology helps blur the lines.
This was a page-turner and a thriller. What happens to a person who has no reason to believe anything is as it seems? Joe is pretty naïve, but who isn’t at times. This is a good one to curl up with and not check your social media accounts…

Great read in this genre – really keeps you guessing.
*4.5 Stars*
I really loved this mystery/thriller!
I have not read a book in this genre that I enjoyed as much as this one in a LONG time. From beginning to end, I was hooked and couldn’t get enough of this story!
Joe is living the perfect life, or so he thinks. He loves his wife and they have an amazing son together. One day, he is driving home when his son catches a glance of his mother’s car. After following her into the hotel car parking lot, his life starts to unravel as lies stack upon more lies.
I couldn’t help but feel for Joe and hope he could get out of the mess he was shoved into. He definitely isn’t the smartest character and a little naive at times but I loved him just the same.
This book is fast paced, written in 1st person, and with short chapters it’s easy to sit and read through until you finish. I love how Logan used social media, text messages, and hacking technology to make this novel feel very current. It made the story so much more real and a little scary as well. This kind of thing could happen easily to so many people.
I usually end up guessing the twist early on in thriller books and end up not enjoying them as much. With this one, I was stumped! I mean sure, I had part of it guessed but the other half of it shocked the heck out of me! I never saw it coming and it was a genius twist.
This was my first read by T.M. Logan but it will not be my last! I can’t wait to read more of his work.
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
Can lies be deadly? Can lies ruin your life? Can lies be undone?
I think we know the answer to those questions, and Joe definitely knew the answer to two of these questions. His life was turned upside down because of lies his wife was telling him and lies that someone else was spreading about him.
Finding out your wife has been cheating on you for the past five months and then having to deal with what someone was doing to your life via social media is what Joe was dealing with.
How could this be happening and how could one person be orchestrating it alone. Someone had to be helping each other to bring Joe down.
LIES doesn’t immediately pull you in, but once it does you won’t be able to put the book down. The tension mounts with the turn of each page.
And…the ending…WOW!!
This is a must-read end-of-summer treat.
LIES will also have you considering canceling all of your social media accounts. 4/5
This book was given to me as an ARC. All opinions are my own.
Lies by T. M. Logan, this is the 1st book from this author that I have read and I will be reading more!
Lies is about a woman Mel, who has an affair, her husband Ben finds out, the boyfriend disappears and it’s made to look as if Ben is responsible for it and he is busy trying to prove the boyfriend is alive and just trying to set him up for his murder…..see where it takes you in the end. I did not see it coming!! :0 Thank you Netgalley and the Publishers for allowing me to read this ARC book and give my own personal opinion!
This is a fast paced psychological thriller that had me captivated. I found myself turning the pages late into the night to see what would happen next. The characters are interesting and multilayered. The story will have you questioning how well do you really know someone? An interesting story.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, my review has been voluntarily submitted.
LIES by T M Logan. St Martens Press.
The tension starts at the beginning, a four year old boy who knows his cars. Seeing one that is his Mommy’s car, Lee decides to follow and surprise her. The surprise was shattering, the situation was wrong, a man they knew why was he angry. Disaster in the parking lot, now what to do. My son needed me, and my wife not answering her cell, and now I lost my cell phone. Ten years and now she is lying to me.
What follows will gripp you to the end, of a lie that was never suspected, or the people involved. Would there be a life after for any of them, and what was behind it all, or was he a pawn in their game. A new author and without a doubt will look for more more. The plot didn’t drag, the characters were vivid in detailed. Given ARC by Net Galley and St Martens Press for my voluntary review and my honest opinion. EllenOceanside
