Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it … she could just remember how it all happened.
One thing is certain, being married to one of the hottest rock stars on the planet is sure to be a wild ride.

Love the characters!
This is a great rock star romance. Both Ev and David are great and they become a better person because of each other. they have their ups and downs but the love finds its way. Worth the read.
Instalove
Rockstar Romance
Accidental Marriage
Okay. I’m not usually a big fan of the Instalove trope, so when the “I love you”s started coming within 4-5 days of the couple knowing each other, I was thinking this book was a 3.5 for me. And it was! Up until the halfway point-which was when it got bumped up to 4 stars.
Things happen to break the main couple apart and I loved the way the author handled everything. This book gave good grovel and the issues weren’t resolved in one meeting. The hero wasn’t exactly my favorite in the first half of the book but he redeemed himself by the end. I really liked how they came together and the whole reconciliation bit.
I have read or listened to this book, this series ten or more times. Sometimes after reading I can get in a book funk or am not able to read with the craziness going on in the world right now. The Stage Dive guys always clear my head and set me back to rights. David being the soulful serious one, is perfect to calm me.
Kylie writes the perfect combination of angst and funny with a delightful helping of spicy. Evelyn is turning twenty-one in Vegas on a mission to get laid. She really shouldn’t have had all those shots with her bestie Lauren. Waking up extremely hungover from the night before and not remembering a thing is unfortunate since she has gotten herself a hot rocker hubby. Ev is delightful in her normality, a college student and her parents good girl. She has no flash in her life of architecture classes, her job as a barista and her love of all veggie pizza. She has zero room for a rockstar, but what if?
David is drowning under the paparazzi and a spiraling band. He can’t write and getting away from everything leads him to meet refreshing Ev. The pair decide in their drunken evening that getting married is an excellent idea. He’s moody, guarded, scared and deep. The couple are unique and fun as they learn how to be a couple.
I love their love story, it’s not conventional or pretty. When they finally do commit for real is so swoony. Andi Arndt is the perfect narrator. I’m certain I will read and listen to this story many more times. It just makes me happy.
Evelyn Thomas decides to celebrate her 21st birthday in Las Vegas with her best friend, Lauren. Evelyn wakes up one morning throwing up and feeling like crap. While all this is going on, she notices a man in the room with her. David Ferris is his name and he explains the two got hitched last night. Talk about a whirlwind of emotions and a heck of a way to wake up.
David Ferris just so happens to be part of a rock band called Stage Dive and insanely famous. Evelyn had no idea who he was until paparazzi takes over and her friend Lauren clues her in to her new husband’s fame. I LOVED this story so much. It’s a rock star romance and anyone close to me knows how I steer clear of those. They just aren’t my thing….or so I thought. Kylie Scott has definitely made me reconsider everything I thought I felt about rock star romances. I consumed this novel and couldn’t get enough.
I really enjoyed the characters in this story. Evelyn was a favorite of mine. She and I are similar in that we are cautious and tend to do whatever we can to please those around us. It was fun seeing Evelyn come out of her shell while being around David. At the same time, David seemed to level out and become more grounded while being around Evelyn.
I felt the drama in this one was ON POINT. There were several times my jaw hit the floor because I didn’t see something coming or was just blown away by certain situations. I’m craving book two like nobody’s business. I think I’ve found a new favorite author!!!!
I loved this book! I loved how this wasn’t your typical rock we book! Full of humor, sass, and all the emotion you could want! When characters can make you hate them and make you love them, you know it’s a fantastic book! A must read!
Loved the entire Stage Dive series!
love this whole series!
Loved it
Absolutely love a rock romance with a hottie playboy who turns to mush over a girl and does a complete turnaround and that’s what I got.
loved the characters so will definitely follow the series.
A hot read with a straight-talking take no shit female a hot male, humor, drama in the mix and a hea it was a great read.
The best rockstar romance I have read in ages! Looking forward to the others.
Love this trope! Great book!
This book was amazing. I received my copy free with an online order from my local book store, and I just kind of put it aside and didn’t really think much about it until recently. I finally picked it up, and boy am I glad I did. This was an addictive story right from the get go.
I mean a twenty-one year old girl wakes up with a deadly hangover, married to a famous, sex god rockstar – oh, and she can’t remember a thing about it? – this had me hook, line and sinker from that moment.
Davie and Ev’s relationship is as rocky as you’d expect it be, yet it still somehow seems real. Not just your sometimes hard to believe relationship like some novels have. This one is full of mistakes and emotions and all of the things that would be entailed in a real relationship, without being unbelievable.
The secondary characters, particularly Lauren, Mal and Sam were also wonderful and endearing. I loved their parts in the book too.
I really enjoyed reading this book and I blazed through it really quickly. Can’t wait to read the next one!
Wonderful story that makes you laugh but draws you in with heart aching tenderness!
I really loved David and Ev. David is the lead guitarist for the band Stage Dive, he meets Ev one night in Vegas. Ev wakes the next morning having no memory of the night before. David is very upset as he remembers it all to well. Because he is a member of one of the biggest bands on the planet things quickly escalate with crazy fans, managers, lawyers, and paparazzi. Will they be able to build a relationship with his wild lifestyle? Will Ev remember what drove them to a Vegas wedding in the first place? There is something very hurt but also so sweet about David. Ev has moments where her backbone shows strong, but other times where she really could stand up for herself more. It has been awhile since I first read this series, but I think this was also my first book by Kylie Scott. I have enjoyed everything I have read by her.
One of my favorite romances!
I am a fan, I enjoyed this book immensely, it’s got hot guys and music and its a very enjoyable read.
I am swooning over David , he sounds really hot, I liked his character , there were times where I wanted to slap some sense into him, I mean he expected Evelyn to trust him fully but not give her the same, but finally he’s able to let the past go,they make a really good couple.
I loved Evelyn, she’s funny and just blurts out whatever comes to mind and I loved that, she has her faults too but I guess I get where she’s coming from, I loved when she decides to give this marriage a chance, it wasn’t the easiest thing to do, I mean she married a guy she didn’t know at all when she was pretty much blackout drunk but it turns out that she said yes to the right guy .
I loved the story, its a guilty pleasure of mine , I love books about romance and rock and roll so it won me over from the start
I was surprised I actually liked it because of the way it’s written, but it was a real page-turner.
So, I’m totally hooked on Kylie Scott’s books. She’s an author who simply doesn’t disappoint. Lick is the first book in the Stage Dive series. Full of handsome, misunderstood, kind-hearted rockers covered in ink, how can you possibly resist? Ms. Scott has a talent for writing witty, strong yet vulnerable characters that actually feel real.
Evelyn Thomas has always done what was expected of her. That’s why everyone, including herself, was shocked when she woke up in Las Vegas with a massive diamond ring on her left finger. During a night of reckless partying and drinking to celebrate her 21st birthday, Evelyn met David Ferris, the guitarist for the popular band, Stage Dive.
David Ferris found himself attracted to Evelyn because she wasn’t a self-centered fake like most of the people around him. She was the real deal. Young and naive, she was a breath of fresh air.
Each attracted to the other with a developing friendship, David and Evelyn decided to see how their unplanned marriage would work out. Their sweet and sexual journey is a romance lover’s paradise.
Happy reading!
Listened to the Audio book
Was an ok story. Just didn’t think it was great. However, the narrator was one of the best I’ve listened to. Voice inflection when characters changed was enough for me to imagine a male and female character.
One of the Best Series I’ve ever read hands down 5 stars
