He was my uncle’s friend, and I was too young for him. But in the heat of the moment, against the wall in a darkened hallway of an illicit club, none of those things mattered. It was just one night of giving in to what we both wanted. I never expected to see him two years later, sitting across me during a family dinner, encouraging me to do my internship for his business. On day one we both agree …
On day one we both agree that repeating that night would be a mistake. But it’s a mistake we can’t help but make again and again.
The rules are simple. We can’t tell my uncle. We have to be content with our hotel rendezvous. And we won’t fall in love.
But we both know we’re liars.

Liar the latest novel in the Voyeur series by Fiona Cole was a forbidden romance that I could not put down. I enjoyed this story. I loved the characters,I loved the heat level and the romance. It all just came together perfectly and I was hooked from beginning to end. If you love age-gap stories with a sassy younger h and a dirty talking H then you will love Liar. Kent and Olivia had such intense chemistry and their steamy scenes were off the charts hott, I loved seeing them as a couple.
Liar was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of age-gap romances.
It was previously a Newsletter story, and I remember I died every time the chapter ended. I’m a huge fan of forbidden love and age gap so when Fiona said she’s going to release it, I signed up real fast. Lol I need more of Kent and Olivia. They were so fire, dirty, and explosive together. Kent is pretty much everyone’s dream alpha man. I just love him. Olivia is totally a feisty girl who is not afraid to go for what she wants. I got frustrated with her for a bit though. I love Kent and Daniel’s bromance. Lol If you love age gap, PICK THIS ONE UP.
I’m so happy we’re going to get Daniel’s story, but I’m sad it’s going to be the last book in the series. I adore this series so much.
Is it hot in here, or is it just me? Seriously, I’m still trying to douse the flames Olivia and Kent left me in.
The chapters Fiona gave us of Olivia and Kent in her newsletter was just a shall tease in what she had up her sjeeve. I was fist pumping when she decided to make their story a full novel.
Olivia and Kent are all things forbidden. Olivia, being the niece of Kent’s best friend should already be a big reason why she should be off-limits. Add to that their age difference that should be another reason they should stay away from each other. But they can’t deny the chemistry and especially the passion they feel. And boy were they fire together.
Liar was a sizzling forbidden age gap romance filled with seduction and sensuality. It’s another great addition to the Voyeur world.
This was the perfect mix of heavy and light. I found myself smiling and laughing so much with this story it was refreshing! It was also so hot and sexy too, as is all of Fiona’s books!
I haven’t met any characters of hers that I haven’t fallin in love with, Olivia & Kent we’re no exception. They are perfect for each other and it was so fun to see their story unfold!
I cannot wait for more in the Voyeur world
FIRST BOOK OF THE NEW YEAR!!
You know you’ve wanted an Olivia book since Voyeur. I know *I* wanted an Olivia book since then.
This one did not disappoint. Well maybe just a little, Olivia’s need to keep it a secret got old. I really thought it would have been Kent’s idea and she wouldn’t have wanted to go along with that.
So WHERE can I find myself a Kent? B/c that sex was off the charts H.O.T.
“Seeing” the whole gang was A-MAZING! I loved how everything/everyone intertwined. Now for Daniel and Hannah. Oh BOY does that one seem like it will be a fantastic journey.
#ChokeMeKent
5 FORBIDDEN STARS!! Oh how I crave forbidden stories…and this one hit the spot. Kent and Olivia have so much chemistry and sparks fly when they get around each other, but can they keep it a secret. This story will hit all your emotion buttons and keep you turning pages. You must read this book.
This is Olivia and Kent’s story.
A forbidden romance between the much younger Olivia, who happen to be Daniel’s niece and Kent who’s older and very much Daniel’s best friend.
We first meet these two from Fiona NS at the Voyeur. When Olivia sneak in and meet Kent when she’s nineteen and they have that one night together.
Liar is two years after that. Now twenty one Olivia and Kent being almost fourty, an older man with younger woman who’s forbidden, sounds hot and promise lots of steamy, right?
Definitly is
At first Liar is all about their reckless lust.
It was exciting.
It was fun.
Even Kent said Olivia makes him laugh and come. That’s enough.
But along the way feelings changes.
They both want more.
Fun is no longer enough.
Lust and passion is just one thing among other they both want.
But with so much at stake, would they be brave enough to come out? Or would that forbidden fruit just sweet in the dark but not anymore when it’s out in the open for everyone to know?
Would they be willing to loose everything just to have each other?
One was the light of their life can be their doom, does become a liar would be better for them?
My first read from Fiona was Shame and it was my first love for her. And Liar give me back the same feeling.
It sexy
It’s forbidden
It’s more than between the sheet issue
The angst
The fear
The shame
Fiona catch them all in Liar. She keep the story real with the characters feelings. She keep readers hang on to her every word with fast pace and more than steamy scenes.
She give hard, sexy, hot steamy analy. I’m sure you know I’m dead serious analy
Definitly great start in the new year read with Liar
3.5 stars. It’s important to read the free prequel, Watch With Me, prior to starting this book. That is where Olivia and Kent first meet at Voyeur and although it is a brief encounter, it sets up the stage for their overall chemistry and the impact that they had on one another before Liar begins, approximately 2 years later.
Olivia is trying to figure out what to do with her life as her college career is coming towards a close. She’s simply biding her time but hasn’t really found anything that has made her tick or shown any excitement towards. So when an opportunity for a hotel internship comes about, with none other than Kent, the man she met that one memorable night, Olivia’s interest is peaked. Largely in part because of the man himself and what better way to get to know him than through this educational experience.
It’s obvious that Olivia and Kent are drawn to each other. There are a few obstacles in place. Their age difference. The fact that Olivia is a student working at Kent’s hotel. And the biggest of them all is that Olivia’s uncle Daniel is Kent’s best friend since college. Despite all those things and efforts towards restraint, resistance is futile and they give in to their whims and pleasure. Olivia finds Kent to be so fascinating and enchanting, she can’t get enough of him because he’s a man who knows what he wants and doesn’t beat around the bush like most guys her age do. As for Kent, he’s not a relationship type of guy. He never has been because he got burned once and is quite happy with his current casual lifestyle. Yet Olivia is like that forbidden apple that he isn’t satisfied with after only one taste.
The lust and temptation was obvious. They had palpable chemistry. But I was a bit lost when lust transformed into love because I hadn’t quite felt the shared connection of vulnerability just yet even though they were able to act upon their deeper and more intimate desires. So when the words started flying between them, I felt like it was too soon and not quite believable. I struggled a bit with Kent going from being a player to someone who sees a future with Olivia. Other than that, they are well depicted in terms of their concerns for the barriers between them especially with regards to their maturity and age. Kent opts for the more direct approach whereas Olivia would rather cut and run. If they are truly serious about their relationship, it can’t stay hidden and they need to face the truth about where it could lead if they want it to. Definitely steamy with forbidden elements and I liked that Olivia was so bold and forward. She gave Kent a run for his money and likely he needed someone like her to keep him on his toes.
I absolutely LOVED Kent and Olivia’s story. I thought Lovers was hot but whew Liar took the cake. This story was sexy, steamy and so so satisfying. Kent was the older sexy man, Olivia the young fiesty, off limits young woman. When all was said and done and these two gave in to their feelings it was pure magic. Actual steam came off these pages. It was great to read the progression of their relationship with all the bumps and hurdles because the ending was simply beautiful. I’m about to do reread. Oh, and I most definitely can’t wait for Daniel’s book.
I am hooked on Fiona’s books. I have read all of them in the Voyeur Series and loved them all. If you are looking for a sexy, forbidden (best friends niece), age gap romance then you should definitely one click this one right away. Both characters have their flaws but they are also strong and confident. Their age gap works well and their chemistry is off the charts.
I love Fiona Cole and all her writing. How she tells a story and how she makes us fall in love with her characters and love itself!! I enjoyed Liar in her newsletters and loved re-reading it all together with extra in this book!
Kent and Olivia are everything- age gap and all!! I loved watching both of them grow in different ways together. How they needed each other and how they struggled to be together!!
This book brings all the characters I loved through the Voyeur books! Plus Olivia and Kent have unbelievable chemistry and steamy scenes and a real relationship!! I could read these characters all day long!!
When it comes to the Voyeur Universe I am OBSESSED and LIAR is nothing short of fantastic. I DEVOURED this book. Olivia and Kent’s story is beautifully addicting.
Liar can be read as a standalone, however, I HIGHLY recommend to read the previous books in the series because they will provide some secondary characters back story, plus they are amazing. If you’ve read Voyeur you know Olivia is Oaklyn’s best friend and Kent is Daniel’s business partner.
Olivia and Kent had an unforgettable one-night stand years ago and once again they come face to face in a rather unexpected setting. In need of an internship for college, Olivia starts working for Kent. Let the teasing and tension ensue!
Olivia and Kent’s chemistry is nothing short of kindle exploding HOT! These two are drawn to each other like moths to a flame. They know they shouldn’t, but you can only ignore attraction like theirs for so long. Their story isn’t just about the steam, there is a deep connection between these two that is truly beautiful. They drive each other, they motivate each other, even despite the age gap.
If forbidden age gap romances are your thing or you are in love with the Voyeur universe Liar is a MUST READ!
I can always count on Fiona Cole to write a book with hot, dirty and squirming in my seat sex with a clever storyline. Liar is a great, pleasurable, forbidden/age gap romance. Kent’s an older man and playboy while Olivia is a younger college student who also happens to be the niece of Kent’s best friend. What started out as a one night stand grew into something passionate, entertaining and amazing. Their chemistry was beyond explosive, Ms. Cole did an excellent job with their character growth and along with their story, it was so much more than I anticipated. I love all the books in the Voyeur series, Liar is no exception and it’s a definite must read!!
Love this book! I felt like I waited forever to read Kent & Olivia’s story!
Age gap.
Heat.
Sweetness.
Phenomenal plot
This story is a roller coaster of awesomeness.
Highly recommend
Fiona Cole
Liar by Fiona Cole was a dirty, sexy, filthy, emotional and forbidden treat for me. Every kind of fantasy will be fulfilled in this story along with the emotional attack on your heart. Fiona Cole is the queen of taboo and intense romance. And Liar is everything that makes a story enticing, sensual, captivating and special.
Olivia had the most illicit encounter in the exclusive sex club Voyeur run by his uncle Daniel. And that scintillating encounter with a much older man has left a mark in her heart. She could not forget it even when her plate is full with her studies. And one day she meets the stranger in her home. And he turns out to be her uncle’s best friend and business partner Alexander Kent. And also soon to be her boss while she does her internship project in his new hotel under construction. Their relation crosses so many limits. Age gap. Co worker in a sense. Best friend’s niece. But passion and attraction flows between them. And it cannot be ignored. And so starts the tale of pure dark ecstasy. But soon it becomes so much more.
The chemistry in this story is explosive. Just fanfreakingtastic. Olivia and Kent set the pages on fire every single time. The foreplay that teases and twists and turns on. The crazy dirty talk is some of the best I have ever read. And every scene is like a feast of body, heart and soul. Do not dare to read it in public place or in presence of any one basically. I bet you won’t ve able to hide your own reactions at all the right places. The forbidden thrill made it even more delicious. And the author was pretty innovative in finding new places and new circumstances for them to have sex. It also has a distinct BDSM edge that made me pant and sigh and fan myself almost constantly. Kent was exactly how I like my older men. Dominating, controlling, protective, confident bordering on arrogant, just the right kind of cruel and overall ultimate alpha man. And Olivia matched him all the time. This sassy, sweet and smart girl teased him and pushed him and allured him with her boldness. But she also had the vulnerabilities of a young woman who is still discovering herself and not sure about self worth. And that actually brought the angsty and heartbreaking element of the story. Olivia’s hesitation to disclose their relationship comes from her fear of losing the only other person who really sees her. And that broke Kent’s heart. I was dying from the anguish and drama of their heartache. Because Fiona Cole made me feel how deep, undeniably strong and necessary is their connection. That goes beyond physical craving and sexual intimacy. That begins from their ability to understand and complete each other like no one else!
Liar by Fiona Cole was a perfect balance of every single thing I look for in a great contemporary romance. I went through the complete range of emotions from swoony to steamy to angsty to dark to witty. The writing was impeccable. Olivia and Kent made me fall in love and lust so fast. Truly, completely and irrevocably!
Received ARC for Honest review
OMG! I loved this story when it came in our newsletters, but with the extra content? I love love love it! I loved Olivia she was brash and confident. She fell in love with him and the his business. It was like we could see her future. Kent tried so hard to push back, but she wasn’t having it. He couldn’t do it long either. He saw her, and couldn’t help but fall in love. I want more of them! I want a few years in the future with babies!
I love this author! She has a way of telling the story that you can’t help but fall in love with the characters. I fall in love with the whole cast. So, knowing we are getting Daniel’s story too!
And we’re off, first read of 2020 done!
Liar is the latest installment to the “Voyeur” series.
Although you could read this as a stand alone, I highly recommend that you read all the previous books
Voyeur
Lovers
Savior
Another as characters interact between all books, and as the books are based around Club Voyeur, you get all the background reading from the beginning.
You can even read a prequel to Liar on Fiona’s website http://authorfionacole.com/watch-with-me/ which gives are great introduction to Kent and Olivia hot introduction!
Really recommend reading this!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, absolutely loved Kent’s character, a man very much in control when it comes to what he wants in the bedroom. He knows what he wants and he knows some dirty talk I’ll tell ya
Olivia was a feisty character. Despite her socialite appearances, she wanted to aspire to more in life. Later on in the book, she did become more doubtful, which slightly frustrated me, but I could also understand her doubts because due to being alot younger. Luckily it was her best friend Oaklyn (main heroine from Voyeur) that knocked some sense into her….
….”You’re better than this. You’re stronger than this. You’re smarter than this………. The only person who thinks less of you is you. So, be honest with yourself. If you want to feel sorry for yourself, feel sorry for yourself about the right thing.”……
The secondary characters are so good in this series and as I mentioned above they interact with each other so well. I can’t wait to finally read Daniels story, the seed has been set, so we will finally become more acquainted with dashing Daniel later this year.
Another wonderful read from Fiona, I feel each book in this series is getting better and better. Love her writing so much, and she can certainly write some love scenes!

I absolutely adore Fiona’s stories! They each bring a sense of taboo and steam that just burns! Slow burns for some but this one was hot from the get go! She nailed it! The characters were intense and their chemistry was over the top! I loved this one hard! Getting to see previous book characters was a definite plus as well. Cole definitely brought my 2020 in with a bang and then some!
These Voyeur stories keep getting better and better and steamier and steamier. Kent and Olivia have a chance meeting at Voyeur. Kent has issues when it comes to relationships but knows exactly what he wants in bed. While he may have given Olivia a taste when they first met, he knows there is no way possible that his best friend’s niece is ready for how Kent likes it between the sheets. Olivia has sworn off relationships and only wants to have fun. Doesn’t matter how old Kent is, he gives her what she wants…until he wants more. Is Olivia ready to bite that bullet, chance disappointing her family? Only one way to find out…read the book. And keep supplies nearby, this is definitely a one-hander.
Holy cannoli! When we first got this as a few chapters in her newsletter every month i was hooked from ch 1. And now she’s made it into a full novel and i am soooooo not disappointed. KENT IS HOTTTTT! And lordyyyy he was fantastic to read. I loved Olivia. Despite the age gap and taboo nature of their relationship they push forward. It was such a good and hot read. I really enjoyed going back in the voyeur world. So good. So glad it was continued into a full book.
