He was my uncle’s friend, and I was too young for him. But in the heat of the moment, against the wall in a darkened hallway of an illicit club, none of those things mattered. It was just one night of giving in to what we both wanted. I never expected to see him two years later, sitting across me during a family dinner, encouraging me to do my internship for his business. On day one we both agree …
On day one we both agree that repeating that night would be a mistake. But it’s a mistake we can’t help but make again and again.
The rules are simple. We can’t tell my uncle. We have to be content with our hotel rendezvous. And we won’t fall in love.
But we both know we’re liars.

THIS is age gap, a-little-taboo romance done right!!
Olivia is a college student with a serious case of ennui. Nothing excites her. Not her classes, not her project, not her (not really) friend with benefits. But when discussing the upcoming class project with her family one evening, they suggest working with Kent, her uncle’s best friend, at his hotel currently under construction. Kent, the one thing in her life that does excite her.
Kent knows he should stay away from Olivia. He sees no good way to get out of helping her with the project, so he agrees. But he doesn’t want to settle down. He doesn’t think she can handle what he wants. And he really doesn’t want to lie to his best friend.
I love this series and (truthfully) all of Fiona Cole’s books. Each one just gets me excited for the next one. Spoiler Alert: Can’t wait for Daniel’s book next. I bet he’s the dirtiest guy she’s written (writing about?) yet!!!
4.5 stars for – Liar – by Fiona Cole. This book is part of the Voyuer world but it can be read as a complete standalone with little to no spoilers. This is a age gap romance that is so hot you may need a fan.
Olivia went to Voyuer looking for an experience she will never forget and boy did she ever find it. Now everyone pales in comparison to Kent – the man who made her body soar. He did things to her she never thought she would want let alone crave but in the morning after all is said and done all he left her was a note goodbye.
Alexander Kent is a successful hotel developer that co-owns Voyeur with his best friend. He chooses to keep his sexual relationships casual so when he meets an enchanting younger woman at his kink club he gives them both what they want and thinks nothing more will come of it. Little does Kent know his past will be coming back at dinner with his friend’s family.
This was an intense, steamy read that sucked you right in from the start. If you like a dirty talking, alpha man who is not afraid to put you over his knee then I highly recommend you read this one today!
Another hot steamy read in the ‘Voyeur’ series and its one you don’t want to miss.
This book is perfect and achieves everything I love, age gap, forbidden and a hot as sin hero who is so naughty I want to make him mine! Kent is here and he’s brought a furnace of fire with him!
Kent and Olivia shared a one night only romp at Voyeur never thinking they would cross paths again. Until they meet across the dinner table at Olivia’s parent’s house. The immediate attraction is there but Kent being a little wiser reminds her that they cannot happen due to him being best friends with her uncle who she is extremely close to. Olivia isn’t one to be deterred from getting what she wants and when she interns for him she sets her sights on a repeat. And a repeat they have!
I loved Kent’s character and how he fell for Olivia. He was sweet, caring and was all in from very early on knowing his feelings for her. If only Olivia got there quicker, but the angst Cole created while they fought for their HEA gutted me and I couldn’t look away.
This is one hot steamy story that will have you devouring the book and loving their story. I loved this book and loved this couple. Kent is my new favourite! Looking forward to Daniel next!

4.5 stars. I loved everything about this book- forbidden, age gap, and smoking hot. Kent and Olivia’s story was amazing and I couldn’t put it down.
Another home-run-read by Fiona Cole with the latest installment in the Voyeur series. If age gap and forbidden romance are your thing, this book is guaranteed to hit all the right spots. Great characters, steamy scenes, and more glimpses into the larger world Ms Cole has created. You’ll love Olivia and Kent’s banter, their chemistry and, ultimately, their ending.
I love this series!!!
This time we find ourselves with Daniel’s niece Olivia and his best friend Kent (Alexander). An age gap romance with so much steam they’re just irresistible.
Kent in a million years would never have thought, someone like Olivia would be able to give him all the feels. Feelings his never experience with any other women.
Olivia has been hurt in the past and has build a wall when it comes to men and relationships. She sees Kent as someone she can enjoy her time with, nothing serious. Until she starts feeling it and is caught with a difficult situation. A situation that can ruin her love for Kent.
*I would have liked for Olivia to have met Kent’s parents. Especially his mom.. that scene was placed in the book and I was hoping it would have been extended at least into the epilogue.*
This was a great forbidden, age-gap romance! It had a great plot and was well written. There is a definite difference to erotic romances that have no real story versus ones that do, and this definitely was the latter. Kent and Olivia were great together and their relationship progressed throughout the novel. I loved seeing them grow to love each other and deal with their feelings.
Liar was certainly a forbidden treat!! It was a HOT and SPICY read. My favorite parts had to have been when Kent and Olivia were being cute and silly. I loved those two!!! Even though Olivia was only half his age, she definitely held her own. I’m so ready for Daniel’s book next!!!
Steamy, and Intense!!!!
This is the story of Kent, and Olivia, and although this book is a standalone, you may benefit from reading the previous books from this world. I also highly recommend reading the prequel Watch with Me. Kent, and Olivia have a steamy encounter, which shortly after, they become aware that Olivia’s, Uncle Daniel, is Kent’s best friend. When they are thrown together again a few years later, they can’t deny the attraction long, and start a secret affair. But secrets don’t stay secrets forever, can Daniel accept their forbidden relationship. This was an amazing read, the characters are well written, and their chemistry exploded off the pages. I loved reading Kent, and Olivia’s journey together, this book was intense, dramatic, passionate, sexy, taboo, and highly entertaining. This is a must read!!!
OHMYGLOB! How I’ve missed this women’s writing! Only Fiona Cole can make you sweat as hard as you swoon because of her alphas.
Olivia and Kent’s story is what every smut lover wants and needs! Throw in Fiona’s impeccable writing and you have the dirtiest book I’ve read in 2020 thus far!
Something about the fact that the main characters have a past as the book starts just makes everything that much more riveting and heightened. Kent is the sexy alpha of our dreams and Olivia is the diva everyone loves.
One click this book right meow if you’re in the mood for Fiona’s greatness.
I wanted to love this one, as I love this author’s other stories, but it just didn’t live up to my expectations. It’s hot, like over-the-top scorching sex scenes, but missed the mark everywhere else.
From the very beginning I was trying to play catch up and place where I’d met Olivia and Kent and how they knew each other. Then when I was finished, I went back and read the free prequel, “Watch With Me”, and aaalll of it fell into place. Why not just put the prequel in the book as a prologue? Would have made way more sense and added such a better connection between Kent and Olivia.
Olivia irritated me with the way she was always teasing Kent. Always. Kent was a more likeable main character for me, but I also didn’t completely swoon over him. There was just something between them that was missing to make the ILY feel real.
The story is pretty much explosive sex scenes with fillers of instant hard-ons and OM drama with A-a-ron. My favorite part (totally predictable, btw) was when Daniel walked in on them. I was like, YES!!! It’s about time!
I love coming back to the Voyeur world. This time with Kent and Olivia. Their story is steamy and forbidden. I absolutely loved Olivia, even when I got annoyed with her. I understood why she did, or didn’t do in this case. Olivia’s a character that I saw part of myself in. I also loved the way she teased and challenged Kent. It was fun to watch him squirm a little bit. Oh, Kent… Dirty talking Kent. I liked him. Olivia and Kent were right for one another, even with the age difference. Sometimes I forgot of the age gap. One thing I probably would have liked is a bit more deeper connection between Olivia and Kent.
The friendships and the relationship between Olivia and her uncle Daniel were amazing. It was great seeing Oaklyn. I forgot how funny she is, and she was very good to Olivia. Oh, Daniel. I wished I had someone like him in my life when I was Olivia’s age. Heck, even today.
Liar is low angst, a sexy, forbidden romance between a young woman and her uncle’s best friend. There are cameos of a few characters from the previous books. I can’t wait to read Daniel’s. I’m hoping to see more of Daniel and Kent’s bromance.
4.5
I enjoyed this book very much. The writing, the story and characters are well written and well developed. I loved Fiona’s books and I can’t wait for more. This book went above and beyond my expectations.
I voluntarily read this as an advanced readers copy
Liar was my first read of 2020 and was THE perfect way to start off the year! This book kicked my year off with a major bang. 😉
I have been DYING for Olivia and Kent’s story since reading the prequel on FB and let me just tell you all, the wait was SO worth it!
Liar is steamy, sweet, funny and did I say steamy? If anyone knows how to turn up the heat, it’s Fiona Cole. You can always count on her books to be hot AF but what I love about her stories isn’t the fact that they’re hot. Although, that is a major plus side. I love the fact that Cole’s stories are emotional and really pull you in and make you get invested in her characters and their story.
I’m not gonna lie, there were times I wanted to smack Olivia on the back of the head, but I understood why she did what she did, but it hurt Kent and I didn’t like that one bit. *Sobs* If only I could console the poor guy. I gladly would have volunteered. You’ll understand why once you meet him. 😉
I knew Kent was sexy from the prequel but boy did he surprise me in the best way. *fans myself just thinking about it* Kent is a sexy AF alpha male who will swoop you off your feet and make you fall for him head over heels. I know I fell hard for him and am not the least bit sorry. Now if only he was real so I could steal him from Olivia. I wish! He is a silver fox I want in my life. Anyway, I digress, but can you blame me with a silver fox like Kent? 😛
In the end, everything worked out for the best and I swooned SO hard for Kent. No surprise there.
I highly recommend Liar and its prequel, Watch With Me, to anyone who loves a good romance with an alpha male with a soft side who will leave you breathless.
4.5 stars!
A sexy, steamy, forbidden, angst filled story!! And I loved every single moment. I absolutely loved Kent & Olivia from the very beginning and that love only grew as the story progressed. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.
Fiona Cole never disappoints, Liar had me hooked from the first page. Fiona first released this book in her newsletter, due to school I missed them so when she announced she was taking it out in a book I was over the moon.
Olivia and Kent were everything, these two fell in love without even expecting it. They have a chemistry that will leave you wanting more, the only problem is that not only is Kent her Uncle’s best friend, but he’s way older than her. These two had already met and had one unforgettable night, so when they see each other again, their feelings and strong tension make it impossible for these two to ignore each other.
I loved this book so much, I loved Kent and Olivia. This is a book that will leave you so in love with the main characters and wanting so much more. Truly, a MUST READ.
This book was hot as sin! The chemistry between Kent and Olivia was off the charts! The problem? Kent was 17 years older and his best friend is Olivia’s uncle who is also the only person who doesn’t treat her like a spoiled and dumb little girl. Will these two realize what they have is worth more than anything? Hopefully sooner rather than later!
Another devilishly dirty and delicious installment in the Voyeur series.
This installment is really not a standalone, and I felt that reading the the prior books helped me better understand some of the character development.
A sensual one night stand seemed benign enough but how they saw each other again and what happened…well that was an unputdownable situation!
Kent and Olivia’s story was told in dual POV, which I really enjoyed and the tabooish aspect of the story was hot, kinky, and just fun to read.
There was an aspect of the read that felt somewhat unrealistic, but it didn’t take away from enjoying the story.
DENISE’S DREAMY REVIEW
Everyone who knows me KNOWS that I LOVE age gap, forbidden romances and Fiona Cole really didn’t disappoint with this one! Liar is a full length novel which is part of Fiona Cole’s Voyeur world, in which I’ve been SO obsessed with!!
Liar follows Alexander Kent and Olivia Witt and some time after their night at Voyeur, which is a FREE novella called, Watch with Me! Everything about these two screams forbidden romance and add in that Olivia is the niece of Kent’s best friend, I. WAS. ALL. OVER. IT.
Cold delivers with a FUCK load of sinfully hot, HOT, HOT steam with some angst and characters alongside side characters (from previous books in the series) that you’ll ABSOLUTELY love!!
Kent has such a filthy, hot af mouth and oozes such dominance while Olivia has a seductive, sweet, and sassy side that she’s uses over Kent, and he just can’t seem to get enough!! I absolutely loved their growth, their push and pull, their struggles, and how deeply they were embedded with one another!!
Liar and the entire Voyeur series is EXACTLY why Fiona Cole is one of my go-to, one-click, unicorn authors! She always knows how to bring intense, sensual, and steamy romance with the right amount of angst, tension, and drama!
Five dreamy stars:
talk about STEAM!! I’m not usually a huge fan of age-gap romance but Fiona Cole broke that mold. So much heat, all the feels, and a good storyline!! Highly recommend.
