He was my uncle’s friend, and I was too young for him. But in the heat of the moment, against the wall in a darkened hallway of an illicit club, none of those things mattered. It was just one night of giving in to what we both wanted. I never expected to see him two years later, sitting across me during a family dinner, encouraging me to do my internship for his business. On day one we both agree …
On day one we both agree that repeating that night would be a mistake. But it’s a mistake we can’t help but make again and again.
The rules are simple. We can’t tell my uncle. We have to be content with our hotel rendezvous. And we won’t fall in love.
But we both know we’re liars.

Love, love, love!! Olivia and Kent’s story was worth the wait, and oh-so-steamy to boot. Not going to lie, I kept groaning at Olivia’s insecurity, but that’s growing up. Great tension in the story, hot moments, and an HEA… I can definitely see this being a re-read!
This was a scorching age gap, forbidden romance. These characters had explosive chemistry. This story was so well written. Fiona Cole is a master at her craft. Each book is better than the last. I could not put this book down and I did not want it to end. You need to read this book!!!
~ Books & Magic Shop Reviews ~
Fiona Cole’s taboo will forever have a special place in my heart for what it puts me through while reading. I freaking LOVE her books and LIAR was nowhere near a let down. It surpassed every expectation and emotion I could’ve ever assumed would go through me.
Her characters are captivating!! Just literally so easy to get lost in them for hours without even realizing. I’m still a little weird about taboo and age-gap even though I’ve read so many that do it well. Fiona Cole is just one of those authors I know who writes what they write and I will literally donate a piece of my soul to get this book in my hands.
You’re going to love Kent and Olivia as well as their story. Daniel also became a very special character to me and I can’t wait to see more about what happens with him in the future!!
5 just soooooo easy stars!!
This book is probably my favourite book in the Voyeur series and it’s mostly because of the loveable characters, like Kent, Olivia and Daniel! Kent is probably my favourite male in the series because he is so hot, dominant, alpha, possessive and loyal, GAH! His relationship with Olivia is so steamy and so cute, I was rooting for them throughout the book. And it’s also made me even more excited for Teacher because this book alone (and it’s not even his book) made me fall in love with Daniel! SOOO excited and I highly recommend this book!!
When I first started reading romance in English. Liar was the first books I’ve read but the last couple of days I’ve been listening to the audiobook. The audiobook makes the story better, more intense, more emotional, more steamy…
Olivia is the perfect heroine, strong, independent, playful, she knows what she wants and goes for it.
Daniel is hot and everything he does is sexy. I love him!
I’ve been in a forbidden relationship. I know how it feels to want someone who you can’t have because he is older. I know how it feels to seduce someone who you shouldn’t, the thrill of the forbidden and the excruciating pain when everything falls apart.
I know all the emotions, and I have to say Fiona Cole did an amazing job describing it.
Every step of the way I’ve rooted for Olivia and Daniel and my heart ached for them.
Daniel is very dominant in the bedroom, and Olivia loves it. The sex scènes were extremely hot and steamy.
Fiona Cole is one of my favourite authors. I like her books but I also like her posts on Instagram, she is hilarious. I love all the books in the voyeur series but Liar, Olivia and Daniel, have a special place in my heart.
One word: HOT. This is an age-gap romance but these two makes the years difference between them mean nothing. Prior to the book, Olivia had a one-night-stand with Kent and guess what her reaction was when she sees him at her family’s dinner party. The chemistry between the two burns through the pages and a it is just so fucking steamy. I was just addicted to the book and couldn’t but it down. Kent and Olivia’s story is the 5 book in the series and I CANT WAIT FOR TEAHCER, Daniel’s book. I can’t believe this series is going to end. Will forever be one of my fav series ever.
Wow! Kent and Olivia are HOT! This was my first Fiona read and I was so happy with her writing I became and instant fan. I love a good forbidden romance, this delivered on all counts. Kent is a businessman in his late thirties who has gone through life crushing the buinsess game and having a willing woman in his bed whenever he pleases. He is a co-owner of a club with his best friend, this club being somewhere you can go and freely express your sexual desires. Sounds hot right? Well it is! Kent and Olivia meet there but they are also tired together by Daniel, Olivia’s Uncle and Kent’s friend and business partner. Sounds complicated? It is! The chemistry between Liv and Kent is ridiculously steamy. So many good forbidden scenes. They are so sweet together too which is always a major plus. It’s wonderful to see Kent falling for Olivia, Turing his back on the “player” he’s known to be. Again I think this story hit all the romance boxes and was a great addition to the Voyeur series. Fiona is truly a talented writer!
Fiona Cole definitely knows how to write a hot, emotional, forbidden love story, and this one does not disappoint!! I loved everything about this book: uncle’s best friend, the age gap, the secret relationship, the love and connection that Olivia and Kent has for each other.. all of it was AMAZING! And the sexy scenes set my kindle on fire!
Olivia and Kent had a one night stand at Voyeur over a year ago, and although she hasn’t seen him since, that night is never far from her mind. Olivia is a college student that needs to find an internship so she can present a mock business presentation to her professor, but nothing is intriguing her. When she shows up to dinner at her parents house one night, and sees the man she can’t get out of her head, everything falls into place.
Kent is Daniel’s best friend (Olivia’s uncle) and is not at all prepared to see her again, especially around her family. When the subject of her needing an internship is brought up, Daniel suggests that she interns for Kent at his hotel, and thus begins the HOT, intense, will-they-won’t-they. Neither of them expected to fall in love, and with each of them being burned by past relationships, I loved how even though they initially fought their feelings for each other.. They just couldn’t.
This is one of the best age gap romances! I love how this author pulls the intense emotions out of her readers, and I was in tears hoping these two would be able to get it together and just be with one another. The ending was beyond perfect, and these two are my favorite Voyuer couple so far!!!
**I I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
This is one of my favorite taboo books. They are truly drawn together and pulled apart. The steamy sex is naughty and nice. Do they let family and friendship ruin what they have? Thank goodness for taboo
I want to write a review that will do this read justice, but all that comes to mind are hungry sound effects cause Olivia and Kent are just so effin’ yummy! This read hits all the “right” buttons for me, between the “tabooness” of their age gape and the “forbideness” of the uncle’s best friend/business partner… It was a version of my catnip.
From the moment Jackson sneaks Olivia into Voyeur, you know nothing but sexy goodness will come from it. Enter one older, dirty, alpha Kent, and be prepared to have your socked melted off. He is walking sex on a stick, and boy do I want to lick that lollipop! The way he dominates one sassy Olivia, making her submit while also building her up to be the true woman she is… *swoon* Like I said, catnip! The sneaking around adds to the tantalizing web Fiona is weaving, drawing you into the the story and finishing you off. She really shows the differences in their lives, where in one aspect you get Olivia’s fear of opening up to her uncle then you get Kent’s no nonsense attitude, but in the end they are a perfect blend of an addicting concoction.
I have been hooked to this series since Oaklyn and Callum’s story in Voyeur. I know that each book will push the limits and boundaries of what is considered the “Norm”, watching each character’s lives entwine with each other is just perfection. I devour everyone that has come out since, and Liar is no different! If you have been following this world, make sure you don’t miss out on Kent and Olivia’s story.
I am new to Fiona Coles’s books. But I am a fan. I love her writing.
This book was a sexy age gap read. Kent is an alpha dirty talker who tries to do what’s best. But Olivia doesn’t make it easy for him. I could not put this book down. It gave me butterflies, goosebumps and made my toes curl. I can’t wait to read more of this series. And Cole’s books.
Liar is the newest addition to this stand alone, interconnected series and it’s an age-gap, forbidden romance.
Diving into the book, I didn’t know that there was a prequel about their first meeting, so I would highly suggest for everyone to read it before this one. In my opinion, it’s vital because it will show you the connection between characters, which was in Liar, I was kind of missing. I felt, in my opinion, that this book is like the continuation already of their love story.
I was all kinds of intrigue before reading it. I love forbidden/ taboo romances, and Liar ticked off the requirements for me. After reading it though, I’d say that it contained all the factors of the trope – the secrets, steamy scenes, the angst; the writing is great; the build up to the revelation was fine too. I’m really struggling to write this review. Maybe it was all just me. Was it bad? No, not really. Will I re-read it? I’m not sure though.
Overall, this was a good addition to the series and still recommend it to those who love this trope.
Liar is the sexy forbidden age gap romance that we couldn’t wait to indulge in. It had all the makings of a passionate love affair, characters that were lovable but still had flaws of their own, and a solid plot that would make you want to read more despite being frustrated at times.
Tw years ago Olivia had a one night stand with an older man that rocked her to her core. Now a twenty one year old College student, she often thinks about that night and knows that nothing will ever compare to what she experienced a few years. But if it’s just the memories she can hold on to and let it leave a smile on her face, she’ll gladly take it while trying to navigate her own life and future career. While at a family dinner, her whole world becomes halted when the man who has haunted her sexual dreams in now standing in her parents living room as a dinner guest! And not just any guest, he’s her uncle’s best friend.
Running a company is hard work. Opening two more hotels is a stress nightmare but for a man like Alexander Kent, this is his normal and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Having one night stands every now and then to de stress is the only intimacy Kent can afford at the moment and nothing is going to change that. That is until a young blonde walked in and ruined him two years ago and little does he know, she’s about to do it all over again.
I have to say that I really liked Kent. He had this charm and aura about him that made you feel safe and wanted but at the same time had your body burning with need!! I loved his protectiveness and he knew exactly what he wanted in life and left little room for unnecessary things. The issue that I had with this story was that I truly felt like I was missing something and I didn’t get the connection between some of the characters and their dynamics. I also hated the conflict towards the end and I wanted Olivia to have a stronger back bone. If those two things didn’t occur, I would have really fallen in love with this one because I really like this author’s writing.
If you’re a fan of forbidden romance or you’re familiar with the Voyeur world, then I think you’ll enjoy this one.
*Arc received for an honest review
Hot. Steam. Forbidden. Fiona Cole’s LIAR is what you absolutely need to read this year!
Willing Bodies and Reluctant Hearts
Liar by Fiona Cole is a sexy, dirty forbidden treat! I devoured this book. The sexual tension, the teasing dialogue, the filthy talking hero, and the feisty heroine…oh my! This is age gap romance done right. You can feel every exchange between Kent and Olivia, both emotional and physical. Kent is a man that knows what he wants and won’t be denied, even by himself. These two will engulf you in their friction and pleasure and you’ll go down willingly. Passion and adoration and conflicting desires combine for one h*all of a love story!
Fiona Cole knows how to write erotica cause holy moly did I enjoy Olivia and Kent in Liar. Their chemistry is off the charts blazing hot right from the get go. A delicious and sensual age gap romance that starts off as a one night only and turns in to them teasing each other and wanting more. More one another and more of how the make each other feel.
Olivia is a nineteen year old girl who’s had enough of her cheating boyfriend. She wants a man who’s experienced sexually and knows how to use it. Kent is 38 and has certain tastes when it comes to sex and Olivia is not afraid to try them.
Together they slowly starts to see that this sexual relationship is more than just that. They evolve into more but with that comes fear. Fear of what people will think. Olivia and Kent try to navigate through those struggles. I had such a good time with them. Their scenes are deliciously erotic and held emotions too despite it being rough at times. These two characters surprised me with their strength and hidden layers to their personality. Definitely my favorite from the Voyeur series.
4 Tease Me Stars
Oh Holy Hell! Fiona Cole has done it again! I need a cold shower after reading Liar!
Kent and Olivia’s story is hot, sexy. forbidden, and full of passion. I loved everything about Liar! But it wasn’t just steamy scenes. It had story, a really amazing story that I did not want to end but could not read fast enough but never wanted to end. I could not get enough of their amazing, forbidden romance.
I’m not sure Fiona Cole can do wrong when it comes to this series! Each and everyone is better than the last. And Liar is definitely my favorite to date. I absolutely love everything about Kent and Olivia! I love the love they have for each other and the passion they have no issues with showing each other. I understood and also hated Olivia’s view on keeping them secret.
I don’t know what to say other than I absolutely loved this book and needed more of them! Olivia and Kent’s story was perfectly written, had an amazing plot, and characters that added so much to the story. I need more of Fiona Cole’s word now!
Liar by Fiona Cole is the fifth book in the Voyeur series, but the first I am reading, however, I am definitely going back and reading the prior books now. Liar was steamy and full of angst. It checked of a lot of what I love in a forbidden romance! Kent and Olivia have an age gap not many would understand, a best friend and family connection and steamy and hot chemistry.
Olivia is in need of an internship and finds herself working with Kent, her uncle’s much older best friend. But they have history that neither can forget, can they keep things professional? Not when you share chemistry like they did! Liar by Fiona Cole was a hot and steamy forbidden age-gap romance!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
How I love some naughty taboo and Fiona always delivers. Kent and Olivia lived up to everything I expected. This is a sexy age gap romance and it is smoking hot. A one night stand that had never been forgotten. An unexpected meeting years later with the one man she has dreamed about puts them both on a collision course of lust and love. I really enjoyed their story and how it evolved into a solid love despite all the obstacles in their way. Another good story in this passionate series.
Age gap romance, my favorite.
Fiona Cole did not disappoint with Liar, Kent and Olivia story is hot, forbidden, taboo.
They where definitely made for each other, their chemistry, I just loved their interactions in an out of the bed.
Another great read from Fiona Cole, highly recommend this age gap, forbidden treat!
