He was my uncle’s friend, and I was too young for him. But in the heat of the moment, against the wall in a darkened hallway of an illicit club, none of those things mattered. It was just one night of giving in to what we both wanted. I never expected to see him two years later, sitting across me during a family dinner, encouraging me to do my internship for his business. On day one we both agree …
On day one we both agree that repeating that night would be a mistake. But it’s a mistake we can’t help but make again and again.
The rules are simple. We can’t tell my uncle. We have to be content with our hotel rendezvous. And we won’t fall in love.
But we both know we’re liars.

Whew! Have a fan and ice water ready for this scorcher of a book! I am not usually one to read series books out of order, but someone recommended this to me and I decided to give it a shot. I’m glad I did! This was a light but scorching hot read, and I look forward to checking out the rest in the series!
Kent and Olivia had some serious chemistry and were so hot together. The age gap totally worked in this book. Neither go into this wanting an attachment to each other but they also can’t avoid it. I love the voyeur world and cannot wait for Daniel’s story.
Age-gap erotic romance, check…
Feisty flirty heroine, check…
Deliciously dirty hero, check…
LIAR checks off ALL the must read boxes for me. Fiona Cole once again delivers a sexy tale with a touch of taboo and a whole lot of heat! What a way to start the year!
Kent and Olivia caught my attention in previous Voyeur books, and I was ecstatic to see their story released. They are a perfect match, though not an obvious one. This couple has more than one hurdle to clear on their journey, and WOW, what a hot and steamy journey it is!!
I love a great age gap romance and Fiona Cole sure can write a good one. Kent and Olivia are perfect for one another even with the age difference.
These 2 may have a huge age difference but it is just a number and you can’t help who you fall in love with. Yeah they have their ups and downs and what relationship doesn’t. But when fear happens of what may come, it can either make or break it for these 2.
I have loved each of Fiona’s books and will be sad when this seies ends. I would highly suggest you read each of these as they can be standalones, but they are all interconnected and all are exceptional with each story
This is the fifth book in the Voyeur Series. I loved it! Kent and Olivia’s forbidden romance is beautifully written, emotional, sensual, and steamy. This is a great age gap romance. If you like forbidden romance, this one is for you. Brian Pallino and Ava Erickson did a great job with the narration.
Liar
Voyeur #5
By: Fiona Cole
Narrated by: Ava Erickson, Brian Pallino
Taboo is one of my favorite tropes, and who better to bring it than Fiona Cole? Age Gap, Uncle’s best friend, boss, it can’t get better than this, and Cole gives us a steamy couple, written in a way that makes you root for the the couple! Kent and Olivia met one night in Voyeur. Little did they know their paths would cross again, and their explosive chemistry would turn into love! When Olivia comes home for a family dinner and sees Kent sitting at the table, she is taken by surprise! She accepts an internship with his company and the two are in constant contact. Will they be able to resist? And how will the family take it? So much emotion packed into this one, it’s fast paced and exciting! Olivia may be young, but she knows what she wants. Her boldness is scary at times, and other times I found her slightly frustrating. Kent is cautious, but oh so swoony. I was on their side from the start! Smartly written with characters we know, the story is hot, passionate and romantic. I love this series and this book is fantastic!
Ava Erickson and Brian Pallino are the perfect fit for these two. Ava has a young voice, and she melds right into Olivia. She has a fearlessness that is unbounded at times, and Ava captures her essence flawlessly. Pallino is Kent. Hesitant, seductive, alpha, he encompasses all the traits and creates an amazing personality for Kent. These two are fabulous together and its a great listen.

If you like your romances forbidden with a hefty age age, a lot of sneaking around and a dose of angst, then Liar might be for you. This was a quick read and although I think Olvia showed her youth quite a lot with her behaviour, I enjoyed this a lot. The tension, the connection the dirty talk, all wins for me. I’m glad I persevered and finished this series. I recommend it if you like your romances hot and dark
In Liar we are introduced to Olivia Witt and Alexander Kent. Olivia is a college student. A twenty-one-year-old college student. Alexander is a friend of her uncles. A thirty-eight-year old friend.
In all the tears that her uncle came over for dinner with Alexander not once did Olivia meet her uncles best friend. Yet, they managed to hook-up at Voyeur one night two years ago. Here they sit across from each other pretending to have met for the first time in front of her parents and uncle.
She’s a business major in her junior year and needs an internship fir a project. During dinner her parents suggest she work for Alexander since he’s opening a new hotel. As they work together they tiptoe around the burning desire for each other by blowing off steam with inconsequential hookups. Eventually, the flirting paid off and they had sex. They kept things on the down-low for the sake of her relationship with her uncle.
Liar is book 5 in the Voyeur series. You don’t have to read the other books in the series to read Liar. A few characters from the previous books are mentioned but it still reads as a standalone. Liar is a forbidden age-romance between an older guy and younger girl. Alexander Kent happens to be Olivia’s uncle’s friend and business associate.
Im not opposed to reading age-gap storyline’s, yet this one wasn’t what I expected. I just couldn’t form that connection. What they had was graphically physical to the point of being too much. Yes I said it. There was too much sex.
There was dirty talk, There was bondage, There were toys, There was messy spooge shots, and there was anal. Fiona drive the point home that Alexander found his match in a younger girl. That’s the problem. The relationship wasn’t about the age-gap as much as it was the need for kinky sex. That’s the part that confused me considering he owned half of Voyeur a sex club where any and all fantasies were fair play in a safe environment. I have a difficult time believing Alexander couldn’t find someone to match his needs for kink in that club.
The problem with sex play is the lack of emotional connection between two characters it’s more about a physical need. That’s the problem for me. I want to connect with the characters on a deeper level. Fiona writes on a superficial level not delving deep into the emotional connection.
It’s an okay story. It’s easy to read. It’s a sexually driven story.
I am in FLOVE with the Voyeur series books!!!
All are stand-alones (at least the ones I have read so far), and each one is just as amazing as the last!!
Kent and Olivia’s story is no exception!!
Chemistry, a newly built hotel, and and an alpha-male??
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG??!
This story is beautiful. Kent and Olivia had so many obstacles to overcome and they chose to overcome all of them and got their hard earned happy ending.
Liar is awesome… it will take your breath away. An age gap romance and so much more, the writing, plot and dialogue is superb. I loved the angst, emotion and undeniable love and devotion between KENT AND OLIVIA. Fiona’s writing style will keep you captivated from the beginning.
Age-gap, uncle’s best friend, provocative. If those words caught your attention, then read this book. Liar is book 5 in the Voyeur series and can be read as a standalone. These books all feature characters from the installments and are interconnected. If you read them out of order like I did, you’ll be just fine.
Alexander Kent is a flirt, a charmer, and oh so gorgeous. Being the owner of multiple establishments definitely has its perks. Especially for one night stands. Which is how he ends up in a situation with his best friend’s niece. This man is sexy and easy going, why would you want to hold off on building a future with him? The young and determined Olivia did for the sake of disappointing her family.
This story was so very tantalizing and I think Kent is my new favorite man that Fiona has written. I love everything about his character. Eager for more and always willing to please and live in the moment. My kind of book boyfriend! Olivia’s reluctance to telling the truth about their relationship drove me nuts, but it was well worth the read to get to their happy ending.
At Voyeur Olivia and Kent meet by chance and have an encounter at Voyeur that neither of them can forget. Olivia interns at a new hotel Kent is opening up and seeing each other everyday causes tension that neither of them can ignore.
I love a good forbidden book and this filled this spot! Everything about their romance was forbidden and it was in every action they took. Olivia and Kent were perfect together! They want a no strings relationship and in the end they got a lot more. Loved the story line and seeing more of Oaklyn and Callum. I liked how Olivia stood her ground with Kent and took more control of the relationship even though he was older.
4,5 liar stars
I have to say that I’ve been quite obsessed with the Voyeur series ever since VOYEUR (the first book) came out. Fiona Cole has soon become one of my faves at there. You all know by now that I love forbidden romances which made this book even more appealing to me. Olivia is the niece of Kent’s best friend and it’s clear that despite their age difference they share an incredible chemistry. I was captivating by their story from the very start.
Alexander Kent is sexy, commanding, successful, caring and possessive. He oozes power and doesn’t do commitments. Olivia is one sassy, beautiful, intelligent, tenacious woman. She knows what she wants and goes for it. She also likes to push Kent. A lot. He tries to deny his desire and attraction towards her, but soon can’t help but succumb to the temptation. I absolutely loved their relationship.
The explosive chemistry that exists between Kent and Olivia practically radiates from the pages. The attraction they share is scorching hot and undeniable. I loved seeing their relationship grow and become stronger. I truly couldn’t get enough and desperately want more of them already.
Overall, LIAR is a forbidden, emotional, sizzling, age-gap romance filled with the perfect amount of passion, angst tension and steamy scenes. AUTHOR has created a brilliant story that will draw you in from the first page and keep all of your attention up to the last sentence.
I highly recommend this book, and this series.
I didn’t think I’d like this trope but I was sucked in. This series is one I’m bingeing my way through. Seriously good. You need these books in your life!
Liar (Voyeur #5) is a sexy as sin, age gap read with a twist, and I loved it!
Kent and Olivia have so much chemistry, but she’s his best friends niece and as much as he wants her, he knows he can’t go there, but go there he does…
I highly recommend this brilliant series!
Excellent age gap, forbidden romance with sex-positive characters learning from mistakes. Excellent performances!!
4 STARS
Liar is the 5th book in Fiona Cole’s Voyeur Series. It is a sinfully sexy, flaming hot forbidden romance between Alexander Kent and Olivia. Olivia is the niece of Kent’s best friend Daniel which adds a completely forbidden element. I LOVED Kent! He is cocky and bossy in a sexy way. He takes charge in and out of the bedroom, but there was also a vulnerable sweet side to him too. Olivia was suffering from lack of self esteem in herself. Unfortunately this was off putting at times. She was in her own head a lot and it seemed like didn’t take Kent’s feelings into account and it was always about her and her Uncle’s reaction to finding out about them. I love how it all turned out in the end and cannot wait for Daniel’s story next in Teacher.
This series gets better with each new story! Kent and Olivia’s story will make you feel all warm inside. Just because he is older shouldn’t make any difference, except for Olivia, there is one person she doesn’t want to find out. Can these two defy the odds and make it work? I loved everything about these two. Just because Olivia is young, she’s also a smart, independent woman who goes after what she wants. And Kent is at a point in his life where he just wants to tell the world about them. These two have such incredible chemistry that you can feel it in your soul. I hoped throughout that they would end up together as they are perfect together. If you want to know how their story ends, then do yourself a favor and read this incredible book!!!
