Fake it until you make it. That was the mantra Cori Dash chanted as she chased a big city dream. The more you tell people you’re on top of the world, the more they believe it – just like they believed the embellished image she sold them with her knock off designer facade. It wasn’t lying if the truth stood somewhere in the middle – and she didn’t get caught. Dominic Blackthorne owned half of that … caught.
Dominic Blackthorne owned half of that big city…and a reputation. Rather than dispel rumors or show the world the real Nick, he let his own fake image run free. Until Cori Dash – the only person who told him exactly how it was, even if it stung.
When Cori is faced with her ex-fiance, now engaged to her ex-best friend, it’s game on. In her boldest move yet, she concocts her biggest lie to date by introducing the first handsome stranger that walks by as her new fiancé. Happy to play the part, Nick is already planning the fake wedding of her dreams.
You know what they say about lying – the truth always comes out – and it hurts. Especially when Cori finds out she isn’t the biggest Liar in this game, and she’s been out played.

Liar, liar, panties on fire!
This story is the perfect romantic comedy. One little lie gets the ball rolling for Cori and Nick.
This is a fast paced, modern day fairy tale, complete with evil ex-friends, a fairy drag queen and helpful friends along the way.
Cori had a naiveté that while sweet, made me want to shake her silly and say open your eyes girl!!
Nick had a bit of a stalkerish vibe that may set some people off, but like Cori, I enjoyed his persistence.
The secondary characters are phenomenal and add so much to the story! They made me laugh!
The only issue I had was it was hard to follow some of the chapters, they tended to switch from Cori’s POV to Nick’s POV and while I was happy to see both main characters get their say, I wish it could have been more structured.
Over all a great story and can’t wait to read more from Ms. St. Klaire!
Liar is a lighthearted, sexy romance, that shakes you up from your ho-hum daily life. When the main characters Dominic and Cori are thrust together by accident (or was it) they have to keep their lie going long enough to Cori’s ex-fiancé and ex best friend, they get deeper and deeper into the deceit and along the way, finding out they really like each other. But will Cori still like Dom when she finds out all is not what it seems. A great story and romantic comedy that is guaranteed to make you laugh!
A fun romantic comedy, Liar, pulls out all the stops in a silly game of topping another couple. That other couple happens to be Cori’s ex-fiance and his now fiancé (and Cori’s ex-best friend). Cori grabs a stranger in a park and makes him her fiancé. He’s more than willing to play along. Turns out he is the owner of the company she works for. Cori has been hurt more than once and has her guards up. Nick is smitten right away with her. She isn’t impressed with his money, she’s kind, generous, and career driven. She only sees this as a silly game and that their relationship isn’t real. He’s out to win her heart. What starts out as a fake relationship turns into a friendship that leads to love. A modern-day Cinderella tale. A very fun romantic comedy with hilarious dialogue. As with all Stephanie St. Klaire’s books, you get a fully developed storyline and characters.
5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
LIAR by Stephanie St. Klaire is a great book. I’ve had the pleasure of reading a couple of Stephanie’s stories and this one as with all was wonderful. This is a lighter version of Stephanie’s work and she did an amazing job with this story.
Cori, this girl is funny, sweet, and hard working. She lives for her work. When Cori runs into her ex and ex-best friend at a company outing, quick thinking Cori latches on to Nick. Poor Nick finally figures out what’s going on and plays right along. But as this “relationship” escalates so do the lies, blurring the lines on with is real and that is not.
I loved this story. It’s a novella, so it took me no time to read at all, but it also kept me entertained and waiting more. Please check it out.
Dreams do come True, even dreams you didn’t realize you had!
This a brilliantly written, funny, heart warming and heart wrenching Cinderella type story.
Life has dealt Cordelia(Cori) Dash a few incomprehensible blows, the deaths of her parents at a young age, the theft of her inheritance and college fund by those that were supposed to care for her, and finally her college room mate and best friend’s betrayal with Cori’s own fiancé. This small town mid west girl is not willing to give up on her dreams of becoming a big city corporate powerhouse. She throws herself into her work, trying to win a coveted spot as a VP at the firm that she has worked at for years. Working through lunches and late into the night on her marketing VP proposal, she stops to put in some facetime at a dog benefit sponsored by her firm.
Borrowing a dog from her best friend she drops in and runs into her Ex- fiancé and former best friend who are now engaged to each other. A couple of uppity rich kids with no reason to work , they revel in rubbing her nose in the fact that they have each other and she has no one. Enter an unsuspecting, tall good looking stranger. As Winnie and Phillip start to brag about their high dollar wedding plans, Cori can take no more and grabs the arm of the stranger (Nick) as he walks past and introduces him, (as Honey) hoping that this tall handsome stranger will take her lead and play along. Cori tries to convince Winnie that this is her fiancé and they they are so happy together and in love. This begins the tale of one upmanship between the two couples. The discovery of who Nick really is and the ability with his help to put Winnie in her place every time really gave me a good laugh and the enjoyment of knowing that a “mean girl” doesn’t come out ahead. The farther into the story I read the better the one up became. There are real feelings in the characters that I felt as I read, there are a couple twists that I didn’t expect but loved anyway, and the ending was melt worthy. I finished this book with a big sigh, and the wish that it was a Hallmark movie. Well done Stephanie St.Klaire.
WOW!! What a fun book, it’s fast-paced and easy to read. I loved the humor mixed with yummy feelings and emotions. I loved the characters, Nick the rich, successful hero from old money and Cori the “fake it til you make it” smart woman. The supporting characters Tony the fatherly security guard, James her gay best friend, and Miss D. enhanced the whole book. The storyline was great, what I enjoyed most was the underlying feeling that Nick was a really good guy and that he respected Cori. It’s easy to recommend this book if you like to be entertained.
This is a fake romance that starts out after Cori’s ex best friend Winnie gets engaged to Cori’s ex fiancé Phillip. Cori just grabbed some random guy in the park and pretended like they were together.
It’s a really light read that is sexy, fun and hilarious…
Everyone needs a sexy man like Nick in their life
Fantastic! Laugh out loud funny and seriously sexy, Liar is fabulous! Cori and Nick light up the pages as their fake romance turns into so much more. I love a good fake engagement and a seriously sexy billionaire who falls hard. This book had both! Plus Cori had some outrageous awkward moments…I could not stop laughing. Excellent!!
Take 2 strangers, pretending to be engaged, add in a couple dogs, a diva named Davina, and you’ve got a story worth reading. I laughed, cried and everything in between.
I can’t recommend this book enough!
WOW! When Author Stephanie St. Klaire puts her pen to paper…get ready for something AMAZING!
Liar, A Faux-mance novel is fu-larious! (I just made that word up, but you get the point…right? HAHA). I laughed so hard while reading this story! I LOVE a great ROM-COM and Stephanie St. Klaire knows how to write them! Right from the start she freaking nailed it! The way Cori grabbed a random guy at a fundraiser to show that she is “over” her ex-fiance,Phillip, and her ex-best friend, Winnie (who are now engaged), to him playing along with her scheming, is freaking brilliant! I loved the twists and turns in this book, and the characters are PERFECTION! Nick was…yummmmmmm!!!! And Cori’s character is just amazing!
I am NEVER disappointed by Stephanie St. Klaire and if you read this book you will understand why!
What a great story!
When Cori is out at an event, she runs into her former best friend and fiance’ who are rubbing in their relationship and upcoming wedding. Cori panics and grabs literally the next guy walking by, Nick and claims him as her fiance’!
Watch their story unfold in this amazing book that will make you laugh and maybe even shed some tears! 5 stars, I’m really enjoying this authors books! Grab this when you can!
I think Liar is the lightest thing Stephanie St. Klaire has published to date. I usually don’t like millionaire/billionaire stories, but I was willing to try this one because I am a huge fan of the author. I’m very glad I did!
The story starts out with Cori just grabbing some random guy in the park and pretending they are together because, well, her ex and her ex-best friend are both just lousy excuses for human beings who need to be taken down a peg or two. Nick is surprised (to say the least) by Cori and her shenanigans, but quickly catches on and plays the role to utter perfection. (Did I fail to mention how sexy Nick is?) The lies just keep piling up as the book goes on and the relationships get more and more complicated.
Liar has St. Klaire’s usual well written sexy times, humor and characters that you feel like you grew up next door to. There’s even still a twist (boy does she do those well!) in this light romance. Glad I didn’t let the rich guy keep me from reading this one!
Stephanie St Klaire’s romantic comedy has a lot of heart. This story opens with a backstabbing ex friend,ex fiancée,a couple of dogs and a stranger soon to become Cori’s fiancée.It was funny, romantic and sexy.Cori is smart, compassionate and a little bit damaged by life while Nick is hot, funny, charming and rich but down to earth. What follows is two people living a “lie” that starts to become real as they get to know each other.I laughed, cried and fell in love with this pair.
I LOVED the newest book by Stephanie St Klaire. I have enjoyed her writing since I first found her. This is her first trip into Rom-Com and she is still a shinning star! Cori & Nick are fun to watch bumbling along. Thank you for all your books!
Loved this laugh out loud fun, witty, sexy, sweet and emotionally thrilling romantic adventure filled with lots of interesting charters…. Loved this story from the first crazy encounter to the heartwarming and tear-jerking conclusion.
Nick and Cori are just adorable and natural together. I love how down to earth and real they both are. Each laugh out loud encounter they have with her ex’s are so fun to read….. This Faux engagement was so entertaining as it slowly turned into so much more.
Stephanie St. Klaire keeps you riveted from the start and keeps you wanting more. This book was emotional and hysterical. I just love Cori & Nick. This fake engagement was fun to watch progress. What starts out as a lie quickly becomes real, true love. Cori with her clumsiness/mishaps of bad luck are just so funny. And Nick, OH NICK, he is by far my favorite of Stephanie’s hero’s. He is such a romantic, and only wants to make sure all of Cori’s dreams come true. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. This is definitely one you want to pick up and dive right into.
Loved Cori and Nick’s story. Funny entertaining when she bumps into her ex fiance and ex best friend she sees a guy and pulls him in to be her fake fiance. Little does she know he is the owner of her company and she is saying all kinds of things about him til she finds out who he is. They do lots of fun stuff to get back and Phillip and Winnie. What a fun story.
This book was such fun !!!! I was laughing out loud ! I loved Nick from the minute he appeared !!! And Nick and Cori together were great. I’m usually a big fan of romantic suspense but totally loved this book which was more of a rom-com. The scenes with the ex and fiancé were great ! I was literally laughing out loud ! Totally recommend this book !
This book is so fun! Cori is a work-a-holic and when she runs into her ex-best friend and ex-fiance (who cheated on her with said ex-best friend), she tells a little lie to prove that her life is just fine without them and grabs on to a stranger and introduces him as her fiancé. Nick plays along and little does Cori know that he is the owner of the company she works for and he has been looking for a way to get noticed by Cori for a while. They continue to play along and Cori fears that she will end up hurt in the end because it isn’t a real relationship. They humor and fun runs throughout this book and I couldn’t put it down. I loved it!
Very funny, fast read! I could not help to laugh out loud with this book.
The love that you can see flowing from Nick is amazing.
This is such a good book. There are always twists and turns in Stephanie St. Klaire’s books. This is very well written and great book to read. I highly recommend this book!
