Liam – a review by Rosemary Kenny
Liam Collins is a CIA agent, masquerading as an FBI spy. The codenamed Black Hawk has stated his intention to retire from the service and return home to his billionaire family’s compound for good – then his boss, Nightshade, gives him one more mission and it’s impossible to refuse, as his target is a woman he loved but lost through his reticence as a teen – and she’s almost certainly in danger from the Russians!
Get your copy of this riveting second-chance romantic spy-thriller, Liam, that’s Book 4 in Victoria Pinder’s Collins Brothers series.
You’ll need to check on your security, before infiltrating its contents to get to the secrets inside, but it’s so worth the rewards that await the end of your ‘mission’!
Liam maybe the baby of the family but he is the most adventurous, working for the CIA after his turn in the marines. He has been working with the FBI in prior novels, helping his brothers round up the bad guys out to get the woman of their dreams. But all of a sudden, two weeks before his last day, Black Falcon (his code name) is called upstairs to his boss’s office to find out the girl he has dreamed of since high school, who is the librarian in Hyannis Port and his mother’s good friend, has a dossier and is being tracked to Miami about to leave the country with classified secrets. Of course, he immediately jumps on the case, to protect her from the CIA and every foreign agent after her. The only problem is, she thinks Liam has always hated her, and her fiance told her to trust no one right before he was killed. Liam has quite the challenge to intercept her, get her and her guard dog out of the MIA airport, gain their trust, while flying her in his family jet first to his family’s cabin in Maine, operating on her calf to cut out the tracker that was implanted without her knowledge, yachting her to Cape Cod, etc. An exciting adventure indeed, while he begins a relationship with Sherry, partnering with her guard dog to fight multiple followers, introducing her to the rest of his family, while deciding whom to trust in the CIA. A great read!
The fourth book in the The Collins Brothers series sees Liam finally get his girl. Sherry has been mentioned in earlier books and there were hints of them having feelings for each other and in this book we find out their history all while they run from an unknown threat. Liam’s work for the spy agency adds to the mystery and intrigue in this sweet romanc
Delightful tale of childhood sweethearts that never happened. Both to afraid to even talk to the other. Throw in the international spies and death threats. I had a fun time reading this story. Situations occasionally elevated my pulse rate or brought moisture to my eyes.
Part of “Christmas Collection: Romance and Holidays.”
I received a copy of this book as a gift. This is my honest review.
