Lieutenant Eve Dallas puzzles over a bizarre suicide bombing in a Wall St. office building in Leverage in Death, the latest in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from J.D. Robb… For the airline executives finalizing a merger that would make news in the business world, the nine a.m. meeting would be a major milestone. But after marketing VP Paul Rogan walked into the plush conference room, … into the plush conference room, strapped with explosives, the headlines told of death and destruction instead. The NYPSD’s Eve Dallas confirms that Rogan was cruelly coerced by two masked men holding his family hostage. His motive was saving his wife and daughter–but what was the motive of the masked men?
Despite the chaos and bad publicity, blowing up one meeting isn’t going to put the brakes on the merger. All it’s accomplished is shattering a lot of innocent lives. Now, with the help of her billionaire husband Roarke, Eve must untangle the reason for an inexplicable act of terror, look at suspects inside and outside both corporations, and determine whether the root of this crime lies in simple sabotage, or something far more complex and twisted.

I am a fan of the series and have read all the books. The last few book have been OK but this one was much better. I liked the story and interplay between the well know characters. The case was interesting and towards the end the suspense and mystery were well played out. I had a few sleepless nights reading to see what would happen next and would recommend this book
JD Robb hit another home run with this book.
Okay, this one had me guessing the whole way through. Every time I thought I’d guessed the criminal, I was wrong. Waaaay wrong! A real page-turner with the added bonus of familiar faces and people, the dry humour sprinkled through it, and the sense of family and friends amdist the murder and harsher elements of the story. The main characters aren’t perfect and have their ups and downs, but love and loyalty wins out. Looking forward to the next in the series!
I love all the In Death books but for some reason this book was missing the usual suspense, it was pretty mellow in my opinion, I would still recommend this book because I love the characters and at times her past crime scenes are mention in future books.
J. D. Robb (Nora Roberts) is a phenomenal writer. This is the 47th book in her Death series and each one is different. The scope of these books are amazing. You can see the growth of Eve as she works through her very painful issues. You also see “Super” Roarke vulnerable. The cast of characters makes you wish they were your friends too. The futuristic elements are cleverly done. I always look forward to her new books – which come out twice a year. I have not read many of her Nora Roberts books but the ones I have read are each original and entertaining. You won’t be disappointed with this new book.
This is a great read
I have read all of her books. Her books have hairs standing on end and a lot of fright. Love them all
As usual, J.D.Robb wrote a very entertaining novel.

I read everything by JD Robb, I just love her
I have loved every book in this series!
I have read most of her books. I have trouble putting each one down with finishing it.
As usual, JDRobb hits the spot. Terrific as old books in the series.
I enjoyed it.
If you like the entire series of books with Lieutenant Eva Dallas, and her sexy husband Roarke then you should to enjoy this book.
Excellent! !!!
Excellent book, great read.
I love everything J D Robb writes. Love Roarke & Eve. This is not Robb’s best, but
worth the read none-the-less.
I’ve greatly enjoyed the entire ‘In Death” series. There are always new twists to the plots, and following the characters as they evolve and grow only adds to the experience. “Leverage In Death” ably upholds what was built in the prior novels.
I loved the book. I love all of JD Robb’s “In Death ” series! another great book in the series.
