Loved this book. Such interesting and well developed characters. Lovely story about letting go of the past and giving yourself permission to live fully and love again.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
Cleo and Charlie’s first encounter is pretty funny but not to them. She is a widow with a young son, Harris. He found out a few years ago about his daughter, Grace who he is raising. These two have both lost people they love and are dealing with still living. Loved Cleo’s mom and Charlie’s dad!!! A love story but also so much more. This one tugged at my heart but also made me laugh. I really enjoyed seeing Megan be Megan in this book.

A warm, fuzzy feel good read.
Grace and Harris are kids being kids (fighting one moment and playing g the next) while Charlie and Cleo are adults being adults with their complicated feelings and insecurities.
I received this book as an ARC reader but that in no means affected my rating.
Looking forward to the next book.
Loved Natasha Queen’s book Letting Go This Christmas! What a great meet cute they had through their kids fighting! Even though it took Cleo a long time before she would soften towards Charlie, I loved the build up between the two. And Charlie’s Christmas gift and Cleo’s reaction was perfect. This a great clean romance with cute kids and an epilogue that ties everything together for the HEA.

I truly enjoyed this clean romance novel about Charlie and Cleo. It was a well written story about a widow and her son having a run in with a father and his strong willed daughter. At first, they hate each other but, hate soon turns to tolerate through kindness on everyone’s part. Charlie is a caring, upright man and Cleo is an understanding, but grief stricken woman who is just trying to get by. Natasha Queen knows how to write a great story and I can’t wait for the installment of this series!

This book captured my spirit
I think this was my favorite story so far in the Pecan Grove series, which is saying a lot as I loved the earlier books. Natasha Queen has a talent in making her characters relatable on many levels. Story is fast-paced and dialogue is witty, while dealing with some overwhelming emotions.
I was particularly intrigued with Cleo’ s interaction with her boss. No spoilers, but I naively thought this kind of behavior was a thing of the past. And important, self-defining decisions are usually a result of complex reasons and emotions.
This book made me feel and think, which is always a bonus. I am blessed to be part of Ms. Queen’s ARC team and received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. This is definitely not just another holiday romance!
Survivors guilt, Cleo is a single mother who feels like she’s betraying her husband, Tanner, who was killed in Afghanistan and doesn’t believe she should be happy and live. Charlie has a daughter he didn’t know about until he was notified when her mother was killed.
An incident in the ice cream parlor leaves them both upset, and embarrassed at their reactions. They eventually call a truce, the children become friends and life gets complicated.
Natasha has written and compelling story of life after grief and learning to live again.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and have reviewed it voluntarily.
Charlie and Cleo are experiencing trying times in their lives that takes them to Pecan Grove to start anew. When Cleo’s and Charlie’s Children cause a scene it boils over to the adults. Charlie realize he is captivated by Cleo but she is closed off and determined to raise her son and never open her heart again for heart ache. Will these two find common ground that can lead to a happily ever after for both?

Cleo and Charlie will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. They both had faced life changing events in their lives. Fate brought them together in an ice cream shop when their young children got into an ice cream fight. The book was very moving and emotional as Cleo was dealing with survivors guilt over the death of her husband in Afganistan. There was lots of drama, some twists and eventually a HEA. The children were adorable and soon went from ice cream enemies to fast friends. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review. Well written with well-developed characters and an entertaining story.
I liked the odd characters.
