Great book by a great author. Can’t wait for her next book.
Very enjoyable story about love lost and a second chance at love. Two young people both lost their child’s other parent. One gained a daughter he did not know he had a true blessing in his life. One lost a husband to a bomb in Afghanistan. Their children started as enemies and became the best of friends. Can they do the same and find love again?

Wow! This is such a great book about a man who finds out that he has a daughter after her mother dies and brings her home to his hometown. It‘s also about a war widow with a son who has to go through the trials and tribulations of being a single mother, resisting a new love, while still longing for her dead husband. No love scenes. Very interesting and well put together story.

Cleo was a single mother working to provide for her son Harris, following the unexpected death of her husband. She and Harris run into Charlie and his little girl, Grace at an ice cream shop, and things take a definite downward turn. Grace and Harris become classmates and an altercation between the two leads their parents to reconsider their interactions. Slowly but surely Cleo begins to warm up to Charlie, but has to deal with the guilt of moving on after the death of her husband. Charlie steps on Cleo’s toes time and again, wanting to protect her from the pain the world inflicts, yet unable to let the woman he is coming to care about fight her own battles. The two dance around each other as they try to figure out if they want a relationship with each other and how to work through their hang ups. Beautiful story
Natasha Queen hit it out of the ballpark with this book! This is the third in the “Wedding Series” and by far, the best! As in the other two books, “Fake Fiance Fiasco” and “Waiting on Her”, this story takes place in the small southern town of Pecan Grove, Texas. I l ove these types of stories: small town, quirky characters, nosy neighbors, and the small town goodness where everyone pulls together. This book has it all.
I don’t need to add to the story-line in the discription above. What I will add is that this story makes you feel good. The kids are adorable and a riot. They can pull at your heart strings and also add a lot of well timed humor to the story. Queen allows you to feel the gamut of emotions that each character in the story is experiencing: whether it be the loss that one spouse has for another, the frustration a lesser staff member has with her “handsy” boss, or even the annoyance that a customer has with her local barista; Natasha Queen’s writing let’s feel like you are right there with her characters. Although this is a stand alone, I would recommend reading the other two books in the series. There is some mention of people from the other stories and while Queen does a good job of providing enough background information that you do not have to read them, I find it helps the flow and completes the story-line better.
This book is about a widowed young mom with a young boy who meets a single dad. Because of the survivors guild she carries, she can’t open her heart. The story is clean and sweet but has great emotion and depth of characters. I highly recommend this book.
The initial meeting of Charlie and Cleo, along with their two children, was anything but friendly. They almost came to blows, especially the kids. The author has a way of weaving those two families together, but it does not come easy. This well-written story demonstrates so many emotions in its characters which also stirs its readers – especially when you realize why Cleo struggles with letting go. I highly recommend this story that is free of foul language and immoral acts.

This book was such a beautiful, tender story of finding love after Cleo lost her soldier husband. She is finally moving on and letting go of the past to a future of hope, laughter, dreams come true, and a chance to love again. It did not seem like Cleo would ever be able to move on and do that.
I liked how strong and independent Cleo’s character became as the story progressed. This changed her from being scared and lonely on the inside to a person who valued herself and set high, work goals.
The antics between Cleo’s son, Harris and Charlie’s daughter, Grace were so funny and adorable and seemed so out of character for both children. Charlie was so good for Cleo and showed us just how small the world could be. This story will fill you with laughter, love, and a few surprises too. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Letting Go This Christmas is a great second chance romance. Cleo lost her husband when he was overseas in the military and Charlie has a daughter he didn’t know he had. There is angst among these two and their kids don’t like other at first. The kids have another run in when they are put in the same class at school. Cleo is afraid to love again and Charlie has never had a long relationship. There are happy things and some sad things that happen between them. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a second chance romance,

A very good book that touches on a number of subjects one of which is what the survivors of those who are killed in war deal with emotionally and how to cope with those emotions and attempt to move on without that loved one in their lives. Another is the ramifications of a past single life when unexpected consequences are realized and then life-altering responsibilities have to be assumed. Add in all the trials and joys of single parenthood with all of its ups and downs along with a fledgling new romance thrown into the mix and you have all of the elements that make for the heartfelt Christmas story of Cleo and Charlie that begs to be read and shared this holiday season!!

Beautiful story between two amazing main characters, Charlie and Cleo, both single parents struggling in their own way. Even the secondary characters are beautifully written and I was glad to see Nick and Megan, from “Waiting on her”. Lots of love, lots of emotion. Perfect!

This is the first book I have read by Natasha Queen. This story was a refreshing, sweet love story. Cleo is a woman I admire in real life. The single mom. The one that does everything for her child no matter how much she has to sacrifice. She does it without complaining or bitterness towards not getting what she wants. Charlie is rocking being a single dad. He goes from being single to having a little girl to raise. He’s able to take a break from work so he can put all his focus on his daughter. I laughed when Cleo and Charlie went head to head. Never mess with someone else’s child! I liked that they had the “proper” thoughts in their heads, but their actions spoke the opposite. It speaks to real-life and why we encounter multiple misunderstandings. This story is not only about a couple falling in love, but the love a child has for their parent, no matter the age. If you want a darling small town where coincidences turn into fate with a Christmasy feel then sit and enjoy this love story.

i absolutely loved reading this story about Charlie and Cleo. It was their kids who stole the show in the beginning with their antics towards one another. But I liked it because it was about second chances and not a lot of people get that opportunity especially when matters of the heart are concerned. Charlie seems so clueless as a dad in the beginning. His daughter Grace definitely has a temper which gets her into trouble. Cleo works at a lawyer’s office and is good at what she does, but has a boss that is always making her uncomfortable. Harris is Cleo’s little boy and he is so cute and not liking Grace at all in the beginning. It is the kids that bring the parents together and it is definitely a story with humor and about second chances. I loved this story and would definitely recommend it!!!
I enjoyed reading how Cleo and Harris developed a relationship. They were brought together initially because of the actions of their children and they had a very rocky start. They were single parents very protective of their kids. Cleo’s husband had been killed in Afghanistan and Harris had been surprised to learn several years ago that he was a dad after his ex girlfriend had died. The kids eventually became friends and then there was a wait to see if their parent’s relationship would also develop.
This was a cute story that I enjoyed reading.

This was a delightful story. There were times that were sad and others that were a joy. Cleo Martin lost her husband several years ago when he died overseas during the war. It is now just her, her 6 year old son Harris and her father. They live on her deceased husband’s property near Pecan Grove. She and Harris are at the ice cream store. Harris is trying to decide on the flavor that he wants. In walks a beautiful little girl (Grace). Grace goes up to the ice cream case and her father (Charlie) cuts off Cleo and the rest is history. One that was a hoot to read.
I adored reading the antics of both Harris and Grace. There were such adorable characters. Ms. Queen did a wonderful job in portraying the children in a delightful manner. The plot of the story was very well done. I look forward to reading more of Pecan Grove. (I hope Dax) gets a story.
This book was written in my favorite dual POV format. Seeing into the characters’ thought process (especially Cleo’s) really helped me to fully understand why the character responded in a certain manner in some situations.
This was a sweet, clean romance. I highly recommend this story to anyone.
Such a sweet romantic book.
Natasha Queen never fails to deliver.
This one had all the feels… and left me with the message that sometimes we need to let go of the past in order to truly live in the future.
Cleo and Charlie had faced a lot in their lives… and deserved to find happiness.
Not just a plain run of the mill Christmas romance.
Worth the read.

We met Charlie and Grace in Waiting On Her (Nick and Megan’s story). Grace is now six, and Charlie is doing great as a single dad. Now add the the picture Cleo and Harris – Cleo is a widowed single mom now to her six year old son. And of all the ways to meet and have their first few interactions than with these two first graders who become enemies! It was a great beginning, and a great story. I liked the military aspect of it (my husband is retired Air Force) and I felt that the story, while not going into a lot of detail, showed respect to our service men and women, and their families.

This was such a wonderful story of a romance but it was way more. Natasha Queen wrote of a young widow, Cleo, who was dealing with the loss of her military hero husband and a swoony man, Charlie, who fought to win her heart. There are so many complex feelings involved in bereavement and learning how to always love the memory of the lost one but move forward and continue to live life. This book did a great job of handling this very sensitive subject. There were lots of sweet moments and hilarious mischief involving Cleo’s son and Charlie’s daughter that lightened things up and kept it from being too heavy. Highly recommend!
