I loved this story of Charlie and Cleo’s learning to trust and love again. While it might not have been an easy road, I enjoyed reading about their to happily ever after. I highly recommend this book! You will love it too.
In Pecan Grove, Texas, Charlie has come home with his newly found young daughter, Grace. He’s there to Introduce his daughter to her grandparents and spend time with his dying father. Charlie is learning how to be a father of a six year old and trying to figure out how he can be able to work as a world traveling acclaimed photographer with a young daughter.
Cleo is a young military widow of 2 years with a 6 year old son, Harris. She works in a law practice as a secretary, but has dreams of becoming a paralegal someday. But for now, her focus is on providing for her son, and staying out of the reach of one of the partners.
At the ice cream parlor, the two children get into a “name calling earns you an ice cream cone in the face” disagreement, of course the parents end up facing off as well. But in a small town it’s hard to not run into each other. Even after a few confrontations, Charlie is drawn to Cleo, but she can’t let go of her grief or risk a relationship.
Will Cleo and Charlie be able to come together, or will Cleo’s fear of letting go of the past keep them from a second chance for love.?

This is a nice, heartfelt Xmas tale. CLEO is still grieving the loss of her husband & works in a dead end job to make ends meet & care for her son. Charlie’s dad is dying combining that with the fact he now has a daughter he didn’t know exists, his life is now different from his work travelling the globe.
It’s when their children have an altercation that their lives entwine, but not a happy one at first. Their love hate relationship develops into more however Cleo is dragged down by her loss.
It’s about second chances & finding true love.

A delightful guy meets girl scenario with a humorous twist. Interesting enough to keep you reading, Sweet enough to make you say “aw”.. This is a typical feel good Christmas story for some, and also a pull at your heart strings story for others. Of course you know what kind of ending this book will have, but, you have no idea how the ending will come about. That’ll keep you guessing. Not what I would call a ROM-COM, but, definitely some laugh out loud moments!
I loved every page of this book, and you will too. It’ll make you laugh, cry, and connect with the characters and what they are each going through, because, there is baggage involved. That’s what “letting go” is all about.
Enjoy this book in the spirit with which it was written. It is definitely a feel good book.
It makes me want to read about Megan and Nick, and Dax. Please tell me that they have stories too!

This is only my second Natasha Queen book and I’ve already learned to expect excellent writing from her. I LOVED this book. I loved the beautifully complex main characters she created. Both Cleo and Charlie have so many layers to them that the author slowly and skillfully reveals to her readers. There are so many unique aspects to how these two meet and “click” and watching them realize how perfect they are for each other is just magical. The supporting characters are all well drawn and important to the story – even the not so likeable ones. This story has cute kids, humor, explores the pain of great loss, romance and a lovely HEA. Once again, this is one of the better books this voracious reader has read in the past year. HIGHLY recommend. 🙂
“He knew the sound of my music because he sang the harmony.” That right there! Who doesn’t want love as deep as that!! I love all the stories from Pecan Grove, but I think this one is my favorite. Cleo and Charlie lost so much but gained even more when they met and realized their feelings. Harris and Grace were super cute and definitely livened up things with their funny antics. I hope there are more stories to come…maybe one explaining Abby’s deal…

Book 3 is another well-written story in this series with wonderful characters that have good personal histories that make the story. This is more of a life story of a single parent and their love with a romance that blooms in that story. It is an emotion journey you should not miss from a really good Author

This was a darling story about two single patents who start off hating each other and end up being thrown together often as their children keep fighting. Lots of feels in this story and a creepy bad guy with personal space issues. The end was wonderful.
“Letting Go This Christmas” by Natasha Queen is a second chance holiday romance. Poignant and thought-provoking, it is all about letting go of past memories to pave the way for the brilliant future ahead. Unless past memories are voluntarily given up, the future can never arrive. It is how we deal with our past experiences, and the memories they bestow, that shapes the beauty of our character. In life, the priceless jewels of love and friendship are the precious things a person needs to survive.
In “Letting Go This Christmas,” the only thing holding Cleo back is herself and her past memories, as she passionately clings to them for dear life, refusing to let go. Cleo had a lot of questions and no answers. Although Cleo was everything Charlie ever wanted in a bride, she was hopelessly tied up in her past, painful, bittersweet memories, unable to break free.
It was only when Charlie found a mutual link to Cleo’s past and bridged the gap that Cleo’s frozen heart finally melts, throwing the floodgates wide open, and allowing love to heal all the wounds in her heart.
Natasha Queen is an expert at genuine affairs of the heart, recognizing the authentic nature of true love, and skillfully depicting it in her characters.
“Letting Go This Christmas” is an endearing story of true love that tugs at our heartstrings. It captures the latent love hidden in ordinary humdrum everyday lives, highlighting selfless acts of compassion and care. It leads us to examine our own hearts and inspires us to let go of past memories that only hinder us from moving forward. It explores the innocent, heartfelt loyalty of love, in a deeply-moving, dramatic story-within-a-story. I highly recommend this poignant, heart-moving book by an extremely gifted author and master wordsmith, Natasha Queen, who signs the book with her inimitable seal of perfection.
This was such a sweet holiday novel. With two people who have both had unexpected surprises that turned their lives upside down this page turner has just enough drama along with the adorable kid value and happy ever after ending. Charlie’s precocious daughter and Cleo’s adorable son won’t make life easy for these two parents, but it will be filled with plenty of angst and adventure. But, will Cleo be able to get past her pain and move on so she can accept love into her life again?

Sweet Christmas story
This is my first read from this author. I would not hesitate to read more of her stories after this one. I really enjoyed it.
It had some real heartbreak in it, but was also so incredibly sweet. It gives you hope, after tragedy. Letting go can be really hard, and protecting your heart, and the hearts of those around you, can be difficult too. It’s hard to know who to, and if you can trust again.
A really lovely read for the festive season.

Natasha Queen’s sweet romances delve into realistic life altering situations while also offering her characters and her readers hope. I enjoyed the dialogue and the banter between Cleo and Charlie, and how they navigated their relationship in the midst of the memory of Cleo’s late husband. Her hesitancy to move forward with Charlie is further complicated by her son Harris, and her desire to protect him at all costs. Charlie’s mom factors into the story as a wise advisor, and one who has first hand knowledge of losing a loved one. Natasha Queen has again combined all the elements of good storytelling with her character development, plot progression and of course a happy ending to virtually guarantee an exceptional read.

Beautifully written story of loss, heartache, second chances and being happy. Cleo is so busy taking care of her son and trying to make ends meet after her husband dies that she has no time for love, nor does she want to love again. She’s put up barriers to try to keep from getting hurt again but will she be able to resist Charlie and his daughter?

Natasha Queen has rapidly become one of my favourite romance authors. So when I was asked if I wanted to read her latest book ‘Letting Go This Christmas’, I jumped at the chance.
Queen is rapidly creating a fictional world of characters who I absolutely adore. Every time I think I’ve found a favourite, she writes another book that tops the last, and makes it a tough choice.
‘Letting Go This Christmas’ is a sweet winter romance, of two people finding their second chance at love. It centres around Charlie who we met at the end of ‘Waiting On Her’, and Cleo Mason, a law firm secretary and single mother after being widowed.
The two meet in a hilarious encounter in an ice cream shop, and from the get go sparks fly and they are unable to avoid one another. Charlie is captivated by Cleo’s beauty, and there’s just something about Charlie and his adorable daughter Grace that leaves Cleo’s heart hammering.
A beautiful sweet romance that contains a bunch of characters you can’t help but fall in love with. I adored Cleo’s father and Charlie’s mother, and I love that it is a book about love healing pain.
The book is written around the festive season, so it is absolutely the perfect Christmas read to pick up! It will leave you with that warm fuzzy feeling, and let’s face it, everyone is a sucker for a happy ending!
This book can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the series, you will absolutely be hooked from the onset. I read this all in one sitting, and I can’t wait to see where Queen’s next book takes me!
I loved this story! It was a journey to love, but Charlie knew what he wanted and patiently waited. Cleo was more resistant due to her past. Their kids, Harris & Grace
brought them together with the misunderstanding in the ice cream shop, then at school and with their friendship. It was a beautiful written love story.
