Cleo is trying to get along in life and take care of her and her 6 year old son Harris with the help of her Dad, Charlie is getting use to having his own 6 year old Grace after only finding out about her months earlier. There are some good laughs ie the ice cream store, some uncomfortable movements ie Jet the creep, loss and frustration along with some great meddling by Cleo’s Dad and Charlies Mum that make this a great read. I do admit I was disappointed we didn’t get to see Cleo open the envelope and how all that panned out as I was really looking forward to Cleo having something great happen to her apart from Charlie of course! lol

Beautiful endearing story of two single parents.
Tragic loss, the ups and downs trying to raise their children on their own, Charlie and Cleo have alot in common.

3.5 stars. Cleo is a young widow with a young son who is afraid of living. She refers to it as survivor’s guilt. She married young and her husband was killed in Afghanistan. Charlie is a globe trotting photographer until he finds he is the father of a 3 year old when her mother dies. Charlie comes home to Pine Grove where he meets Cleo. Their children clash which makes them clash. The story has a HEA with another wedding in Pecan Grove. The story was interesting but there are bits where the story did not flesh out or were not developed enough for me.

Another beautiful story in the town of Pecan Grove. Charlie and Cleo have noticeable chemistry the moment they meet and each of them are in Pecan Grove for different reasons. Can they each have a second chance at love and have a HEA? A clean heartwarming story with many emotions. Have your tissues close by when you sit down to read this one. Highly recommend.

Title: A Second Chance at Love?
Charlie and his daughter meet Chloe and her son at the ice cream place, one afternoon when Charlie stepped up to purchase an ice cream cone. Only problem was, the boy was there first, and it ended up with the girl responding to the boy’s comment, by plastering him with her ice cream cone! Then Chloe stepped up, and she and Charlie spouted things at each other. Both left, hoping to never see each other again. However, they have more to work out between their two kids, who eventually become friends.
Charlie is attracted to her, but she lost her husband who served in Afghanistan and was killed. His daughter lost her mom to death, also. A lot to work through, but they gradually become friends. This is just a brief intro, and it is a fascinating read. I highly recommend you check this book out!
What a happy second chance romance story. This is another story in the beautiful town of Pecan Grove. Charlie and Cleo are both there for different reasons but from there first encounter you can sense there chemistry. Nothing is easy and finding love and letting it in to your heart is hard at first for Cleo. It’s an emotional happy romantic read. From heartbreak and sorrow to love and passion. This book has it all. Fantastic Book.
Everything you could want in a story – sadness, joy, anger and humor. A must read for those who believe in second chances and enjoy clean, heartwarming stories.
I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.
It all started at the ice cream shop. Cleo and her son Harris stopped for ice cream. As they were trying to decide what flavor they wanted, a man and his daughter came in the door. Charlie and his little girl Grace decided they would cut in line. This usually would not have bothered Cleo but it did on this one given day.
As Grace received her cone, Harris told her that her ice cream smelled like butt since it was butternut. This made Grace cry and therefore she shoved her cone in his face. The two kids could not get along which made Cleo and Charlie spend more time together to straighten out there children.
Cleo had lost her husband while he was stationed elsewhere. She never thought she would get over it. The last thing she needed was to get involved with another man. Will Charlie and Cleo work things out or will they go their separate ways?

Cleo Martin lost her husband in the war. She is devastated by the lost. She has a son that six years old and they live in Pecan Grove.
While Harris is getting ice cream there was a conflict with little Grace and her father, Charlie.
Another conflict happens at school between the children that gets the parents together.
They will find themselves attractive to each other but Cleo still can’t let go of the past. Charlie also has to learn to deal with his daughter since he just learned about her.
Will Cleo be able to let go? Can these two work together?
A very sweet romance. Wonderful story from Natasha Queen.

Clio Martin’s husband died in Afghanistan several years ago. She is left on her own with her five year old son. Since she never got a chance to finish college, she is working as an administrative assistant to a lawyer who is sexually harassing her.
Charlie Evans is a photographer who has traveled the world. When he finds out that he is the father of a five year old daughter, he stays in Pecan Grove in order to bond with his daughter.
Clio and Charlie meet through their children in one of the funniest episodes I have ever seen. In spite of that, neither of them is looking for a relationship. However, the kids’ friendship forces them to see each other often.
This is a wonderful heartfelt romance that is sweet, funny and feels very Christmas-like.
Charlie’s life has changed drastically as have his priorities. His father is dying. At the same time he’s is struggling to adjust to being the father of a six year old. Grace’s mother never told him about his daughter. Now Charlie is bringing her up after her mother’s death. I sympathized with what’s happened. He feels that he’s lost control of his life. Can he make the adjustments? Life is going to get more complicated when he meets Cleo. She’s a widow with a son the same age as Grace. The two children have a disagreement over ice cream which quickly involves their parents. Not an auspicious start to a sweet romance. Cleo works at a law firm where she’s harassed by one of the partners. She needs her paycheck. I hated to see her taken advantage of. Her son, Harris, is her pride and joy. When he tangles with Grace, she gets in Charlie’s face. Their attraction hit a serious roadblock. I wondered what would happen next. I was glad that Charlie didn’t give up easily. Grace has suffered so much pain in her life, that she’s afraid to take a chance. I wanted her to open her heart. Letting Go This Christmas is an emotional story that touched my heart. Everyone deserves a chance to move forward and live their life to the fullest. Natasha Queen pulled me in to this story. I enjoy coming back to Pecan Grove and seeing familiar characters. Their dialogue is both sassy and sweet. I care for these people. I want them to be happy. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next in this small Texas town.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a lovely story about two young families and how they meet and twine themselves together over the Christmas season.
I have many thoughts after reading this book. While it didn’t grab my attention it definitely kept my attention. Cleo’s work place, harassment, lack of work ethics, she put up with a lot of stuff, but not participating in it. Jet, I was saying her exact words when she was talking to Dax’s driver, let it be Jet, over n over.
The closeness Cloe had with her dad n Harris, as well as the closeness Charlie had with his mom Mary. I could picture her face with the part of her watching the chillins n what happened. And Charlie’s gift to Cleo was incredible n straight from the heart, which brought tears to me eyes. And an outright laugh at the jacket fake fur moment with Megan n Cleo, that was hilarious n could picture Megan’s victory smile.
We first met Charlie in Fake Fiance Fiasco and am happy to see his story in this Pecan Grove story. Leah and Charlie’s introduction is not auspicious to a Happily Ever After, but as they come to know each other and they, along with their children, start to bond, things start to look up for them.
This is another wonderful story from Ms. Queen that should not be missed. Even though it is part of series, it is a stand-alone story and can be read even if you’ve not read the previous books in the series.
I highly recommend the purchase of this wonderful, heart-warming holiday romance.

So much sadness. As a mom, I love all the angles given with children and the raising of them. This book was really well done. I enjoyed it immensely. Wonderful characters and a great storyline. I’d love to see some more books borne out of the stories of some of the other characters mentioned!

Cleo is a widow with a daughter. Her spouse died while on active duty overseas. Charlie is a professional photographer who found out he had a daughter when she was 3. The two children meet and immediately start fighting. This will be a rough road to any romance for their parents. Cute, clean story with some interesting twists. I received this ARC copy and enjoyed it. I really liked fiesty female characters and of course the children.
