Molly Alcott didn¿t expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the man she¿ll never forget.
Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a … Each heals a wound. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly¿s heart.
The letters are full of promise, hope and love, but truth be told, Molly wishes she could unread them all.
Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one sending them.

My Dearest Devney,
I thought that I knew the depth and the power of the books that you have already published. Letters to Molly surpassed all of that; you gave so much in this book to make even the most jaded person believe in second chances. You did not give a story that was easy by any means. Each time I went to read it, I was waiting with bated breath on what emotion you would next invoke inside me. This was truly a journey of self-love, self-worth, and a love that endures not only divorce, separate lives, co-parenting, but one of the hardest betrayals that marriage can encounter. I did not want this book to end. This will be a favorite re-read for years to come.
This will surely be a book that has joined the ranks of my favorite books of ALL TIME!
Molly and Finn are PURE PERFECTION!
Bottom of my soul, thank you for making me believe in love, once again.
Yours,
Shauna
Holy book hangover! Letters to Molly broke me apart, and then was able to put me back together.
Finn and Molly divorced about six years ago, but have been able to find a place where they can get along for the sake of their kids. They are able to have dinner every once in a while, take short trips as a family, all for their Kali and Max. But underneath, Finn and Molly care about each other, but that doesn’t make it easy for them. Until letters that Finn wrote to Molly over the course of their relationship begin to show up in Molly’s mailbox. This causes Finn and Molly to confront their feelings and delve into all of the reasons- because one event is not the only event- that their marriage failed.
There were so many unique qualities in Letters to Molly. I loved how Finn referred to Molly as “darling”, knowing that she loved that nickname. It was evident in the letters how he was feeling based on his usage of this nickname. I loved how letters- ones that were never supposed to be sent- were the catalyst to bringing Finn and Molly back together, forcing them to face their faults. I loved the rawness of the letters; you really were able to feel the emotions that Finn was experiencing in the letters.
Letters to Molly tackled so much. Through this, Finn and Molly learn that blame is easy, forgiving is hard, and that trust has to be rebuilt.
I cannot say enough great things about Letters to Molly! I think this may be Devney Perry’s best book yet!~
