Lethal Secret – Cavendish & Walker Book 4more
A MESMERIZING THRILLER !
Detective Chief Inspector Whitney Walker is working at Lenchester police station.
Next to her job, she likes to sing in a choir, preparing for the november concert.
At the choir she met a particularly attractive man. But Whitney only has time for work.
One evening, she received a phone call from her colleague : there was a suicide to check immediately.
At the place, she discovered a dead young girl with a blue rope/cord around the neck…
An incredible investigation has just begun…

I particularly loved this volume 4 of the adventures of DCI Whitney Walker and “George” Cavendish !
I couldn’t put the book down because the plot was so much interesting : several suicides, a mysterious cult and the irresistible duo Whitney and George !
A very gripping book that I do recommend.
Follow the blue rope…
I wouldn’t have guessed the end…
If you like DSI Whitney Walker books, you’ll like this one. Her and Dr George are now friends and working well together. Suicides are happening and a police officer notices they look alike. Thanks Sally for my ARC copy of this book. The person who did it was on my short list of suspects.
Another really good murder mystery, this time set in a Wellness Center – or is it a cult? Love these intriguing mysteries. They keep me on edge til the very end. I received an ARC of this book.
Whitney and George are back! The book takes place shortly after the last. I like that they pick up where the last one left off in their personal lives. There is a new case for them to work on. Once again the books layout the resolution step by step. I like this approach to the story. I enjoyed the story and am already looking forward to the next. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
It held my interest throughout. Wasn’t the usual murder mystery.
Characters are fun and there is enough tension to generate interest to keep reading but the plots tend to be repetitive. 3 murders happen and then a break in the case is found.
Love this book! Memorable characters, great story line.
This book is about unexplained deaths linked to a cult. A detective and forensic psychologist investigate the group they suspect of being a cult.
In reading “Lethal Secret” first, I’m joining the Cavendish & Walker Crime Fiction series a little late in the game; but still found it an interesting dynamic concept between a forensic psychologist & a DCI. Previous information wasn’t necessary to enjoy this book.
Another great entry in the Cavendish & Walker series!
Ms. Rigby does it again. What seems at the beginning three unrelated “suicides” turn into another classic Cavendish and Walker who-done-it. Well written, well staged. Basic sleuthing 101 to the nth degree. Read it.
Closures on the supporting casts would be good.
I became very enthralled with the portrait of the “Wellness Center.” Thinking I could never be sucked in and then following along with Cavendish made me look at things differently.
This PG13 British procedural filled all my free time over 23 hours, which was probably ten actual reading hours. Never saw the ending coming. I had an ARC and this voluntary review is my own opinion.
Always exciting
I received a free advance copy from the author Sally Rigby for my honest review. With ‘Lethal Secret’, the author spins a tale that offers up multiple red herring suspects, mix in a few twist and turns, a dash of suspense and it’s easy to figure out whodunnit due to how it’s written.
Liked this one better than ‘Deadly Games’, like the growth between DCI Whitney Walker and Dr. Georgia Cavendish, they have chemistry, become friends and be exciting to see whats next in their next adventure.
I found it took a few chapters to hook me in, but the best part of this read is the trickery the author uses, casually your introduced to the three main characters at the spiritual center. She cleverly uses several as red herring suspects, even a boyfriend gets thrown in, makes you worry about the doctor, while innocently trying too quit smoking and definitely a worthy read to enjoy.
DCI Whitney Walker and forensic scientist Dr. “George” Cavendish are back together again! Their friendship has grown in a realistic manner, and their conversations are typical repartee between friends who accept each other as is. I love the way her team works together, each doing his/her assignment, bringing it together, & solving the case. They look after each other, almost knowing what will be needed before the request spoken. To me this shows a respect for police and the work that they do! The investigation unfolds logically; connections are not convoluted. A couple of red herrings to keep the reader off balance, but the ending is “why didn’t I see this coming?” = a great mystery!
LETHAL SECRETS….#4….. Sally Rigby
We have the 4th book in this series, with a complex crime to figure out.
Why three girls after being at a wellness yoga retreat hang themselves.
Whitney and George. As they delve into this and find out what was really going on at this place.Giving us a tense filled plot and to stop before more lives are taken. The author gives us a nice flowing plot and keeps one interest to the end….Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
I really enjoyed Sally Rigby’s latest installment in this series. Good twists and turns, good “smarmy” potential perpetrators, lots of good old-fashioned detective work, along with some undercover, and the relationship between DCI Walker and Dr. Cavendish just keeps getting better.
This is a fantastic series! There are three suicides however when a cop is called to the third one they were also the one to see the first two. They said there were similarities between the three. Well when DCI Whitney gets called in from choir practice she also sees that these three could be murders and not suicides. She also has a possible love interest from choir. As the investigation proceeds there are many twists n turns that make it all the more interesting. Between DCI Whitney, Claire and George they all have their parts to play and they are the best at what they do. George even volunteers to go undercover, Eve tough she’s not a cop, but works for them. Will the three along with DCI Whitney‘a team be able to find the murderer before he/she kills again? DCI Whitney’s boss is putting more work on her and spreading her thin. Will she have enough time devoted to the case ? Wonderful characters and a realistic story. This series is well worth reading! Highly recommend reading!!!!
I received this as an ARC for my honest and voluntary review.
