I just loved this steampunk/women warrior/dragon shifter/Wild West adventure. It was creative, original, captivating, and full of terrific characters and capable women. Betrayal, injustice, sorrow, family dynamics, friendship, destiny, and courage were some of the underlying themes, and the steampunk inventions were described in thrilling detail. The author had a wonderful writing style, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
The book is a good paranormal romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

Interesting story with a strong heroine who will do anything to save her family’s inn. But what she agrees to do opens up a whole new world for her. The story is well written and keeps you interested.
I’ve read the author’s Dragon Royalty series and I have to say this one may very well be my new favorite! What a fun story! The characters are all like-able, or you love to hate some, and I was attached to them right from the start!
The details in this story are so well done and added so much to the setting and the characters. The plot kept my attention from start to finish. Never once did I feel bored or felt like the story dragged on. The details written into the plot all made sense and only added true value to the storyline.
Elizabeth is a strong and kick butt woman who can take care of herself. When she finds out her true family story, wow! The inclusion of steam punk styled clothing and steam powered items was really cool to read and gave the story a cutting edge feel! I personally would love to own a ChiChi someday! You’ll have to read the book to know what I mean and I promise once you know, you’ll want one too!
Hunter, one of the main male characters, is a good guy who obviously likes Elizabeth and looks to help her as much as possible. A strong, confident, and genuine man, without being an arrogant jerk. His love of science and inventions coincides nicely with Elizabeth’s and makes their connection intriguing and interesting to watch unfold.
This is a great read and another amazing story falling in line with the previous dragon tales from the author.
A quick and really fun read! Well worth your time!

Interesting and Exciting!!
Very excellent and interesting story. I loved all the components that have gone into this story. We have many different characters and they all play a vital role in the story.
We watch the characters grow with each turn of the page and you find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next.
Until Next Time… Tabi

Steampunk books are still a new concept for me, and ones I didn’t really think I would get into. However, the few I’ve read have always kept my attention and in the end I ended up enjoying them immensely. Let the Shadows Fall is a different take with steampunk and paranormal mixed! Any book that adds a bit of paranormal will always be something I need to get my hands on.
Elizabeth O’Grady thought for sure life would be a bit easier for her mother and her after her step-father died. After all they now had O’Grady Inn and would get to run it how they wanted. However, she soon learns that instead of celebrating her and her mother are drowning in debt left by her step-father. Too make matters worse, the debt is held by the Randalls.
For her mother, Elizabeth will do whatever it takes to make sure she has work and a place to live. But in Alana Creek not everything is as it seems. Secrets were even kept from Elizabeth by her own mother. But not all secrets can be kept and when Elizabeth learns about her family history and her orgins everything changes.
An intriguing blend of steampunk and paranormal. I really enjoyed the concept and the world I’ve never read anything like it and can’t wait to see what happened next.
Elizabeth thought everything was okay but unfortunately, her step-father owed debts and the family inn is now owned by the Randalls. She has to do what she can to get it back. Even going so far as to confront an angry dragon. Let’s hope her chaps and spurs are fireproof.
4 out of 5 stars
Welcome to Alana Creek , where outlandish parties and shoot outs are the normal. The wild west has never been so crazy. Elizabeth and her mother run a hotel. After Elizabeth’s step dad dies they find out about all the debts that are owed to the Randalls . Now the Randalls own the inn and now Elizabeth needs to help out the Randalls get something . That is when Elizabeth finds out the town is full of shifters , witches and mythical creatures and hunters . Will they be able to steal the dragons egg and will Elizabeth finally realize what she truly is .
The characters are well written , Elizabeth is a complicated character she is strong willed but also a little naïve in some ways . She has so much to deal with but when push comes to shove she is a fighter . When she finds out what she truly is she takes it in stride. There are so many characters in this book that are all well written and you will fall in love with them and hate them also . Hunter is another character I really liked . He is a good guy and wants to help Elizabeth out as much as he can . He is the strong sweet type of guy you would love to get to know.
I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into when I started this book. I was pleasantly surprised and I really enjoyed the story. The characters will pull you in and the twist on the story when the dragon story line appears was so good . The author takes us on an adventure that will have you cheering through out . This is a quirky mash up of the old west , steam punk and the paranormal . I read this book in an evening . So if you like quirky books check it out and add it to your winter reading list
First off I LOVE steampunk. Its sooo cool and just you can do so many things with it. This is closer to an Urban Fantasy. There are a vast variety of characters and paranormal at that. I did enjoy reading it. I did have a few issues with some of it though. Mostly it was character based and I think more was needed to round out some of the characters better. I liked Elizabeth and found her to be a strong female character….heck she even boxes. What confused me about her was she had these fighting skills but she never used them! Especially against Ethan and Foster. So, I wasnt sure why she was written more like a damsel instead of a strong female I know she is. Her Mom Caitlyn was cool and I liked her. Yeah she kept a few biggg secrets from Elizabeth but she eventually told her even if the circumstances were forced. In regards to where she was from and what she is…it wasn’t very clear. Not really a witch so we dont really get much in the way of what she is. Its not explained well at least to me. Hunter Hunter. I liked him but he just confused me a lot. You know he had a huge thing for Elizabeth but for some reason that wasnt explained he never went after her and she married someone else. With Elizabeth it was mutual but I’m not sure what stopped her either unless its because his family owns the town. Ha. He seemed oblivious to others around him a little. In his own world so to speak. He had a couple douche moments but meh he’s alright I guess. I dont think he knows what he really wants because he wavers a lot. Anywho, I liked the book but again I had some issues with it. I wanted more details on things but this is a novella and could easily turned into a novel if she went deeper. Ends of a slight cliffhanger. This isnt a romance although there is a bit of something between Hunter and Elizabeth but who knows where it will go if anywhere.
Welcome to Elizabeth O’Grady’s life where things are not exciting unless you count the wake for her step-father, but wait, there’s more to this story. There is also more to Elizabeth then meets the eye and you won’t believe what that is. The town of Alana Creek has many secrets that very few know about but more people are going to find out about them. Throw in the setting of the old west, plus Dragons, a Lycanthrope , Goddesses , and of course villains ,you will never be bored reading this book. I have never read any kind of Steampunk book but I enjoyed this one and hope to read more of this series
Let the Shadows Fall by Terri A. Wilson is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about dragons, fantasy and paranormal romances.

Sometimes a quest to learn your history reveals more than you expected. Elizabeth and her Mom run the O’Grady Inn. After her step dad dies, she finds out there’s debt and the Randall family owns the inn. In exchange for freedom, they lay out a bargain for her to steal an artifact from a dragon. Liz finds out her town, Alanna Creek is not what it seems and home to many paranormals. During her quest, she finds out a lot about herself, her family history and how her family relates to the rest of the paranormals. Is she up to the challenge? Will the dragon cooperae? Will the Randals keep their end of the bargain? We meet some really cool characters during Lis’s quest. Does she succeed? Is her Mom aware of the paranormal neighbors? Great story! Fantastic start to a new series. My only disagreement, was she fair to Gus? Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
A well written story that held my interest throughout a new series called The Shadows Series and I want to read the next book. What has Ethan just agreed to we should find out in the next book. I enjoyed reading, this is a different type of story than I am use to. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Elizabeth thought the Inn belonged to her family. She was wrong, but did find out about her family and friends. There is a cliffhanger and I hope the next book addresses the Elizabeth/Hunter and Rebecca’s relationships. Good read.

When PNR meets the Wild West
This book is another jewel in the authors crown! Her take on the Wild West brings so many new characters to love with a story line that kept me enthralled until the very end. A bargain to save her family’s business opens Elizabeth’s eyes to an entire world she never knew existed, and thankfully, she took me along for the ride. I hope the author brings us many new stories from Alana Creek, I can’t wait to visit again.
