Aurthor’sNote: Let Me In contains Daddy kink with mild BDSM and domestic discipline between consenting adults. It is part of The Boys Club series, but can be read as a stand alone. No cliffhanger.

Too much telling, not enough showing.
This book sure did tell me a lot. It told me about how Liam struggled. It told me how much he wanted a daddy. It told me how Cash was a successful businessman. It told me how Cash wanted to connect with Liam but held himself back. But it didn’t SHOW me those things. I really wanted to see more of Liam and Cash actually together. We get lots of set up but not a ton of actual time between just the two of them.
Cash, to me, came off as having this savior complex. I get him wanting to take care of his boy, but Liam’s sister and his mother was a bit of overkill to me. The whole last part of this story was Cash cleaning up Liam’s family situation. Again, I would have better appreciated seeing more relationship time with Liam and Cash.
There was definitely some on page steam I appreciated. The role playing was super sexy. There just wasn’t enough of it. I did enjoy the book overall, but I did find myself struggling to get through the last 25% or so.
I love Liam and what he had gone through. He really needs Cash to be the person in charge. I also like Liam’s sister and how he encourages him. There is so many missteps at the beginning of the story. There were times that I felt so frustrated with these guys. The really needed to learn to communicate and be honest with each other.
I listened to the audio version which was very enjoyable.
Let Me In is the first book in The Boys Club, and we meet Liam, who at only twenty is already dealing with a tough hand in life. He is working three jobs to try and put food on the table, as well as saving for his sister’s education, AND to get them out of the town they currently live in. When an offer is made to him, it seems too good to be true, but eventually, he goes with his heart. Cash is sad to see his current boy, Tommy, leave, but he knows it’s for the best. What he doesn’t expect is for Tommy to find him a new boy!
Things start of badly with Cash being under pressure, and not knowing anything about what’s going on. However, that didn’t stop him from acting like a jerk after that, much to Liam’s hurt. I loved how Liam proved himself to be stronger than he thought, as well as putting his self-care first. He found new friends, got himself out of the situation, and tried to move on. Of course, it’s after it happens that Cash realises just what a golden nugget he had in Liam.
This book was very easy to read, with no editing or grammatical errors that I noted. It is a very sweet book, whilst also being steamy in scenes. It is actually Cash who has to do the most growing in this book, and it was great to see him finally let Liam in. Although this book is complete, in and of itself, I would love to continue with this series, and I also hope Carter has his book. I really want to know his story.
If you like Daddy kink, then I can definitely recommend this book!

Archaeolibrarian – I Dig Good Books!
The feels this book will take you on is completely unreal. The highs and lows, are so beautifully crafted. I just want to wrap Liam up and hold him tightly. He truly deserves the world. As for Cash his insecurities and fears made him so much more tangible. I loved it.
