The Eva Rae series is outstanding and all page-turners. Difficult to put down once you start them.
A book about “swatting” that is committed with sometimes deadly consequences, or at least certainly scary moments. Unfortunately, “swatting”is a true phenomenon in our society today. This crime has Eva Rae searching day and night following swatting stories all over the country, trying to find a pattern to the killer. Figuring out who the next victim will be, she tries to warn the next family, to no avail. Only after another killing does help come from an unexpected source. Taking us on the hunt is what this author does best. Willow Rose has written another book of suspense with a relentless heroine.
Willow Rose continues to impress me with each and every book, I read.
This one was a nail biting thriller that every parent should read. This exact harrowing event happened not more than 4 hours from where I live and so I was enthralled by this plot. Keep these wonderful books coming, they are a murder-mystery-thriller’s dream.
This was an edge of your seat story; hard to put down; good writing and great characters. I highly recommend it.

I don’t get out much and don’t watch or listen to the news. So if swatting is actually a thing nowadays, I’m not aware of it. That’s why I rate this book very unique and creative! And there’s also the unpredictable end again. I would have never guessed! Number 6 almost ready yet? Willow, you’ve quickly become one of my favorite authors! I’m on to Itsy Bitzy Spider now…
I’m writing this on the fly, because I am out of town, but I don’t want you to think that Willow Rose has not done her job in this series. I love Eva Rae and it is a good thing that Matt is a very patient man. Not weak, just believing in Eva and her deepest need – to save people. She’s not arrogant. She’s not looking for attention. She quietly goes about the business at hand, saving innocents.
Let Me Go, for me, feels different from a lot of her stories. It is not your typical serial killer visiting havoc on others.
The climate of fear and the expectation of violence accelerates the serious risk of overreaction and excessive use of force.
I can understand that quote. I can empathize with law enforcement, but when an innocent is involved, we need to question what’s happening and look for some solutions.
I loved it when seven year old Alex said, ” Matt. We need to talk.” Out of the mouth of babes.
This is a frightening eye opener of the possibilities for mayhem and madness to run riot from a chair at a computer. Swatting. Ever heard of it? I’m not sure I have, but the thought is terrifying. To know by one phone call, a life can be forfeit.
Let Me Go is a truly frightening look at a realistic plan, because of one man’s need for revenge. This may also be a wake up call for parents to keep an eye on what your kids are doing on the computer.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Let Me Go by Willow Rose.

When I first started to read this book I thought this isn’t like Willow Rose’s books. It was sort of bland. As I read further along, boy was I WRONG!!! Eva Rae was the only person to believe a swattter was the person doing this. This swatter was calling in false info about bombings and other threats. Now the swatter was calling in about people who were threating other people with guns. She also believed the swatter was a serial killer.
Matt, her long time love moved into her house with his son, Elijah. She was so involved with finding the swatter that she wasn’t paying attention to Matt. She also hadn’t grieved about the death of her former Husband and the father of her children, Chad. She was being twisted into to many pieces and needed time to sort out her personal feelings.
As the story move on we meet some old and new characters in Eva Rae’s life. She finally realizes who the killer is and almost loses her own life. Unfortunately, someone close to her does get very seriously hurt,
I think this is one of the author, Willow Rose, best books. It has mystery, suspense, twists and turns and reads like your “eating chocolate.” I can’t wait for the next Eva Rae story to come out.
I had several books by Willow Rose on my TBR pile and so when I was given the opportunity of a free ARC, it was heaven-sent. And OMG what good decision this was. This story was so good and exciting that I actually feel stupid for not starting earlier with reading her work. Even though this is number 5 in the series, you can read it perfectly well without having read the previous books. It’s always better to read the books in order to keep the timeline from the secondary stories intact though.
The story is built around a sad but all too true phenomenon of swatting; the practice of fabricating a crime story so that a SWAT-team is sent to the house of innocent, blissfully ignorant victims. And given the general tension in American society and their weapons mania, sometimes the victims do not survive this “prank”. In this book, the swatter happens to come on Eva Rae’s radar who desperately tries to avoid that more victims will be made. But who is he, why and how does he choose the people he targets, when will he make his next call? At the same time, she hasn’t properly grieved her husband’s death and her house gets crowded with both her mother and her boyfriend Matt and his son staying at her house.
Love her writing!
Eva Rae Thomas has only one way to solve a crime: all stops out, full-speed ahead, focused totally on the investigation — at the expense of her family and her boyfriend. The addictive plot of this book pits her against a culprit setting up online gamers to be killed by SWAT teams summoned by fake 9-1-1 calls. Eva figures out his murderous strategy, but can’t convince any police with her predictions of the next victims. All she can do is try to solve the mastermind’s identity, and that sends her chasing across the country. This is another nail-biter in the series from the darkly imaginative Willow Rose.
Highly recommend this series, not just this book. Eva Rae’s life is never easy it seems. For someone who is retired from law enforcement you’d never know it by her day-to-day life. She may be a retired profiler but you can’t shutdown what your brain chooses to do. You’re going to have to read it to see how things turn out.
This entire series is amazing, and this latest doesn’t disappoint!
Another thrilling page turner in the Eva Rae series. A series of events where the police are called about someone holding a gun on family members. When the swat teams arrives a victim gets shot by police. A gamer called the Swatter calls police from a great distance away, only it looks like the calls originate at the house where the action takes place. Eva Rae gets involved in a race to find the killer before more lives are taken.
Gripping romantic thriller! Eva Rae is confounded by a killer who tricks the most unlikely people into killing for him! The writing is compelling. (Though parts between Matt and Eva are annoying.) This series has been one roller coasting page turner after another! 4.5 stars.
Voluntarily read ARC for honest review.
I received an ebook from the author with a request to voluntarily leave a review. I just recently started reading Willow Rose books and I’m certainly glad I did. Her plots are extraordinary with believable characters. This book will keep you turning pages just to see what’s going to happen next. If you enjoy mystery, suspense, and thrills you need to pick up this book. Enjoy!
Willow Rose has another hit on her hands with Let Me Go! Eva Rae is trying to do the right thing and warn people about a serial killer, even though there are no dead bodies. No one really believes her. But that doesn’t stop Eva from going after the killer. There are so many thrilling moments in this story and when the real killer is finally revealed!!! OH MY!!! Never saw that one coming!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Eva Rae Thomas, a former FBI profiler, stumbles upon a serial killer… One that kills from a distance. Attempting to save a young man’s life, Eva flies to Philadelphia to meet with his father; however, he dismissed Eva Rae as a nutcase, or a sensation seeker…. As Eva Rae and Liam delve deeper into the world of online gaming, Eva Rae is desperate to not only prevent further deaths, but to uncover the true identity of this hidden killer, who identified himself as FaZeYourFearS…. But as Eva wrestles with the situation, her home life with Matt is undergoing a sea change…
The escalating violence and senseless murders leave Eva reeling. Who is behind this? Why? What is his driving force? Eva Rae knows time is running out….
Eva Rae has stumbled upon a killer. A person who swats electronic gamers and they are getting killed by police. Eva Rae is trying to determine the next target and the motive of the killer. She is so involved, she ignores her family and Matt, her love, who has just moved in with her family, along with his son.
Eva Rae is totally consumed and engages the father of one of the victims to aid her in her mission.
This book covers a scary trend in the US. There are twists and turns in the story and the ending is exciting and unexpected. I’ve read the previous books in this series, but I think this one is even better than the others.
Eva Rae has stumbles on a chain of events that rouses her curiosity and has her investigating on-line gamers. Her profiling skills lead her to a famous TV chef, when he tries to warn him that his son is in danger from a serial swatter, he chooses not to believe her. Unfortunately, her dogged determination to find the person responsible for so many innocent people dying at the hands of law enforcement could put the lives of everyone she loves in danger.
This author’s characters are always well written and complex, and I always find them fascinating. This plot is absolutely terrifying, believable, and has many surprising and unexpected twists that keep you turning the pages well after bedtime. Fantastic book, I loved it!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
What a gripping story! Great characters, good plot, amazing storyline, what more could you ask for?!! This book kept me captivated chapter after chapter and it was impossible to put down. I enjoyed every word and I am looking forward to reading the next book
