Sexy. Spanish. Rockstar. Trouble.Studying abroad in Spain is a total escape for me. An escape from real life, from the pressures of college, and, most importantly, an escape from the drama surrounding my parents’ divorce. If I hook up with hot Madrileños along the way? All the better. When I meet gorgeous Spaniard Javier Montoya at a bar, I assume our hook-up is just a one time thing. Yeah, he’s … just a one time thing. Yeah, he’s the sexiest guy I’ve ever slept with. But he’s also the guitarist for one of the hottest bands in Europe. With his reputation, I know I need to keep things casual.
But when our one night stand blossoms into genuine friendship, Javier starts to wonder out loud if I’m the “forever girl” he’s been looking for.
Too bad I believe forever is more fiction than fairy tale. I’m a first-hand witness to the nasty the divorce my parents are going through, and there’s no way Javier can convince me that fairy tales exist. Hot sex? Yes. Happily Ever After? Absolutely not.
But this sexy Spaniard is out to prove me wrong…

Very enjoyable read, great story, interesting characters and guaranteed HEA.
Loved it!
I highly recommend this book. I find this book funny and sexy. Loved the characters Javier and Maddie as Jessica has such a great way of writing characters that you find yourself hating one character or feeling sorry for the other. I think Javier is one of my favorite male characters.
HOLY HANNAH! This one is a hot one!! I can’t tell you how much I loved, loved, loved this one!! A chance meeting and instant chemistry. The characters are genuine and their emotions are real, absolutely loved their connection.
When your trust is shattered where can you go and who can you turn to? Can you ever trust again? Or do you just have to learn to rely on yourself?
Maddie’s heart has been demolished and she has decided for now to live for the moment.
Javier, is ready to change his rockstar ways and settle down. Could Maddie be that girl or is a past love waiting in the wings?
Their chemistry is undeniable, their interests are so compatible yet each one has different ideas on the future.
This is at times a heartbreaking story. Then there are the other moments of passion, culture and adorable moments. The love you feel coming through is undeniable to everyone, except to Maddie and Javier.
Watching them maneuver through these emotions was at times gut wrenching and other times beautiful. Having your self esteem demolished is something I can’t imagine.
Along the way we are taken on a beautiful cultural experience.
If you’ve read the previous book you’ll become reacquainted with characters from the past book. If you haven’t read it don’t worry it won’t inhibit your enjoyment.
I really enjoyed this book and think you will too.
Maddie did redeem herself in this one a little. Javier really comes through though. He’s ready to settle down. Just not with who he thought he wanted. Madrid was never really on my list of places to go, but this series is helping it win me over. I’m looking forward to the next one.
I have to be honest, I didn’t like this book much at first. I didn’t like Maddie at all. That certainly changed as I read further! Maddie and Javier have a complicated relationship, mostly because Maddie is one complicated woman. She thinks she is broken beyond repair. Javier thinks she is maybe bruised but can heal. His patience wins in the end! I recommend this book and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Javier and Maddie’s story was just as great as book 1 in the study abroad series. My only thing with this book is Maddie was just a bit immature for me, that’s my personal taste though so it’s nothing against the book or author. I love the continuance of the all the girls and their wine nights and just how it ties in so flawlessly with book 1. The heat between Maddie and javier is off the charts as usual per Jessica’s writing!
