He was eighteen. The heir to a notorious, criminal MC. And my student. There was no way I could get involved. No way I could stay involved. Then, no way I could get out alive. An MC student/teacher romance.
Cressida is groomed from a young age to take the place of her fathers best friends wife to be the perfect trophy wife and live in stepford bliss. But Cressida has a epiphany that at 26 she is not ready for the bland sexless marriage with roasts on the table at five and the benign affection from her husband that she once idolized. So she leaves him and moves closer to her job and the Private high school a few towns over. After a night on the back of a strangers bike she comes to realize that the guys she’s crushing on is actually her student and heir to the local MC. Naturally horrified she refuses anything but King is persistent and while he may be young she is in many ways less mature than he is, because of her sheltered life, so they are well matched. Eventually he wears her down and I really enjoyed how hard he fought for her and his poets soul. There were times where I wanted to smack Cressida because she is very immature at times and I loved Kings patience with her and even when he loses it those scenes were great and emotional.
As with most MC books this one had the found family trope and I loved it. I was highly intrigued by Kings Dad Zeus and want to know more about him. Cressida and King were a very sweet couple when they were together and I liked that the age gap trope was flipped in this one and the woman was the older one. Overall I enjoyed it alot and this actually touched on the issues of a student teacher relationship in a real way discussing the consequences and while they didn’t have any real fall out I appreciated that it was addressed.

This is my first age gap romance. I thought I’d hate it, but it kinda grows on ya.
This series is about a group of bikers who deal in drugs and beat people who mess with their women. I loved it so much. Especially the way they say, “my woman”. There is an age gap with a young teacher and her student who is 18 years old, but he acts older so it’s not totally weird. The romance was a bit quick for me. Once King makes up his mind he’s set and that’s a bit like insta-love, but it wasn’t that bad.
King: Stubborn. That’s the best way to describe him. He doesn’t give up. He’s experienced and that’s a turn on because he’s so young with that experience. And the way he says her name
I love that he insists her name is Miss Irons instead of Mrs.
“I am so far from ‘yours’ that I would rather be anyone else’s.”
“Sure, Cress, I gotcha.”
“Mrs. Irons,” I corrected him.
“For now, Miss Irons.”
My main problem is his speech dialect. It’s not as bad as Zeus’s, but it’s still there. I don’t know what to think. Maybe if I heard it in person it would be better. And every time he says, “babe”. That drives me to the edge of insanity. I really hate that word. I don’t know what my issue is with it. I absolutely love how King gets his dad to do stuff for him! And I can’t believe Zeus actually pretends he’s with Cress. I feel like he doesn’t act like a dad to his children. It’s so weird the way he “parents”.
Cress: I almost disliked her, probably because she kept resisting him and then they got together anyway. I’ve read many like that, but I somehow didn’t like it in this book. I do love how tough she is, especially at the end! That was the best ending ever. AWESOME. And maybe that makes me crazy, but I don’t care.
I found myself on the edge of my seat, ready for the next best thing to happen. I was surprised none of her students noticed what was happening at the front of the room when he was doing his presentation. I love the library scene! I’m so glad I discovered this author through my friend. I’m also glad to be a part of a 12 person buddy read on WhatsApp. I can’t wait to read the next books.
This is the first (and definitely not the last) book I read by this author.
It had an awesome plot, eletric pace and it was also deep with solid characters.
I loved King. He was intense, multi-layered, incredibly smart (both book-smart and street-smart). He knew what he wanted and went for it unabashedly, but also with grace, purpose and his own kind of class. He was the ultimate royalty in their peculiar world.
I liked Cress, but I wanted to like her more. I mean, I understood where she came from and it’s hard to change roots after being sucked so deeply by rotten, uptight forces.
So it made sense that she was judgemental at times and I couldn’t even blame it on her, but on her background. On the other hands, sometimes she acted as if she were even younger than King. He was actually the mature one in their relationship.
Even so, they were amazing together, they fit and made sense, and I loved that she was older (even though I thought their gap was more pronounced) and had the taboo thing going on.
Awesome story and I can’t wait to dive into the next ones.

Absolutely obsessed with King and Cressida! They have a love for all ages. At first I thought I wouldn’t like the fact that the woman was the older character but Giana worked them so beautifully through the story that I forgot who is who. King was such a dominant presence and I am absolutely in love with him.

I absolutely ADORE King and his Queenie. They were everything and more. Wow, just wow. I honestly don’t know if I can even put my thoughts together right now. I am just shook to the core. This book was soo damn good.
This is a student/teacher, angsty, age gap romance, the heroine-who is the teacher-being older than the hero. I love the Fallen MC and their relationship, that brotherhood and sense of family that can be hard for a lot of people to find. And Giana just does it so well. So flawlessly.
5/5 stars. Highly highly recommend you read it. Honestly just binge read all of Giana’s books. You won’t regret it.

In Lessons in Corruption we follow King (18) and Cress (26). King is the son of the current MC president. And Cress is getting a divorce after 8 years of marriages.
Cress and King first lock eyes in a parking lot. A little after that they start a fling. Cess feels free and herself. What Cess doesn’t know is that her new student is none other then King…
This book took me completely by surprised. I normally don’t really read age gaps were the woman is older then the man. But I have heard nothing but great things about Giana Darling and wanted to give it a shot. And boy oh boy am I happy I did. When I wanted to start reading Lessons in Corruption I was scared that King would come across as to immature but he was all man. King was a total sweetheart to Cress and did everything to make her feel like a queen.
There are moments were Cress is doubting herself in there relationships. She isn’t sure that she will fit in in Kings world.
When I was reading about Cress and King I just new they needed to be together from the first time they locked eyes in the parking lot. That’s how good the writing was. I didn’t need to see them fully interact with each other to know they belonged together.
The two of them have a difficult journey a head of them… but will it be worth it at the end?
The falling man series has quickly become one of favorites. Whenever I’m in a reading slump or don’t know what to read I quickly turn to one of the books in the Fallen Man Series.
This book was absolutely amazing! The character. The writing. The intro. The description. The build up… and don’t even get me started on those fiery scenes….
Giana Darling has enraptured me within this story and it definitely is a delicious story of corruption.
You can’t help but fall in love with King.
He is absolutely everything you want in an alpha male.
He knows what he wants and he’s willing to be straight forward and tell it like it is.
There is a lot of conflict and drama, of course. The forbidden always have.
Amazing tale of lust, love, and giving in to what makes us happy…

I love a “forbidden” romance. Cress in her mid-twenties is coming out of a unloving, manipulative marriage when she unknowingly falls for her 18 year old student King Kyle Garro. King is the son of local MC President Zeus Garro, he’s an old soul who loves large. Beautiful story with a ton of sexy scenes.

What rock have I been living under not to have known about this book before? Such an enthralling, deliciously filthy taboo read that hit all the right spots. I wasn’t even halfway thru the book when I was already obsessed with the author and her words. I couldn’t get enough! I couldn’t put it down and I’m so sad that it’s over because it was such an amazing story! Can’t wait for the next book!

When I first started The Fallen men series, I read Welcome to the darkside first which is the second book with Zeus and Lou. That book just called to me and I absolutely loved it.
Now Im not a huge fan of the teacher student trope especially if the female is the teacher, but my god. I highly regret not reading this book first and sooner. I did not expect to love it as much as I did.
King is one of the main reasons I loved it, I mean all the boys in the fallen Mc are incredible and sexy and extremely interesting. King surprised me and I loved it. He was a biker boy, he was the prez son and he was born into that life. He knew it was his world and he was proud of it, but he was also a swoony poet. He was smart as hell and wanted to do well in school and succeed. I really enjoyed that. He was extremely real and honest. Also sexy as hell, very dominant aggressive and just know what he wanted and got it.
Now cress (Queenie) annoyed me BUT only because she was so mature and reasonable, I just wanted her to jump King, marry him and have his babies. Fuck the consequences and the bad shit
She was so refreshing because there is consequences with being with a biker in a gang or anyone in a gang or brotherhood. In that lifestyle it’s not always rainbows and sunshine so I really enjoyed that. When she felt like she wasn’t good enough and strong enough for King. And just wanted the best for him and for him to have that strong old lady he would need. But King needed her for so many different reasons and he was never letting her go.
She was also extremely fierce. He stood up for herself and her man and what she believed in. He was not taking no shit. Especially when she did up and leave her ex husband and her overbearing family. She left the only life she knew and went out on her own. With shows so much strength. I admired her alot just like I did with King. They both were just perfect, absolutely perfect.

Lessons in Corruption : 4.5/5 stars
I have to say that King Kyle Garro was the best part of Lessons in Corruption! He is a younger and more soft version of Zeus, the poet, the blonde king who has a big heart.
I do love King, but I can’t get myself to like Cress, I’m not really blaming her for her personality that was due to her environment growing up, but I just have to say she is a bit weak and cowardly for my taste. Like she said, she was not good enough for King.( this is just personal opinion and maybe I’m just having too high of a standard since Welcome to the Dark Side is my fav and I read it before this)
She did make up for it till the end which made me like her more, but I wouldn’t say I like her very much, not compared to the other characters like Lou, Zeus, HR, King. But I think people would still enjoy the book if they like hot teacher and student romance!!!

I don’t usually like books that feature an older woman, younger man dynamic. In this one she’s 26 and he’s 18. But, maybe because King was so mature and so sure of himself, I loved this story. I loved every second of it and I can’t wait to read more of this author 5 stars for sure.

I read this with my Book Tribe Sisters!
I’m not a huge fan of MCs romances… I don’t dislike them either. I love reverse age-gap…BUT that knowing that the hero is in high school made me cringe mostly because I’m a teacher IRL.
All of that said, I was surprised by how much I actually enjoyed this book! King is the hero and let me tell you that they DO NOT make high school boys like this. I have been teaching for close to twenty years and never have I ever seen a young man like this. And… that’s part of what worked for me— I got to indulge in a fantasy. It helped ease my goody-two- shoe nerves that he was technically of age (18) and on the verge of graduating-
.
I loved King. His personality took me off guard at first and then I found it endearing and sexy. I like how he works to empower Cressida not just himself.
.
Cressida is older by 8 years and King’s teacher. She’s trying to rid herself of a bad marriage and trying to find what she wants and who she is in the wake of that. I wanted to see more of her stepping into her own and less of her adopting another man’s lifestyle, but overall I enjoyed her character, and she was written in a way that I could see her stepping into her own more and more.
.
As a couple, they were absolutely on fire. Let’s just say where Cressida is the master of the classroom, King is the master of the bedroom. That’s all.
.
Definitely reading the whole series now.

Lessons in Corruption came across my book loving radar back in February when I was in a mood and needed something to stir things up. Never would I ever have imagined that I would binge read all three books (now there are four) in Gianna Darling’s Fallen Men Series in one weekend. But read them I did and love them I did – HARD.
Lessons in Corruption ticks all my boxes:
It’s a Forbidden
Reverse Age Gap
MC Romance read
Cressida is beautifully damaged in ways that at certain points I had a hard time with but that nonetheless endeared her to me. Her life B.K. (before King), was a kind of hell on earth but A.K. (after King) a place we should all be so lucky to find.
King (talk about an appropriate name) is everything a man should be. Wise beyond his 18 years and determined AF to succeed in everything he does (including and not limited to getting his woman). You will fall for his beautiful mind and filthy mouth and love every second of it.
Their love story is not easy and their happily ever after complicated but watching them fall hard and fast for each other and overcome all the obstacles in their way makes this an unputdownable read. TBR and Enjoy and make sure to read Book 2 – Welcome To The Dark Side – Daddy Zeus’s book next.

You know what I love more than a touch of taboo student/teacher romance? A biker student/teacher romance with the heroine being older! Oh my sweetness – I love Kyle King Garro and Cressida “Queenie” Irons so darn much. King is such a heart melting hopeless romantic and Cressida was a perfect match for him. Giana unfolded their story perfectly, there was a touch of humor, tons of chemistry, steam, and suspense and action to keep me engaged and biting at the bits to see these two get their happy ending.

I have been wanting to read this book for a while and finally felt it was time, why to god I have not read it before now I will never know! What a book, I loved every second of it.
This is my first Darling book and I already know I’ll be devouring her back catalogue over the next few weeks as she is such a captivating author.
This is a MC romance, something I’ve not read a lot of as I find some authors are too cheesy with the MC terminology, this is not the case with this book. The story focuses on Cressida (Cress) and King. Cress is living a life she isn’t happy in with her husband who she married when she was 18 and he was 36. Now at 26 she lives a life of routine with old fashioned wife ways expected of her. One day while out grocery shopping she spots King and is awakened to feelings she didn’t think possible, this lead her to finally confronting her feelings and leaving her husband moving away to a town closer to the school she worked at.
She is out for drinks with work colleagues when she spots the guy she seen while grocery shopping and ultimately made her leave her husband, he spots her and the attraction to each other is instant. He takes her out a few times showing her a life she’s missed out on. A few days later he walks into her class and she quickly realises she’s been going out with her 18 year old student.
King is forceful and knows what he wants and that’s his Queen, Cress. She tries her hardest to keep him at bay but he’s a fighter and won’t let her run and continues to fight for her, which she can’t stop for long as he is relentless. King is everything you would want in a book boyfriend and is alpha male through and through. He’s possessive, damn right dirty, swoon worthy and the sweetest king for his queen and the heat in this book is of the charts.
Their story is written beautifully with a touch of the MC world and I loved every part of it. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

I’m very torn over this book. There are definitely parts I loved. It was hot and sexy, forbidden in the juiciest of ways, and very entertaining. I completely fell in love with King. The boy has some serious sex appeal and he was perfection. He was charismatic, had a killer smile, didn’t take no for an answer, had Cressida’s back no matter matter what, and took care of her in the sweetest of way. Zeus was also quite the heartthrob and King’s dad. I liked how he supported his son no matter his decisions and also had Cressida’s back.
So I had to give this book 3 stars because I didn’t really like Cressida. It annoyed me that Cress always made these snap judgments about King just because family is part of an MC and never truly knew what kind things they were involved in. After a while I got annoyed with her back and forth indecisiveness. She complained about King just being a boy and her student, yet she had no problem with him putting his mouth on her lady bits as extra credit. Then immediately regrets it, yet continues to have sexual relations with him. The constant use of the word badass biker, biker in training, biker bitch, etc by Cress was super annoying and it felt like she was saying because it sounded cool or something. I hated it.
Lessons in Corruption was definitely not my favorite. Even though I loved the men of The Fallen and all craziness came with them, Cressida was hard to get past. Some of the writing isn’t my favorite either even though I’ve loved other books by Giana Darling. I am looking forward to reading out Zeus and maybe finding out more of the Nightstalkers MC and what happened with Cress’s husband.

This book is a work of art. Truly the way Giana writes is magic. Her words are so beautiful. You can just immerse yourself in her words and her stories. I loved reading this. Cress and King’s relationship stands the test of time. They may have an instant connection but it feels like they have been together forever. They are perfectly sinful, A teacher and her student, the son of an MC President and a women who is learning to truly live for the first time. These two come together and it is powerful. King knows what he wants. He may only be eighteen but he is a man and he will go after what he wants no matter what. Cress is fighting hard to find her true self and live the life she has always wanted. King changes everything for her with just one look and she can not deny their connection no matter how much she want too at first. Cress knows it’s wrong to be falling for her student but King is so much more than that and he never stops showing her how different he is. I love that King fights for Cress. He wants her in such a pure and a little deviant way. Cress wants the life King gives her. She really comes into her own and grows so much just by being with King. Their relationship is not smooth sailing. It’s rocky and deviant and so sweetly sinful. I can not get enough. They pull you in and leave you never wanting to let go. All the side characters made this story even sweeter. I love King’s Family and Cress’s Friends. This entire book is wonderful. It is so full of angst and want and desire. It never slows down and I loved it. You will be glued to your kindle until the very last page. This book was phenomenal. A truly amazing forbidden mc romance for the ages. You are gonna wanna read this trust me. It is epic!

It is epic!
