He was eighteen. The heir to a notorious, criminal MC. And my student. There was no way I could get involved. No way I could stay involved. Then, no way I could get out alive. An MC student/teacher romance.
I heard awesome things about this book, so I dove in with high expectations. I Was Not Disappointed!
This is a scorching hot story about a cocky young biker and his not so much older teacher. I’m a fan of student/teacher romance, but was on the fence about it also being an MC story… I jumped over that fence quickly when I met King and his family! Good Lord! He’s bold and brash, wise beyond his years, and utterly delicious! From the first moment Cressida saw King she was mesmerized, drawn to him like he represented everything that was missing in her structured, narrow, bland life.
The sexual chemistry and emotional connection between the two sucked me in and held me page after page. I loved watching Cressida become the vibrant woman she was always meant to be.
I can’t say enough about how well the story flowed…how the dialogue was intelligent and thoughtful. I’m hooked on Giana’s style, and I want to read stories about ALL the interesting secondary characters. This is a book that will remain one of my favorites for a very long time. 5 Stars!

What an intense, engaging, grab you by the throat and make you melt read. Cress and King’s story is a student/teacher forbidden romance and it is burst a thermometer hot! Filled with scorching scenes, filthy talk, and an attraction too sizzling to deny. King is so perfect. Totally alpha, a bad boy through and through and yet he has such sweetness and kindness to him. Cress is perfect for him. She is so intelligent, insecure but brave, and kind. She really helps to bring out the very best in King and he in turn helps her to become the woman she has always wanted to be. The storyline is complex and complicated. This is a book that entertains while it prompts you to contemplate deep and gritty questions. Like “What makes a person good or bad?”, or “student/teacher romance…acceptable or not?”. I loved that about this book because I guarantee when you start reading it you will think you know how you feel and be resolute in you convictions. However, after you finish this book I think you will have a different perspective. That is not to say I think this book will absolutely change your opinion because there is no way for me to know that. But, you will have had your mind opened to these questions and through these characters and the storyline you will be given a much more up-close view than you may have ever had before to cement and/or form your opinion. A truly epic romance! I loved it and highly recommend it.

Lessons in corruption is the first book in the Fallen Men Series and Cressida and King‘s story is everything and I just felt this story in my soul.
This is a student teacher romance and I’m super picky with them and there aren’t that many that I like, but this one quickly became my favorite.
I loved Cressida from the first second and could feel her love for books and to talk about them. Now I also want to read Paradise Lost and I just wish I could befriend her in real life.
And King is a poet biker and very devoted man and there was never anyone else than Cressida for him. I also liked to follow his development and with every page I fell more in love with him and their story is just absolute perfection.

AH I KNEW I BOUGHT THIS SERIES IN PAPERBACK FOR A REASON! I had so many of my book friends telling me to read it. I enjoy MC romance AND forbidden/age gap romance – So it was a given I would enjoy this MC teacher/student romance. I devoured it within 24 hours!
This story follows King Kyle Garro. Son of the MC leader. 18 year old heart throb who looked 25 more so than 18. Who falls for his 26 year old teacher; Cressida Irons.
Cress has grown up in a wealthy family who groomed her to marry her fathers best friend; William. 19 years her senior, as their marriage went on – Cress found herself feeling trapped & confused. Until she meets eyes with a sexy biker in the grocery shop car park.
King & Cress have chemistry straight away & begin something fun, with both knowing they both feel something deeper than they want to confess. Cress begins to let King in, until she finds out he is her student who has been skipping her class to hide from her as well as the MC leader’s son. Not only then does Cress have to face her morals as a teacher, but also learn if she can date a boy involved with the MC; Fallen.
I was truly addicted to their story. Cress did annoy me as she acted more immature than King at times, which was confusing considering King was the late teen and she was meant to be the young adult. But as Cress did grow up with a very sheltered life, that made more sense why she reacted the way she did to things. I was glad though that King gave Cress the opportunity to grow and make her on decisions.
The ending was HEA and opened up to the second book which I have already jumped into.
5/5 stars with 3.5/5 steam.

Cressida Irons & King Kyle Garro
What a wild ride! I was absolutely enthralled with Giana’s writing. She so eloquently detailed that I could envision everything she was describing so well.
Cressida is Kings teacher (which is no secret to the reader), however he is eighteen. So although this is taboo and forbidden there is nothing predatory about their relationship.
Cress is sheltered, so to speak. She’s loved her life set up for her by her parents and finally decides she done with it and wants to love. King is the perfect person to breath new life into her. The way he talks to her and pursues her is just heart grasping romantic. He’s a bad boy motorcycle club member with the sweetest interior ever.
I truly can’t wait to keep diving in to the rest of Giana’s Fallen Men series!

This book was amazing! I am so happy I read it. This has my least favorite trop of all time teacher/student but Giana Darling did it so well. Was I still a little uncomfortable? Yes! Especially in the beginning but towards the end it did get a lot better. If your like me and this is a trop that you don’t like and that’s why you have put off reading it. It’s worth it trust me.

I love books with a taboo nature and this book did not disappoint. King was just perfection when it came to a guy who knew what he wanted and did what he had to so he could get it. And sweet sweet Cressida was so not ready for him. Her naive nature sometimes made me want to shake her and ask her what she was doing or thinking but with how it was written I feel like it made me understand although it drove me a little crazy. But the opposites of their lives made them an interesting pair then add in that Cressida is King’s teacher and the 8 year age gap and I was hooked.

This is a forbidden age-gap romance between a student and his teacher.
This book has a lot of mixed reviews and I’m not sure why. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I personally like my MC romances a little darker but eh, it was still phenomenal! I love that Cressida spotted a beautiful man and as soon as they saw each other there was a connection, even if nothing happened. She accidentally fell for a man who’s wise behind his years and later turns out to be the new transfer student in her class.
The romance in this book was so good. King was cheesy but still alpha and I was here for it. I am so ready to see more of Daddy Zeus in the next book.

One day it finally dawns on her what that is and she learns that she is not living life. So she starts over in a new town and gets a job as a teacher. Now this is where is gets interesting. There is a new guy starting school and talks about him are circulating. She also meets a hot guy that just does something to her. Then she finally meets the new kid and her bubble burst. The guy she met and the new kid are one and the same. King Garro. Now he first laid eyes on her outside a grocery store. He also never thought he would see her again but fate has different plans. He does not want to pass this up. Now there will be challenges for them and keeping things on the down low. That is until it finally comes to light. How will this all end? Will it all blow up or can they make it work? I can say that King is not going to let her go without a fight. I loved this story and how everything played out. We do get a happy for now ending. I was finally able to sit down and finish this book, it took me forever because of schoolwork and all that crap and I must say I love it so much. This book tell us the history of Cressida aka queenie and King (just like that because my boy was giving his rightful name) she’s his teacher and 8 years older than him, honestly I’ve never been a big fan of that troop but Giana did a fantastic job with this one and I enjoy it so much.
Now on to the characters, Cressida is so relatable, like not every girl is inmune to danger and its born a biker babe so I completely understood her doubts during the book, I did find myself getting angry at her once or twice but I always went back to understand her. She is really good character, but for me this book was all about king. I fell in love with hime since we first met him just like Cress, he’s so perfect I just wanted to cry. He’s so badass and yet so tender just with her, and they way he talks omaygaaaahd. Seriously the boy is a both a poet and an amazing dirty talker HE’S HOT LIKE REAAALLY HOT!
I did tough the beginning was a bit slow and the plots at end could have been a bot more worked out, but overall its a really good book. I loved the world, the MC guys and everything! I can’t wait to jump on daddy’s Z book and Nova’s book. Im so glad I still have a lot of books to go trough in this world, I would definitely recommend this book!

When I first joined bookstagram, the first author I was introduced to was Giana Darling. I looked into all of her books and I fell in love without even reading them. It took me a while before I was able to buy this book but I’m so glad I did. I’ve always loved MC books, teacher/student and age gap books but I’ve also always found it difficult to find one that is well written. After reading the first chapter, I knew that I wouldn’t have to worry about any of those things.
I read the book in just under a day and I couldn’t put it down. King and Queenie are one of my favourite couples and I can’t wait to see more of them in future books. And I definitely can’t wait to see more of Zeus! This book is now by far the best book I’ve ever read and is my favourite book. I would quite happily read it over and over again. After just reading the first book and being introduced to a few of the Fallen Men, I am already in love with them.
I am now going to go on a book buying spree and buy the rest of the series…

Wow what a great start to an MC series! I instantly fell in love with King. Even though at the start of the book he is only 17 and shortly turned 18, he knew what he wanted and went after it. I had a hard time initially with Cressida. She sounded like she knew what she wanted but every single time she kept turning away from King. But I get why the author did that – because the story is technically an older woman and a younger man…plus Cress’s teaching job was also on the line. And add in the fact of the way she was raised and her 1st marriage to an older man meant that she really didn’t have a say until she finally took things into her own hands. I will say though I swooned every time King left Cress poems. OMG romance at it’s finest and the sex scenes were very steamy!!! Loved this book and immediately went to KU to download the 2nd book in the series.

I am obsessed with a good motorcycle romance, so I have no idea why it took me so long to start reading this series. With all the hype these books were getting I already knew I would love Zeus’ book because I love me some older man, but I was really unsure about lessons in corruption even though student-teacher romance is one of my favorite tropes.
One thing to know about me is that I was never really into the older woman younger man trope, even less a 18 year old younger hero. I usually stay away because in my mind the hero will still be childish, indecisive, reckless…things that are usual in that age. But boy did King proved me wrong and made me fall in love for the first time with this genre. I was not expecting him!! He is so secure of himself, he doesn’t play games, he is smart and dependable, he is strong and sexy, but most importantly when he decides is you that he wants he doesn’t go back, you are his ride or die forever.
So I am reading this book and thinking, can he be more perfect?? and yes he can because besides being smoking hot, smart and kind he still goes and does poetry!! Man, why is Gianna already creating such a high standard with the first book in the series? By the end not only King converted me, he made me fall in love with him during his small gestures, his gown up thinking and his unshakable resolve to stay true to his queenie even if she sometimes doubted their relationship.
What can I say about Queenie/Cress?! She really made me mad a couple of times with her actions and thinking, but in reality I can totally put myself in her place and understand where she was coming from. I think one of favorite things about her is that even though she is quick to judge and act, she doesn’t shy away of realising she is wrong and apologising and that right there is a trait of a strong woman. In the end I really loved her and I truly felt her love for King. She is the perfect Queen to her King and I am sure she will prove herself and stand by his side unshakably in the future, I can’t wait to read more of their love story!!

This was my first Giana Darling book and it won’t be my last! I don’t read a lot of forbidden romance books, but I’m glad I read this one! I love MC books and this one has been on my tbr for sometime. I am glad that I finally took the plunge and read it! I could see how some would call this a forbidden romance but I didn’t struggle at all with King and Cressida’s relationship. This booked hooked me from the very beginning and was hard to put down! I will be definitely reading the next book next! I would absolutely recommend this book!
