In his youth, Leonardo da Vinci wrote confidently, “I wish to work miracles.” By the time of his death in 1519, when he was sixty-seven and famed throughout Europe, it seemed that he had accomplished wonders aplenty as an artist, engineer, inventor, and scientist. Here, from author Jay Williams, is the moving story of the man behind the Renaissance myth.
This read like a research paper for high school. Dry details. I learned little about this fascinating perso
So far an excellent read. I have not finished it yet
It is an overview, not an in depth look at his life, art and talent.
Helped to understand Da Vinci better. He was very intelligent and a perfectionist. Ha dreamed big, but not very realistic. I wish he would not left so many un-finished art works. Thanks for the two French Kings so that he had lived an almost happy life.
Didn’t go into much depth much like this review.
Well worth reading of the history of Leonardo da Vinci. It gave a real insight into this incredible man.
