The special of the day is always murder… and the ceremony is only two weeks away! To bail out the beleaguered bride, Bethany rushes to find a uniquely beautiful spot for her friend to tie the knot.
But all bets are off when Bethany finds mummified remains at the new wedding locale. Crime scene tape definitely won’t fit in with the planned décor.
To cook up a solution—to the wedding woes and the murder—Bethany must rely on the two men vying for her heart. Can anyone say awkward?
And she’ll have to work fast…before death parts them all.

This is the fourth book in the Death Du Jour series. I enjoyed it just as much as the three before. There is murder, betrayal, twists and turns, red herrings and a wedding. Also more romance than I typically like, but I’m probably not a typical reader, either. There is plenty to like in this book, though, so don’t give it a miss!
I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Bethany Bradstreet is trying to help her partner in the Railway Cafe, Kimmy Caldwell, find a new venue for Kimmy’s wedding to her partner, Charley Perez, after their first one became flooded. With the help of her friend, Ryan Lazam, they think the wedding can be held at the grand LaFontaine Mansion. What Ryan and Bethany find when looking at the site was a mummy without his foot.
The mansion was recently purchased by the Lazams from Simon LaFontaine. Simon’s father, Bernard, recently passed away leaving the mansion and the extensive art collection of Jasper James Peregrine.
Nothing seems to go smoothly. Milo Armstrong, a writer for the Newbridge Community Observer and a friend of Charley, wants to go live with the story about the mummy immediately but Charley asks him to wait until after the wedding.
I enjoyed the characters in this story as well as the twists and turns involved.
A must read!
Kimmy is getting married! Bethany is helping to plan the wedding while trying to figure out who she really wants to be with. Things just keep going wrong with the wedding plans and then when they find the perfect venue, there is a body too. There is less cooking descriptions in this book than the others before it, but this is just an enjoyable easy read. The whole series is really easy and fun!
Lentil Death Do Us Part may be my favorite book in this series. I had so much enjoyment reading this that I could not put it down. With Kimmy having a meltdown almost every time she turns around, a flooded wedding venue, a new venue in the midst of a remodel, a corpse found at that new venue, Bethany realizing she needs to decide on either Ryan or Milo, and Ryan’s vision for the art museum not being the same as his father’s that is a lot happening in this story. This book has wonderful characters, plot twists, misdirects, and more. This is an amazing tale you will not want to miss.
Bethany finally has her restaurant up and running. Railway Cafe is doing well and she gets to cook the food she wants to and work alongside her best friend. The bad weather comes in and threatens to stop her friend’s wedding, Bethany goes to find another place to have it. She finds a wonderful spot except for the mummies! Now the police have taken over and there is no answer as to when they can have the area for the wedding. To make matters worse, the two men that are trying to win Bethany’s heart are working the case. Oh my! Can’t a girl get a break? You will love this wonderfully funny story. I know I did. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.
Charlie, a police detective, and Kimmie, co-owner of the Railway Café, are getting married. Bethany is the chef and also owner of the café. Kimmie seems to becoming a bridezilla. Due to excessive rain, the wedding venue is no longer available. Bethany’s wealthy boyfriend offers a large conservatory on his family estate for the venue. And this is when the story starts. While cleaning the conservatory, a mummy is found.
The mystery has lots of twists and turns – some predictable and many not. I really enjoyed the mystery. I read an earlier book in this series and found this one much more enjoyable.
