Everybody dreams of a Hawaiian Vacation… ended up dealing with the seedy underbelly of The Big Island.
And, I didn’t see one damn dolphin while undercover on a boat which was spilling over with drug dealers, Kingpins, and Pedophiles.
Elin and Elena think Cade’s family are the coolest people outside of Snapchat, but it’s hard to meet the parents when your boyfriend is in his late thirties and has never had a serious relationship.
I’d never missed my girls so much in my life, but Amy May, Bea, and Carmen are all dealing with issues of their own, and can’t come to my rescue.
The only thing that may help me with this “vacation” is if I could get Lei’d with Cupcakes.
WARNING: THIS BOOK CONTAINS FOUL LANGUAGE, SEX, SOME VIOLENCE, AND SHENANIGANS. IF NONE OF THAT BOTHERS YOU, GRAB A CUPCAKE AND READ ON!

Lila’s family set off with Cade for a relaxing trip to Hawaii to visit his family. Somehow things never go as planned for Lila as she lands smack in the middle of a major ring of illegal dealings. She sets out of save Alani and finds herself needing rescue.
This series gets better with each book. I love that we get to see the relaxed side of Cade with his family. His Mom and Dad are amazing and love Lila, Elin and Elena from day one. The kids get to experience life with doting grandparents as Lila falls even more in love with Cade. This book has some pretty heavy material and isn’t quite as light and funny as the previous books. I think that is in part because her girls aren’t there. Despite being in his childhood home this one is plenty steamy. Loving these characters more and more.
Wow! This book is full of fun and love but becomes scary towards the end. No spoilers here though. Loved the Hawaiian dictionary included too. It’s a great read!
I’m so excited I had the third part.
Still a lot of fun. God I love this series. I think it’s a different narrator again, but she’s just as good.
I’d definitely will be listening to it again. Sobs I need the next part.
This audio book was given to me for free at my request from the publisher or author or narrator and I provided this unbiased voluntary review.
This was the third installment in this series and was just as good as the first two. Still love the characters. We get a bit more suspense in this one when she goes against some bad guys who deal in human trafficking. So that was a little edge of your seat stuff. Loved reading about Cade and his family and getting to read how they interact and get along. And of course all the laugh out loud moments and awkward moments when it came to his mom either catching them trying to be intimate or just after. Can’t wait to read the next book.
I absolutely love this series! The author does an amazing job with the storyline and the characters. When I read this book, I though it was funny, sexy, loving and touched on the realistic problem our society has on trafficking of young people. Oh course, our heroine Lila always finds a case to solve and gets in a little trouble and needs our hero Cade to come in and help! Great ending and I am so excited for the next book!!
I’m really enjoying this series. These characters have so much going for them that I can’t wait to see what happens next. I love Cade’s momma, she is amazing! Cade is still gorgeous in all his alpha male glory. Lila and her girls are the best group of girl friends I would love to call my own. I was so so so excited about the news and how it all occurred. Sweetest way ever!
Lei’d with Cupcakes picks up where Cupcake Overload left off. Cade, Lila and her twins take a trip to Hawaii to meet Cade’s family. In true Lila fashion danger seems to follow her to the island. Her vacation turns into anything but relaxing when she discovers Cade’s younger sister is in trouble.
I really enjoyed this book, the Hawaiian backdrop, Cade’s hilarious mom, and the situation Lila found herself in. I love that these books maintain the same main characters, so while each audio is 4ish hours long, it doesn’t feel short because the plot is a continuation from the previous book. I adore Cade’s mom, her humor, and laid back attitude (I’d probably be more relaxed too if the ocean were in my backyard). While the main characters are the same, the secondary characters also have their own side stories going to you can’t help but become invested in. It is absolutely necessary to listen to or read the first 2 books in the series before this one, otherwise you’ll be very lost. I enjoyed listening to this narrator, she’s new to me but did a fantastic job.
I definitely liked this series. It was a romantic thriller but also had bits of romcom around the more serious parts. I loved how funny the older couple was, and how well they took in their new “grandkids”. Lopez also touched on big topics such as underage sex trafficking and drug running, she made the topics serious but still light enough that it didn’t bring the book down.
I adored the first two books in this series. While I enjoyed this one, it just didn’t have the same vibe as the first two for me.
I am all for over the top, cute, sassy, light reads. This one was all of that, but at the same time it felt too light for the subject of the story. Typically for a storyline like this one, I want more angst than cute and sassy. I just wasn’t connecting with it.
Overall, this book is a quick read. It follows suit in the other two where you won’t be too overloaded with emotions. You will chuckle from time to time. You might even be tempted to dive into a dozen of cupcakes.
