I have lived my whole life in the shadow of a magical secret being none the wiser…I am nobody. I am nothing. That is what has run through my head since I was a small child.Freak. Garbage. I have been called it all and from my own flesh and blood. Finally, at 17, I am free, as free as a homeless teenager can be. I constantly move around, doing every job I can to make sure I at least have food to … can to make sure I at least have food to eat, and I am thankfully alone.
I like it that way, and if it is up to me, it won’t change. No one will ever get close enough to hurt me again.
But when I get literally dragged, kicking and screaming into an ancient school for magic users hiding in plain sight, I know avoiding others will no longer do me any good. Because if I don’t build my powers and get ahead in this world, I am useless and dispensable.
What I don’t count on while working hard to stay on top is to get the attention of the Legendary Triad; three young men who are both the worst and the best people I have ever met. And our connection, like it or not, will shape our fate while at The Academy of Dark and Light.
And maybe even after.

Legendary triad by Rae Hendricks is an amazing story to read. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series that I have loved reading and can not wait to get the next book in this amazing series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Sci-Fi and fantasy .

Legendary Triad is not your typical paranormal romance story. It hits upon some genuine issues facing society today, such as drug abuse, addiction, domestic violence, homeless children, bullying, and more.
After being homeless for some time, Joelle finds herself attending a school for people with magical abilities. The young people attending the school are training to use their magic to protect the earth from alien races. The aliens attacking earth part of the storyline was the least believable part of the story. Along with the magical beings fighting with the mysterious gods, the author will need to make the alien aspects of the storyline more convincing in future books in the series.
Joelle also finds herself falling for Zeth, Gabriel, and Drake, the three boys that comprise the Legendary Triad. This book ends with things heating up with one of the boys. It is going to be interesting to see how or if this impacts Joelle’s relationship with the other two boys.

Great book, plenty of action, adventure and romance … something for everyone. In the end just not my cup of tea but it was well written with great characters!

Joelle is a runaway, living on the streets. Joelle’s story is heartbreaking, but so many kids live through this. She is being followed and doesn’t know why, until one day she is caught. What do they want with her? Why does she have to do this Academy? Why does she like all the guys from the legendary Triad? Why won’t the BB’s leave her alone? Why are they so mean to everyone? What will they do if I can’t control?

THIS IS BOOK 1 OF THE ACADEMY OF DARK & LIGHT. THIS WAS A GOOD BOOK. THE STORYLINE GRABBED MY ATTENTION FOR THE START AND I LIKED THE CHARACTERS. BOTH I FELT WERE WELL WRITTEN. THIS WAS A QUICK READ AND I WOULD RECOMMEND READING.

I rather liked this light hearted story of Joelle who starts out the book and series as a homeless teen and ends up at an Academy and learning she has powers. The story does not spend a lot of time on world building but instead focuses on Joelle and what is going on with her. There was the typical teenage issues of school, mean girls, and finding out what you really might want. It was petty clean for a YA reverse harem story in this book that sets up the rest of the story. Cannot wait to find out how Joelle gets closer to her guys, learns to control her powers and learn to trust people. The story was fun and it entertained me.
This is a great book! The characters are awesome, especially the FMC. The storyline is amazing and touches on a lot of real life struggles. This is a fantastic start to this series and I cannot wait for more!
The first in the series Academy of Dark & Light. Joelle finds out who and why she is being followed. The Legendary Triad come to her rescue as she looses control. The surprise ending was jaw dropping. Can’t wait for the next in the series!

*Spoiler Alert*
On the run and homeless Joelle (FMC) meets Zeth and her life changes. Pulled into a world she has no idea about she gets enrolled at The Academy of Light and Dark. A school for people like her but she doesnt get a warm welcome from everyone. Bullies, familiars, friends and guys – Zeth, Gabriel and Drake. A really good start. I loved Joelle’s character. Shes smart but unsure of herself. Which makes sense with her sad background story. A pretty good read
I really enjoyed this first book in a new series. Joelle had left home and was living on the streets because her step-father had attacked her and she fought back by accidentally setting him on fire – with her bare hands. Her mother and step-father were both drug addicts, so there was no way her mother was going to help her. She ran for a long time because she felt people were chasing her. They were, but not for the reason she thought. They were from a special school for people who were like her. They took her (screaming and kicking) to the school. Here she found other people – like her – who could wield magic. She also found three gorgeous guys to whom she was attracted. The strange thing was – they were also attracted to her – and they didn’t mind sharing.
